PT1。When the display device 10 is in the decoration mode, the decoration panel DP is not enabled and the first cholesteric liquid crystal layer 150 is in a reflective state (or, in other words, a planar state). At this time, the thickness T1a of the first cholesteric liquid crystal layer 150 in the first area DP1a is thicker, the reflectivity of the first area DP1a is higher, and the first area DP1a is biased towards showing the light intended to be reflected by the first part DP1 of the decorative panel DP. color. The thickness T1b of the first cholesteric liquid crystal layer 150 in the second region DP1b is thinner, the reflectivity of the second region DP1b is lower (that is, the transmittance is higher), and the second region DP1b tends to appear on the display panel behind the decorative panel DP. 300 colors. Thereby, the first part DP1 of the decorative panel DP can present the first decorative pattern PT1.

Please refer to FIG. 1F and FIG. 3 . When the display device 10 is in the decoration mode, the decorative panel DP is not enabled (that is, the potential difference between the first light-transmitting conductive layer 120 and the second light-transmitting conductive layer 202 is substantially 0). The dicholesterol liquid crystal layer 190 is in a reflective state (or in a planar state), and the second part DP2 of the decorative panel DP presents the second decorative pattern PT2. In particular, the second decorative pattern PT2 presented in the second part DP2 of the decorative panel DP corresponds to the second light-transmitting structure 170 . In this embodiment, the second decorative pattern PT2 substantially overlaps with the second light-transmitting structure 170 . That is to say, in the top view of the display device 10 , the texture of the second decorative pattern PT2 substantially coincides with the position of the second light-transmitting structure 170 .

T2b。The first area DP2a of the second part DP2 of the decorative panel DP does not include the second light-transmitting structure 170. The second area DP2b of the second part DP2 of the decorative panel DP includes a second light-transmitting structure 170. The thickness T2a of the second cholesteric liquid crystal layer 190 in the first region DP2a is greater than the thickness T2b of the second cholesteric liquid crystal layer 190 in the second region DP2b.

PT2。When the display device 10 is in the decoration mode, the decoration panel DP is not enabled and the second cholesteric liquid crystal layer 190 is in a reflective state (or, in other words, a planar state). At this time, the thickness T2a of the second cholesteric liquid crystal layer 190 in the first area DP2a is thicker, the reflectivity of the first area DP2a is higher, and the first area DP2a is biased towards showing the reflection intended by the second part DP2 of the decorative panel DP. color. The thickness T2b of the second cholesteric liquid crystal layer 190 in the second region DP2b is thinner, the reflectivity of the second region DP2b is lower (that is, the transmittance is higher), and the second region DP2b tends to appear on the display panel behind the decorative panel DP. 300 colors. Thereby, the second part DP2 of the decorative panel DP can present the second decorative pattern PT2.

When the display device 10 is in the decoration mode, the first part DP1 and the second part DP2 of the decoration panel DP respectively present the first decoration pattern PT1 and the second decoration pattern PT2. The first decoration pattern PT1 and the second decoration pattern PT2 can be superimposed into content. / Decorative patterns PT with richer and more colorful colors elevate the decorative effect of the display device 10 to another level.

Please refer to FIG. 1F. In this embodiment, the pitch of the first cholesteric liquid crystal layer 150 and the pitch of the second cholesteric liquid crystal layer 190 may be different, and the first part DP1 and the second part DP2 of the decorative panel DP are predetermined to reflect the color. But it's different. For example, in this embodiment, the colors intended to be reflected by the first part DP1 and the second part DP2 of the decorative panel DP may be red and green respectively.

Please refer to FIG. 1F and FIG. 2 . In this embodiment, when the display device 10 is in the decoration mode, the display panel 300 can be selectively disabled and appear black. At this time, the first area DP1a of the first part DP1 of the decorative panel DP, for example, appears light red, and the second area DP1b of the first part DP1 of the decorative panel DP, for example, appears reflected by the first cholesteric liquid crystal layer 150 of the second area DP1b. The red color is a dark red color mixed with the black color provided by the disabled display panel 300 at the rear.

In this embodiment, the first area DP1a of the first part DP1 of the decorative panel DP may correspond to the light red wood area PT1a of the first decorative pattern PT1, and the second area DP1b of the first part DP1 of the decorative panel DP may correspond to the first decoration The dark red wood grain area PT1b of the pattern PT1, and the entire first decorative pattern PT1 can present a red log section.

Please refer to FIG. 1F and FIG. 3 . When the display device 10 is in the decoration mode, the first area DP2a of the second part DP2 of the decorative panel DP appears light green, and the second area DP2b of the second part DP2 of the decorative panel DP appears as follows. The green color reflected by the second cholesteric liquid crystal layer 190 of the second region DP2b is a dark green color mixed with the black color provided by the unenabled display panel 300 at the rear.

In this embodiment, the first area DP2a of the second part DP2 of the decorative panel DP is the light green wood area PT2a corresponding to the second decorative pattern PT2, and the second area DP2b of the second part DP2 of the decorative panel DP corresponds to the second The dark green wood grain area PT2b of the decorative pattern PT2, while the entire second decorative pattern PT2 presents a green log section.

In this embodiment, the distribution manner of the first light-transmitting structure 130 and the distribution manner of the second light-transmitting structure 170 can be selectively the same, and the first light-transmitting structure 130 and the second light-transmitting structure 170 are slightly staggered. Specifically, in this embodiment, the first decorative pattern PT1 corresponding to the first light-transmitting structure 130 may be a red log section, and the second decorative pattern PT2 corresponding to the second light-transmitting structure 170 may be a green log section, where the red The wood grain of the log section is slightly offset from the wood grain of the green log section, and the decorative pattern PT formed by superimposing the first decorative pattern PT1 and the second decorative pattern PT2 can present a more layered log section with a shadow-like effect.

PT。However, the present invention is not limited thereto. In other embodiments, the pattern and/or color of the first decorative pattern PT1 can be changed by changing the pattern of the first light-transmitting structure 130 and/or the pitch of the first cholesteric liquid crystal layer 150. Changing the distribution of the second light-transmitting structure 170 and/or the pitch of the second cholesteric liquid crystal layer 190 can change the pattern and/or color of the second decorative pattern PT2, thereby superimposing a decorative pattern PT with more diverse patterns and/or colors.

Please refer to FIG. 1F. In this embodiment, through the cooperation of the first part DP1 and the second part DP2 of the decorative panel DP, the decorative panel DP can provide more than two colors. For example, in this embodiment, the first area DP1a of the first part DP1 of the decorative panel DP reflects a larger amount of red light, and the second area DP1b of the first part DP1 of the decorative panel DP reflects a smaller amount of red light. The first area DP2a of the second part DP2 of the panel DP reflects a greater amount of green light, and the second area DP2b of the second part DP2 of the decorative panel DP reflects a smaller amount of green light. In the area I where the first area DP1a of the first part DP1 of the decorative panel DP overlaps with the first area DP2a of the second part DP2 of the decorative panel DP, a larger amount of red light and a larger amount of green light are reflected and mixed into the first type Color light. In the area II where the second area DP1b of the first part DP1 of the decorative panel DP overlaps the first area DP2a of the second part DP2 of the decorative panel DP, a smaller amount of red light and a larger amount of green light are reflected and mixed into the second area II. Colored light. In the area III where the first area DP1a of the first part DP1 of the decorative panel DP overlaps with the second area DP2b of the second part DP2 of the decorative panel DP, a larger amount of red light and a smaller amount of green light are reflected and mixed into a third Colored light.

Please refer to FIG. 1F. On the other hand, the display device 10 can be switched to a display mode in addition to the above-mentioned decoration mode. When the display device 10 is in the display mode, the decorative panel DP is enabled (that is, the potential difference between the first light-transmitting conductive layer 120 and the second light-transmitting conductive layer 202 is substantially greater than 0), and the first cholesteric liquid crystal layer 150 and the second cholesteric liquid crystal layer 150 are The liquid crystal layer 190 is in a transmissive state. At this time, the display light beam emitted by the display panel 300 will pass through the decorative panel DP and transmit the display information carried by it to the user's eyes. In this embodiment, the penetration state may refer to the focal conic state or the vertical state, which is not limited by the present invention.

It is worth mentioning that by using the decorative panel DP including the first light-transmitting structure 130 and the second light-transmitting structure 170, the display device 10 can not only present the decorative pattern PT in the decoration mode, but also display the decorative pattern PT according to the user's needs in the display mode. It is selected to present the display information of the display panel 300 without presenting the decorative pattern PT. That is to say, by integrating the switchable decorative panel DP, the display device 10 can have more diverse functions. More importantly, the first decorative pattern PT1 and the second decorative pattern PT2 can be provided through the first part DP1 and the second part DP2 of the decorative panel DP having the first light-transmitting structure 130 and the second light-transmitting structure 170 respectively. The decorative pattern PT1 and the second decorative pattern PT2 can form a decorative pattern PT with richer and more diverse contents and/or colors, thereby raising the decorative effect of the display device 10 to another level.

In addition, in this embodiment, the first part DP1 and the second part DP2 of the decorative panel DP share the same set of light-transmitting electrodes (ie, the first light-transmitting conductive layer 120 and the second light-transmitting conductive layer 202 ). That is to say, the first part DP1 and the second part DP2 of the decorative panel DP are integrated in the same unit cell (Cell) formed by the first substrate 110 and the second substrate 201, which has the advantages of simple manufacturing process and thin thickness.
