Description

Splicing display devices, automatic splicing equipment and portable film changing equipment

The present invention relates to a display device and related production and heavy industry equipment, and in particular to a splicing display device, automatic splicing equipment and portable film changing equipment.

Most of the current splicing display devices use double-sided tape to attach all display panels to the fixed plate, which is a full lamination process. When some display panels operate abnormally, it is not possible to rework only the abnormal display panels. On the other hand, the surface flatness of these display panels after splicing often depends on the flatness of the surfaces on the fixing board. If the processing flatness of the large-size fixing plate is not good, it will cause obvious step differences between the multiple display panels of the spliced display device and affect the overall appearance.

The present invention provides a splicing display device with better heavy-duty performance.

The invention provides an automatic splicing equipment with better splicing efficiency and Splicing accuracy.

The present invention provides a portable film changing device that can perform high-precision replacement of display panels at the installation site of a splicing display device.

FIG. 2 is a schematic rear view of the spliced display device in FIG. 1 . FIG. 3A is a partially enlarged perspective view of the spliced display device of FIG. 2 . FIG. 3B is a partial cross-sectional view of the spliced display device of FIG. 2 . FIG. 4A is a schematic cross-sectional view of the spliced display device of FIG. 1 . FIG. 4B is a schematic cross-sectional view of the spliced display device of FIG. 1 when the abnormal display panel is removed. For the sake of clear presentation, the illustration of the adhesive layer 190 in FIG. 2 is omitted in FIGS. 3A and 3B .

Referring to FIGS. 1 to 4A , the spliced display device 10 includes a frame 100 and a plurality of display panels 200 . The frame 100 has a plurality of openings 100OP. The display panels 200 are respectively disposed on the frame 100 corresponding to the openings 100OP, and the openings 100OP will expose a plurality of flexible circuit boards 250 on the back side of the display panel 200. The flexible circuit board 250 is, for example, a chip on film (COF), but is not limited thereto.

In this embodiment, the spliced display device 10 is, for example, a two-by-two array of four display panels 200 spliced together, but it is not limited to this. The number of spliced display panels 200 of the spliced display device can be adjusted according to different product designs.

The spliced display device 10 further includes a plurality of connecting members 150 that are detachably fixed on the frame member 100 . For example, the video wall 10 may further include a plurality of locking accessories 170 . These locking parts 170 pass through the frame 100 and are respectively locked on the plurality of connecting parts 150, so that the connecting parts 150 are fixed on the frame 100. In this embodiment, the locking member 170 is, for example, a screw and is provided with a threaded end, and the connecting member 150 is provided with a locking The threaded end of the component 170 matches the threaded hole (as shown in FIG. 3B), but is not limited thereto.

In this embodiment, the connecting member 150 can protrude from the frame member 100 and be exposed in the opening 100OP of the frame member 100 . It is particularly noted that the connecting member 150 has a hole 150h exposed in the opening 100OP of the frame member 100, and the hole 150h overlaps a portion of the surface of a corresponding display panel 200. An adhesive layer 190 is disposed in the hole 150h, and the connector 150 is connected to the overlapping display panel 200 via the adhesive layer 190 (as shown in FIG. 4A ). In other words, the display panel 200 is fixed on the frame member 100 through an adhesive relationship with the connecting member 150 .

Referring to FIG. 4B , when part of the display panel 200 of the splicing display device 10 (for example, the abnormal display panel 200X) is abnormal and cannot be repaired, the connecting member 150 and the frame member 100 that are adhered to the abnormal display panel 200X can be removed. connection relationship to remove the abnormal display panel 200X. For example, the locking component 170 can be removed to release the locking relationship between the connecting component 150 and the frame component 100 to remove the abnormal display panel 200X. Accordingly, the reworkability of the spliced display device 10 can be greatly improved, thereby reducing maintenance costs.

FIG. 5A is a perspective view of another modified embodiment of the spliced display device of FIG. 3A. FIG. 5B is a schematic cross-sectional view of the spliced display device of FIG. 5A. Please refer to FIGS. 5A and 5B . In a modified embodiment of FIG. 3A , a height adjustment member 160 may be optionally provided between the locking member 170A and the frame member 100A. More specifically, the height adjustment member 160 is passed through the frame member 100A, and the locking member 170A passes through the height adjustment member 160 and is locked on the connecting member 150 . In the embodiment of FIG. 5B , the height adjustment member 160 is, for example, a height adjustment screw and is provided with a threaded portion, while the frame member 100A is provided with a height adjustment screw. The threaded portion matches the screw hole, but is not limited to this.

In particular, the height adjustment member 160 can be used to adjust the height of the corresponding display panel 200 on the frame member 100A to reduce the height difference (ie, the step difference) between the display panel 200 and the adjacent display panel 200, which helps improve the The overall surface flatness of the spliced display device.

6A to 6D are schematic cross-sectional views of a display panel splicing process using an automatic splicing equipment according to an embodiment of the present invention. 7A and 7B are schematic bottom views of the positioning mechanism in FIG. 6B controlling the movement and rotation of the stage.

Please refer to FIG. 6A. The automatic splicing equipment 300 is suitable for splicing the splicing display device 10 of FIG. 1, and includes a clamping mechanism 305, a first moving mechanism 310, a second moving mechanism 320, a plurality of image capturing elements 330, and glue dispensing. 340, alignment mechanism 370 and carrier stage 380. The clamping mechanism 305 is adapted to clamp the frame member 100 in Figure 4A. For example, although not shown, the clamping mechanism 305 may be fixed on the base platform 301 of the automatic splicing equipment 300, but is not limited thereto. In another embodiment, the clamping mechanism 305 can be disposed on a moving mechanism (not shown) and move relative to the base platform 301 to realize the loading and unloading of the frame 100 .

A plurality of image capturing elements 330 and glue dispensers 340 are provided on the first moving mechanism 310 . The alignment mechanism 370 and the stage 380 are provided on the second moving mechanism 320 . The first moving mechanism 310 and the second moving mechanism 320 are adapted to move on opposite sides of the frame member 100 respectively.

For example, the frame member 100 has a receiving surface 100bs on one side facing the carrier 380, and a plurality of connecting members 150 are provided on the frame member 100 on one side of the receiving surface 100bs. The first moving mechanism 310 is suitable for driving the plurality of image capturing elements 330 and the dispenser 340 above the frame 100 to move along the first direction D1 and the second direction D2 parallel to the receiving surface 100bs of the frame 100 . The second moving mechanism 320 is suitable for driving the alignment mechanism 370 and the carrier 380 below the frame 100 along the first direction D1 and the second direction D2 parallel to the receiving surface 100bs of the frame 100 and along the direction perpendicular to the receiving surface 100bs. The third party moves towards D3. In this embodiment, the first direction D1, the second direction D2 and the third direction D3 may be selectively perpendicular to each other, but are not limited thereto.

The positioning mechanism 370 is provided on the second moving mechanism 320 . The carrier 380 is disposed on the alignment mechanism 370 and is suitable for carrying the display panel 200 . In this embodiment, the number of the display panels 200 carried by the carrier 380 is exemplified by taking one example, which does not mean that the present invention is limited to this. In other embodiments, the number of display panels 200 that can be placed on the carrier may also be multiple.

The alignment mechanism 370 is adapted to drive the carrier 380 to move along at least one direction parallel to the receiving surface 100bs of the frame 100 . For example, in this embodiment, the alignment mechanism 370 is adapted to drive the carrier 380 to move along the first direction D1 and the second direction D2, and to rotate along the rotation axis RX perpendicular to the receiving surface 100bs.

As shown in Figure 7A, in detail, the alignment mechanism 370 may include two first slide rail mechanisms 371a, 371b and two second slide rail mechanisms 372a, 372b, where each slide rail mechanism may be a slide block and a slide rail. combination, and the slider is adapted to slide along a specific direction in the slide rail, but is not limited to this. For example, in this embodiment, the two second slide rail mechanisms 372a and 372b can be disposed on the slide blocks of the two first slide rail mechanisms 371a and 371b, and are driven along the first slide rail mechanism. The first direction D1 or its reverse shift move. The stage 380 is disposed on the slide blocks of the two second slide rail mechanisms 372a and 372b, and is driven by the second slide rail mechanism to move along the second direction D2 or its reverse direction.

It is particularly noted that in this embodiment, the actuation of the second slide rail mechanism 372a and the second slide rail mechanism 372b of the alignment mechanism 370 can also be operated synchronously and in opposite directions. For example, as shown in FIG. 7B , the slider of the second slide rail mechanism 372b moves along the second direction D2, while the slider of the other second slide rail mechanism 372a moves along the opposite direction of the second direction D2 (i.e. direction D2"). In this way, the carrier 380 can be driven to rotate clockwise along the rotation axis RX, and conversely, the carrier 380 can be driven to rotate counterclockwise along the rotation axis RX (not shown).

The splicing process of the display panel 200 on the frame 100 will be exemplarily described below.

Referring to FIGS. 6A and 6B , the second moving mechanism 320 is moved along the first direction D1 to below the clamping mechanism 305 . When the display panel 200 on the carrier 380 overlaps one of the openings 100OP of the frame 100, the second moving mechanism 320 further drives the carrier 380 to rise along the third direction D3, so that the display panel 200 is as close as possible to the frame 100. of connector 150 but not touching.

Then, multiple image capturing elements 330 on the first moving mechanism 310 are used to capture multiple alignment marks (not shown) on the display panel 200 and confirm the deviation between the current position of the display panel 200 and the ideal position. condition. If there is a deviation, the alignment mechanism 370 can move the stage 380 along the first direction D1 and/or the second direction D2, or even rotate the stage 380 along the rotation axis RX, so that the display panel 200 on the stage 380 moves to Ideal location.

After the alignment is completed, the glue dispenser 340 is moved to above the connecting member 150 that overlaps the display panel 200 , as shown in FIG. 6C . After reaching the position, the dispenser 340 descends to a position close to the connecting member 150, and injects the adhesive material 190M into the hole 150h of the connecting member 150. It is particularly important to note that the adhesive material 190M will contact part of the surface of the display panel 200 within the hole 150h and the side wall of the connector 150 that defines the hole 150h, and solidify to form an integrated adhesive layer 190, as shown in FIG. 6D.

In this embodiment, the automatic splicing equipment 300 may further include a curing element 350, which is movably disposed on the first moving mechanism 310 and is suitable for curing the adhesive layer 190. For example, after the step of injecting the adhesive material 190M (as shown in FIG. 6C ) is completed, the curing element 350 is moved to above the connecting member 150 with the adhesive material 190M injected into the hole 150h. After the curing element 350 reaches the position, it descends to a position close to the connector 150 and irradiates the adhesive material 190M in the hole 150h with ultraviolet light to solidify the adhesive material 190M into the adhesive layer 190 . That is, the curing element 350 of this embodiment may be an ultraviolet light source, but is not limited thereto.

10。 The connection relationship between other connectors 150 and the display panel 200 can be achieved by repeating the steps shown in FIG. 6C and FIG. 6D , and will not be described again here. After the display panel 200 is connected to all corresponding connectors 150 , a splicing step of the display panel 200 on the frame member 100 is completed. By repeating the steps of FIG. 6A to FIG. 6D , multiple display panels 200 can be spliced and fixed on the frame member 100 , and the splicing display device 10 of FIG. 2 is completed.

In particular, since the display panel 200 and the connector 150 are connected through glue dispensing, the production efficiency and efficiency of the spliced display device 10 can be increased. Heavy duty convenience.

FIG. 8 is a schematic diagram of a portable film changing device installed on the splicing display device of FIG. 2 according to an embodiment of the present invention. 9A to 9C are schematic cross-sectional views of the splicing process of display panels for repair using the portable film changing device of FIG. 8 .

8 and 9A illustrate a portable film changing device 400 that can be installed on the spliced display device 10 . When some display panels in the spliced display device 10 (such as the abnormal display panel 200X in Figure 4B ) are abnormal and cannot be repaired, maintenance personnel can directly use the portable film changing equipment 400 at the installation site of the spliced display device 10 . Replacement of abnormal display panel.

200R。 Please refer to FIG. 8 and FIG. 9A. In detail, the portable film changing device 400 includes a base 401, an alignment mechanism 470, a stage 480 and a plurality of image capturing elements 430. The base 401 is detachably fixed on the frame 100 of the spliced display device 10 . The alignment mechanism 470 and the plurality of image capturing elements 430 are disposed on the base 401 . The carrier 480 is disposed on the alignment mechanism 470, and its receiving surface 480bs facing away from the alignment mechanism 470 is suitable for carrying the repair display panel 200R.

470。 It is particularly noted that the portable film changing device 400 further includes a plurality of supporting columns 410 connected to the base 401 . When the portable film changing device 400 is installed on the frame 100, these support columns 410 will separate a space SP between the base 401 and the frame 100, and an alignment mechanism 470 is disposed in this space SP.

The portable film changing device 400 can be locked on the frame 100 through a plurality of locking parts 405 . For example, the base 401 is provided with a hole 401h at a portion connected to the support column 410, and the locking accessory 405 (such as a fixing screw) can pass through the hole 401h of the base 401. Together with the support column 410 and locked on the frame 100, the portable film changing device 400 is fixed on the frame 100.

The alignment mechanism 470 is adapted to drive the carrier 480 to move along the first direction D1 and the second direction D2 parallel to the receiving surface 480bs, and to rotate along the rotation axis RX perpendicular to the receiving surface 480bs. Since the alignment mechanism 470 of the portable film changing device 400 is similar to the alignment mechanism 370 of the aforementioned automatic splicing device 300, please refer to the aforementioned relevant paragraphs for detailed description, and will not be described again here.

200X。 The film changing process of the portable film changing device 400 will be exemplarily described below. First, as shown in FIG. 4B , the connection relationship between the connecting member 150 and the frame member 100 adhered to the abnormal display panel 200X is first released to remove the abnormal display panel 200X. For example, the locking component 170 can be removed to release the locking relationship between the connecting component 150 and the frame component 100 to remove the abnormal display panel 200X.

It is particularly important to note that after the abnormal display panel 200X is removed, the connecting member 150 originally connected to the abnormal display panel 200X on the frame 100 will also be removed (as shown in FIG. 4B ). Therefore, before starting the film replacement process, a plurality of connectors 150 need to be re-locked on the frame member 100 for connection to subsequent replacement display panels.

200R。 After the abnormal display panel 200X is removed, the portable film changing device 400 is set up and fixed on the side of the frame 100 away from the display panel 200 . As shown in FIG. 9A , the portable film changing device 400 is installed on the frame 100 , and its carrier 480 is adapted to pass through the opening 100OP of the frame 100 , and protrudes to the side of the frame 100 away from the base 401 , to undertake the repair of display panel 200R.

It is particularly important to note that the extent of protrusion of the stage 480 from the opening 100OP is only A slight gap can be maintained between the repair display panel 200R and the connecting member 150 on the frame member 100 to facilitate subsequent alignment operations.

After the portable film changing device 400 completes taking the film, multiple image capture elements 430 are used to capture multiple alignment marks (not shown) on the repair display panel 200R and confirm the alignment of the repair display panel 200R. The deviation between the current position and the ideal position. If there is a deviation, the alignment mechanism 470 can move the stage 480 along the first direction D1 and/or the second direction D2, or even rotate the stage 480 along the rotation axis RX, so that the repair display panel 200R on the stage 480 Move to the desired location.

After the alignment is completed, the (hand-held) glue dispenser 440 is used to inject the adhesive material 190M into the respective holes 150h of the corresponding multiple connectors 150, and solidifies to form an adhesive layer connecting the repair display panel 200R and the connector 150. 190. The curing method of the adhesive material 190M here can be cured by illumination (such as ultraviolet light or laser light) similar to that shown in FIG. 6D , moisture absorption curing, or other curing methods suitable for use at the construction site, which is not limited by the present invention. Therefore, the selection of adhesive material 190M can be adjusted according to different curing methods.

Referring to FIG. 9C , after the connection between the repair display panel 200R and the frame 100 is completed, the locking accessory 405 can be removed to release the locking relationship between the portable film changing device 400 and the frame 100 . At this point, the film changing process of the spliced display device 10 is completed.

Since the portable film changing device 400 can be set up on the frame 100 of the spliced display device 10 and is equipped with the alignment mechanism 470 and the image capture element 430, the splicing accuracy of the repair display panel 200R on the frame 100 can be achieved. Significant improvement.

To sum up, in the splicing display device according to an embodiment of the present invention, the splicing The display panel is fixed on the frame through multiple connectors. When some of the display panels of the spliced display device are abnormal and cannot be repaired, the display panel that is not functioning properly can be removed by releasing the connection between the connector and the frame. Accordingly, the reworkability of the spliced display device can be greatly improved. In addition, the display panel and the connector are connected through glue dispensing, which can increase the production efficiency and rework convenience of the spliced display device. Based on the above structural features, the present invention also provides an automatic splicing equipment that can quickly and accurately produce the above spliced display device.
