Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a system for claiming goods preannouncement. The system includes a database for storing information of a good to be claimed and a processor coupled to the database. The processor is programmed to perform the following operations: detecting a location of a receiving device; determining a distance between the location of the receiving device and a POS (Point of Sales) system where the database is; transmitting a good-claiming notice of the good to be claimed to the receiving device when the distance is less than a value; and transmitting a good-returning notice or a store-changing notice to the receiving device when the distance is greater than the value in a predetermined time. The present disclosure also relates to a method for claiming goods preannouncement.

Description

Delivery notice system and method

The present invention relates to a system and method for taking goods in advance.

With the rise of online shopping websites and smartphones, online shopping has become a major area of modern consumption patterns. Consumers can place an order on the website for the products they want to buy, and can choose home delivery or supermarket pickup. In the current supermarket pick-up process, consumers must go to pick up the goods within a certain period of time after the goods arrive at the supermarket, provide information (such as mobile phone number and/or name, etc.) to the store clerk, and wait for the clerk to find the product. How to simplify the supermarket pick-up process, shorten the waiting time of consumers, reduce the risk of privacy leakage, and improve the utilization of supermarket space are the problems that this disclosure wants to solve.

An embodiment of the present disclosure relates to a delivery notice system, which includes a database storing information on items to be picked up and a processor coupled to the database. Fig. 1 shows a delivery notice system 1 according to some embodiments of the present application. The delivery notice system 1 includes a processor 10 and a point of sale terminal (Point of Sales, POS) system 12 .

In some embodiments, the picker (also referred to as a user or customer in this disclosure) can use the receiving device 13 to connect to the processor 10 and the POS system 12 via the internet 14 . Similarly, POS system 12 may be connected to processor 10 via Internet 14 .

In some embodiments, the processor 10 may be implemented through hardware, software, firmware, non-transitory computer readable media, or a combination thereof. The processor 10 may include (but not limited to) a storage device 10a, which stores program instructions that can be used to execute the method for picking up an advance notice of the present disclosure. The processor 10 can execute the processor-executable steps included in the program instructions, and the details of the steps will be described in detail below with reference to FIG. 2 .

In some embodiments, the POS system 12 may include (but not limited to) one or more databases 12a, input devices 12b. The database 12a stores information about goods to be picked up, such as goods arrival information, sender information, picker information, consumption amount, delivery address, etc. In the present invention, the database (such as the database 12a) may include any feasible database form, such as a relational database, a structured query language (SQL) database, a decentralized database (distributed database), object-oriented database (object oriented database), etc. Each database may be a separate or independent database, or may be databases that communicate with each other (eg, via the Internet). The input device 12b may include, but is not limited to, a scanner, a keyboard, a mouse cursor, a touch device, or a combination thereof. In some embodiments, information input from the input device 12b may be stored in the database 12a.

In some embodiments, the receiving device 13 may include (but not limited to) personal computer (personal computer), tablet computer (tablet computer (such as iPad ^TM )), mobile phone (such as iPhone ^TM , Android ^TM mobile phone), smartphone A smartphone, a personal digital assistant (PDA), or any other device that can be connected to the processor 10 via the Internet 14 and receive information from the processor 10 and the POS system 12 . Referring to box 20 and box 21, when the goods to be picked up (hereinafter referred to as goods) arrive at the store (or other locations or service providers that can provide collection goods), information about the goods can be stored in the database of the store (such as The database 12a) of the POS system 12 of FIG. 1 . For example, shop assistants (also referred to as users or service providers in this disclosure) can store information in the database 12a via the input device 12b. The goods arrival information can be transmitted from the POS system 12 to the processor (such as the processor 10 of FIG. 1 ) via the Internet.

Referring to block 22, after the processor 10 receives the goods arrival information from the POS system 12, the processor 10 can send a goods arrival notification to the receiving device (such as the receiving device 13 in FIG. 1 ) to notify the picker that the goods have arrived at the store .

The goods arrival notification can be as shown in Figure 3A. Referring to FIG. 3A , FIG. 3A depicts a screen shot of a picker's receiving device 13 according to some embodiments of the present invention. In some embodiments, the goods arrival notification may include an arrival notification message 30a and a web interface 30b. The network interface 30b may allow the picker to choose whether to pick up the item (as shown in block 23 ) and allow the picker to return the pick-up notice to the processor 10 . The web interface 30b may include any form, such as a graphical user interface or a form with one or more fields. In some embodiments, the web interface 30b can also allow the picker to select the item to be picked up among a plurality of items. example For example, there may be multiple goods in the same store waiting for the same picker to pick up the goods, and the picker can only select some of the goods to make a pick-up notice. In some embodiments, the web interface 30b may also allow the picker to send back the date and time of picking up the item to the processor 10 . The goods arrival notice shown in FIG. 3A is in the form of a text message. However, as mentioned above, the processor 10 can send the pick-up notice to the pick-up through the receiving device 13 and through the application notification, phone number, and/or mailbox address, etc. Those (or members) are not limited to the one shown in Figure 3A.

Returning to Fig. 2, with reference to block 23, if the pick-up person chooses to pick up the goods (that is, yes) and the receiving device 13 returns the advance notice of picking up the goods, the process 2 proceeds to block 27, and the POS system 12 and the processor 10 receive the goods automatically. The device 13 receives an advance notice of picking up the goods. In some embodiments, the POS system 12 may display an advance pickup notification to store associates. In some embodiments, the pre-pickup notice displayed by the POS system 12 may allow the store clerk to choose whether to accept the pick-up (as shown in block 28 ) and return a pick-up confirmation notice to the receiving device 13 .

Referring to block 28, if the clerk accepts the pick-up (that is, yes), the process 2 proceeds to block 29, and the POS system 12 returns a pick-up confirmation notification (as shown in FIG. 3C ) to the receiving device 13 . At the same time, the clerk can take out the goods before the picker arrives at the store, so as to shorten the waiting time of the picker.

In some embodiments, the pickup confirmation notification may include a notification message 32a and a cargo identifier 32b. The cargo identifier 32b may include any technology supported by the receiving device 13, such as Near Field Communication, QR Code (Quick Response Code), Universal Product Code (Universal Product Code) and so on. In some embodiments, the item identifier 32b may correspond to item information stored in the database 12a of the POS system 12 . In some embodiments, when the picker arrives at the store, he can use the goods identifier 32b displayed on the receiving device 13 to verify his identity (as shown in block 30). In the current pick-up process, when the picker wants to pick up the goods, he must provide personal information (such as phone number, last three digits of the mobile phone, name, surname, etc.) to the store clerk to confirm his identity. In some embodiments, item identifier 32b may include a graphic or identification code. In some embodiments, the item identifier 32b may identify an individual or package identification code. In some embodiments, an individual item identifier 32b allows a store clerk to swipe the items of the same picker at one time. For example, a picker can claim all of his or her goods through the goods identifier 32b.

Referring back to block 28 , if the clerk does not accept the pick-up (ie, No), the process 2 proceeds to block 31 , and the POS system 12 returns a waiting notification to the receiving device 13 . The wait notification can allow the picker to choose whether to wait and return the result to the POS system 12 . If the picker accepts to wait (that is, yes), the process 2 proceeds to block 29, and the POS system 12 returns a pick-up confirmation notice (as shown in FIG. 3C ) to the receiving device 13, and the subsequent process is as described above. If the picker chooses not to accept the waiting (that is, No), the process 2 returns to block 24, and the processor 10 determines whether the position of the receiving device 13 is within a certain range.

Referring back to block 23, when the picker chooses not to pick up the goods (that is, No) when receiving the notification of the arrival of the goods, the process 2 proceeds to block 24, and the processor 10 determines whether the location of the receiving device 13 is within a certain range. In some embodiments, the certain range refers to a certain range defined around the store where the goods are located.
