Abstract

The present invention relates to a method, device and recording medium implemented by an electronic device. A method according to an embodiment of the present invention may include the following steps: receiving an order request for one or more items from a first page associated with an order request for the items from a user terminal; providing a checkout page displaying order-related information to the user terminal (the order-related information includes at least a portion of the checkout reservation information and delivery reservation information corresponding to the order request); confirming whether the user has joined the membership based on identification information of the user corresponding to the user terminal; in response to confirming that the user has not joined the membership, determining at least one offer that can be applied to the order if the user has joined the membership; and providing a first user interface for selecting application of the at least one offer to at least a portion of the area on the checkout page; and changing the order-related information based on input into the first user interface.

Description

Method, device and recording medium for processing settlement of order requests

The present invention relates to a technology for processing orders. More specifically, it relates to a technology for providing a method for providing information about control conditions that apply to a user's order and guiding the user to join a membership by allowing the user to select whether to apply the control conditions.

When providing e-commerce services, a membership system may be implemented. Membership systems are typically operated on a subscription basis, where users maintain their membership by paying a recurring subscription fee (e.g., a monthly fee). However, membership systems can also be implemented as a one-time purchase (OTP) system. E-commerce service providers can secure a stable user base through membership and expect to generate additional revenue, such as membership fees. Existing members can enjoy various benefits that come with joining and maintaining their membership.

One method to encourage non-members to join is to promote the benefits they receive upon joining. However, simply listing the benefits may make it difficult for users to directly appreciate the benefits of membership, and this may not attract their attention. Furthermore, after a user completes a purchase, their desire to join may decrease. Even if they do wish to join, the tedious process of finding and accessing the membership registration page may lead to membership fatigue.

The technical problem to be solved by one embodiment of the present invention is to provide the following technology: during the checkout process of an order for goods, by providing information related to the discounts applicable to the order, to guide users to join the membership.

Another technical problem addressed by one embodiment of the present invention is to provide the following technology: While initiating the user's ordering process and completing the checkout process, the user is offered the option to enroll in a membership and apply the membership benefits to the currently in-progress order.

Another technical problem to be solved by one embodiment of the present invention is to provide the following technology: an interface that allows users to more conveniently join membership during the settlement process of an order for goods.

The technical topics of this invention are not limited to those mentioned above. Those with common sense in the technical field of this invention can clearly understand other technical topics not mentioned based on the following description.

One embodiment of the present invention is a method implemented by an electronic device, which may include the following steps: receiving an order request for one or more items on a first page associated with an order request for items from a user terminal; providing a settlement page displaying order-related information to the user terminal (the order-related information includes at least a portion of the settlement reservation information and delivery reservation information corresponding to the order request); based on the communication with the user terminal, Verifying membership eligibility based on the user's identification information; in response to verifying that the user has not yet become a member, applying at least one promotional offer to the order upon confirming that the user has become a member; providing a first user interface for selecting application of the at least one promotional offer to at least a portion of the checkout page; and modifying order-related information based on input received through the first user interface.

In one embodiment, the following steps may be further included: receiving a settlement request via the settlement page; in response to receiving the settlement request, settling the order based on the modified order-related information; and adding identification information of the user corresponding to the user terminal to the membership list.

In one embodiment, the first user interface may display information related to the at least one offer, and input into the first user interface may include inputting an indication of an intent to apply for the at least one offer when joining the membership and performing a checkout corresponding to the order request.

In one embodiment, the first user interface may be configured to display only information related to one of the at least one offer if the at least one offer includes multiple offers. Furthermore, if a discount is applied to the order's scheduled payment, the discount is displayed prior to displaying the other offers.

In one embodiment, the method may further include the following steps: providing a second user interface in response to receiving the order request, the second user interface being configured to receive an input selecting either application of the at least one offer or rejection of the at least one offer; and providing the first user interface to at least a portion of the checkout page in response to receiving an input selecting rejection of the at least one offer as input to the second user interface.

In one embodiment, the at least one preferential offer may include a discount applied to a first scheduled settlement amount corresponding to the order, and the step of modifying the order-related information may include the step of modifying the first scheduled settlement amount in the scheduled settlement information to a second scheduled settlement amount after applying the discount.

In one embodiment, the step of modifying the order-related information may include the following steps: based on whether the user has a history of joining the membership, modifying the first scheduled settlement amount to a third scheduled settlement amount, where the third scheduled settlement amount is the sum of the second scheduled settlement amount after applying the discount and the additional amount used to join the membership.

In one embodiment, the at least one offer may include the following: for at least some of the one or more items, the scheduled delivery date is set to within a first time period from the time the order is completed; and the change in the order-related information includes a change in the scheduled delivery information.

In one embodiment, the step of determining the at least one offer may include the following steps: for each of the one or more alternate offers applicable upon membership enrollment, determining whether there is a difference between a first result derived from not applying the offer and a second result derived from applying the offer; and based on whether the difference exists, determining the at least one offer applicable to the order.

In one embodiment, the step of determining the at least one discount may include the following step: determining at least one discount applicable to the order based on one or more items corresponding to the order request.

In one embodiment, the first page may be a shopping cart page or a product details page.

An electronic device according to one embodiment of the present invention may be configured to include: one or more processors; and one or more memories storing commands to be executed by the one or more processors; and when the one or more processors execute the commands, the one or more processors perform the method of the present invention.

A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium according to one embodiment of the present invention may be configured to record commands that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform actions, and the commands cause the one or more processors to perform the method of the present invention.

According to the present invention, during the process of checking out an order for an item, information related to discounts applicable to the order can be provided to guide users to join the membership program.

According to the present invention, when a user begins the ordering process and settles the order, the user can be provided with the option of enrolling in a membership and applying the membership benefits to the order.

According to the present invention, an environment can be provided that allows users to more conveniently join membership during the settlement process of an order for goods.

The effects of the technical concept of this invention are not limited to the effects mentioned above. A person of ordinary skill in the art can clearly understand other effects not mentioned based on the description.

Figure 1 shows an electronic device environment in which one embodiment of the present invention can be applied. Electronic device 101 and user terminal 102 are connected via a network and can communicate with each other.

Electronic device 101 may be a server device that provides e-commerce services. In other words, electronic device 101 may be a server device that operates under the management of an operator of the e-commerce service.

Electronic device 101 can manage information related to users utilizing e-commerce services. For example, user-related information managed by electronic device 101 may include the user's name, age, address, or contact information. The management of user-related information can be a general term for a range of actions involving processing such information with control authority. For example, the management of user-related information may include storing, updating, or modifying such information.

Electronic device 101 can manage information related to items that users can order using e-commerce services. E-commerce services can be services that sell items such as merchandise, products, or food, or services that broker such sales between users. E-commerce services can deliver items to users in response to their orders. Electronic device 101 can manage information related to items, including various information such as item identification information, item category information, item price information, information related to the item's delivery type, and item discount information.

Electronic device 101 can manage order requests for items from users utilizing e-commerce services. Order requests can include information related to an item set, which includes one or more items that are the subject of an order. Information related to the item set can include identification information, quantity information, and price information for each item in the item set. In one embodiment, an order request can include information about the total amount corresponding to the order. In one embodiment, an order request can include information about the user requesting the order. User information can include information related to the user's account, user identification information, and address information. In one embodiment, an order request can include information used to settle the order. For example, an order request can include information related to the settlement method. In the present invention, settlement means may include all settlement means, such as credit cards, debit cards, and transfers. Therefore, information related to settlement means may include encrypted or unencrypted bank card information, bank-related information, etc.

The management of information by electronic device 101 can be a general term for a series of actions involving processing information with control authority over that information. For example, the management of user-related information may include storing, updating, or modifying that information.

Electronic device 101 can manage various information provided to users utilizing e-commerce services. Based on requests from administrators managing the e-commerce services or users utilizing the services, electronic device 101 can manage various data required to provide the e-commerce services. For example, electronic device 101 can generate, modify, store, or provide users with data related to various pages associated with the e-commerce services, including item description pages, search results pages, item sales pages, shopping cart pages, membership registration pages, activity pages, and login pages corresponding to user access requests.

In one embodiment, electronic device 101 may provide a page related to the e-commerce service to user terminal 102 based on a request from a user utilizing the e-commerce service. The page provision action may include displaying and providing at least a portion of all data generated during the user's use of the e-commerce service to the user, or providing such data to user terminal 102. Here, the page related to the e-commerce service provided to user terminal 102 may include an order-related page for enabling the user to place an order for a collection of items, a page related to the item being the subject of the user's order request, and the like. The page provision action may include providing at least a portion of all data generated during the user's use of the e-commerce service to the user.

Furthermore, electronic device 101 can manage transactions related to e-commerce services provided to users, that is, transactions related to online items (e.g., property or services). Specifically, electronic device 101 can manage the series of processes that enable users to search for, select, purchase, settle payments for, and request delivery of items. As part of these processes, electronic device 101 can provide users with information related to items and receive and process user purchase, settlement, and delivery requests, enabling users to search for, select, purchase, settle payments for, and request delivery of items. Furthermore, it should be noted that even if the actions that the electronic device 101 can perform are not mentioned in this invention, as long as they are common actions that can be performed by a server device that provides e-commerce services, the application of the technical concepts of the present invention by reference to such actions is not excluded from the scope of the present invention.

The electronic device 101 described above can be implemented by more than one computing device. For example, all functions of the electronic device 101 can be implemented in a single computing device. In another example, the first function of the electronic device 101 can be implemented in a first computing device, and the second function can be implemented in a second computing device. As another example, multiple computing devices can be used, each of which implements all functions or specific functions of the electronic device 101. The computing device described above can be a desktop computer, a laptop computer, an application server, a proxy server, or a cloud server, but is not limited to these. Any type of device with computing functions can be a computing device.

User terminal 102 may be a device used by users to access e-commerce services. User terminal 102 may be implemented as a terminal that transmits and receives various types of information with electronic device 101 via a network. For example, user terminal 102 may be a computer, a laptop, a portable communication terminal (such as a smartphone), a portable multimedia device, a wearable device, or an HMD (head-mounted display). However, the types of user terminal 102 are not limited to these. User terminal 102 may be any device that includes an input/output interface for user input and output of information and can communicate with electronic device 101 or other devices via a network.

User terminal 102 can provide information received from electronic device 101 to the user and can also receive input from the user and transmit it to electronic device 101. Specifically, user terminal 102 can receive input from the user indicating the call-up of various web pages and, in response to the received input, generate commands indicating the call-up of various web pages. User terminal 102 can transmit the commands indicating the call-up of various web pages to electronic device 101. Input received from the user can include various forms of input, such as clicking with a mouse, touching with a touchpad or touchscreen, voice recognition, or other electronic input. User terminal 102 can receive various web pages from electronic device 101 and output the received web pages.

User terminal 102 can be a device used by users to utilize e-commerce services. User terminal 102 can be implemented as a terminal that transmits and receives various types of information with electronic device 101 via a network. For example, user terminal 102 can be any of a computer, a laptop, a portable communication terminal (such as a smartphone), a portable multimedia device, a wearable device, or an HMD. However, the type of user terminal 102 is not limited to this. User terminal 102 can be any device that includes an input/output interface for user input and output of information and can communicate with electronic device 101 or other devices via a network. In the present invention, user input may refer to user terminal 102 receiving input from the user, and user terminal 102 transmitting information related to the received input, or other information generated based on the received input, to electronic device 101. Furthermore, electronic device 101 providing information to the user may refer to electronic device 101 providing information to user terminal 102, and user terminal 102 displaying the information received from electronic device 101, or other information generated based on the information, to the user.

The network can connect the electronic device 101 to the user terminal 102 or other external devices. For example, the network can provide a connection path so that the user terminal 102 can connect to the electronic device 101 and send and receive packet data with the electronic device 101. The network can be implemented as a local area network (LAN), a wide area network (WAN), a mobile radio communication network (MRCN), a Wibro (Wireless Broadband Internet), or any other type of wired or wireless network.

In one embodiment, the electronic device 101 and the user terminal 102 may operate as a single device. The user terminal 102 may be included in the electronic device 101 as a whole or a portion of the components of the electronic device 101. In this case, for example, the various information sent and received between the electronic device 101 and the user terminal 102 via a network may be information sent and received between components within the single device.

FIG2 is a block diagram of an electronic device according to an embodiment of the present invention. Electronic device 200 can process information related to e-commerce services. In one embodiment, electronic device 200 may include one or more processors 210, one or more memories 220, and a communication interface 230 as components. In one embodiment, at least one of the components of electronic device 200 may be omitted, or other components may be added to electronic device 200. In one embodiment, a portion of the components may be additionally or alternatively integrated to achieve the desired effect, or the device may be implemented as a single or multiple components. In the present invention, one or more processors 210 may be referred to as processor 210. Unless otherwise specified, the processor 210 may refer to one or more processors. In the present invention, one or more memories 220 may be referred to as memory 220. Unless otherwise specified, the memory 220 may refer to one or more memories. In one embodiment, at least some of the internal/external components of the electronic device 200 may be interconnected and transmit and receive information (data, signals, etc.) via a bus, GPIO (General Purpose Input/Output), SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface), or MIPI (Mobile Industry Processor Interface).

The processor 210 can drive software (e.g., commands, programs, etc.) to control at least one component of the electronic device 200 connected to the processor 210. Furthermore, the processor 210 can perform various operations related to the present invention, such as calculations, processing, data generation, and processing. Furthermore, the processor 210 can load data from the memory 220 or store data in the memory 220. In one embodiment, the processor 210 can control the communication interface 230 to request various information from the user terminal 102 and receive various information from the user terminal 102.

The processor 210 may generate a page related to the e-commerce service and provide information related to the generated page to the user's user terminal. For example, the page provided by the processor 210 may include the home page that first appears when the user connects to the e-commerce service. In one embodiment, the first page may include a shopping cart page or an item details page.

Memory 220 can store various information (data). Information stored in memory 220 is information obtained, processed, or used by at least one component of electronic device 200, and may include software (e.g., commands, programs, etc.). Memory 220 may include volatile and/or non-volatile memory. In the present invention, commands and programs refer to software stored in memory 220, and may include: an operating system for controlling the resources of electronic device 200, applications, and/or middleware that provides various functions to applications so that applications can utilize the resources of electronic device 200. In one embodiment, memory 220 can store commands that, when executed by processor 210, cause processor 210 to perform operations. Memory 220 can also store at least a portion of information received from a database via communication interface 230 and/or information sent to a database via communication interface 230. Specifically, memory 220 can store information related to e-commerce services or order delivery services, as well as commands executed by processor 210.

The communication interface 230 can implement wireless or wired communication between the electronic device 200 and a database or other external electronic devices. For example, the communication interface 230 may implement eMBB (enhanced Mobile Broadband), URLLC (Ultra Reliable Low-Latency Communications), MMTC (Massive Machine Type Communications), LTE (Long-Term Evolution), LTE-A (LTE Advance), NR (New Radio), UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications System), GSM (Global System for Mobile communications), CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access), WCDMA (Wideband CDMA), WiBro (Wireless Broadband), WiFi (Wireless Fidelity), Bluetooth, NFC (Near Field Communication interface 230 can implement wireless communication via methods such as near-field communication (NFC), GPS (Global Positioning System), or GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System). For example, communication interface 230 can implement wired communication via methods such as USB (Universal Serial Bus), HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface), RS-232 (Recommended Standard-232), or POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service). In one embodiment, electronic device 200 can also be integrated with other devices. In this case, communication interface 230 of electronic device 200 can function as a connection circuit or interface connecting electronic device 200 to the corresponding other device.

Below, the operations described in Figures 3 to 10b as being performed by the electronic device can be understood as being performed by the processor 210 of the electronic device 200 described in Figure 2.

Figure 3 is a flowchart showing the operation of a method according to one embodiment of the present invention.

The method disclosed in Figure 3 can be understood as a series of actions involving receiving an order request from an e-commerce user, providing a checkout page, and then displaying the first user interface. The actions illustrated in Figure 3 are described in detail below.

The electronic device 101 may receive an order request (S310).

In one embodiment, electronic device 101 may receive an order request for an item from user terminal 102. Electronic device 101 may receive the order request for the item from a first page associated with the order request. Here, the item being the subject of the order request may also be understood as a collection of one or more items. The collection of items may include one or more items that a user wishes to order. A user may select one or more items to order, and electronic device 101 may store information related to the selected one or more items. For example, a user may add one or more items to a shopping cart, and in response to the addition action, electronic device 101 may store a corresponding shopping cart item list. Page 1 may be, for example, a shopping cart page. A user may select at least a portion of one or more items included in a shopping cart item list on a shopping cart page provided by electronic device 101. For example, user terminal 102 may transmit input related to a set of items input based on the user's selections in the shopping cart item list to electronic device 101. In one embodiment, the first page may be an item detail page. For example, user terminal 102 may request an order for the items corresponding to the item detail page on the item detail page. Electronic device 101 may receive an order request for the set of items input on the first page (e.g., a shopping cart page or an item detail page) from user terminal 102.

The electronic device 101 may provide a settlement page (S320).

In one embodiment, electronic device 101 may provide a checkout page to user terminal 102 in response to an order request. In one embodiment, the checkout page may display order-related information. In one embodiment, the order-related information may include at least a portion of the settlement schedule information and delivery schedule information corresponding to the order request. In one embodiment, the settlement schedule information may include various information regarding the settlement to be performed in response to the order request. The settlement reservation information may include information on the price (fee) that the user wants to settle for the order request, and information on the user's settlement method. For example, the settlement reservation information may include price information of one or more items corresponding to the order request, information related to the total amount (total amount) of the items, the discount amount applicable to the order request (for example, the discount amount or discount rate), the discount amount applicable to each item included in the order request, the settlement method, and the settlement method. In one embodiment, the delivery reservation information may include information on the price of the items corresponding to the order request. In one embodiment, the delivery schedule information may include information related to a delivery type. The delivery type may include more than one type. Based on the item information, the electronic device 101 may determine the delivery type applicable to the item. In addition, in the case of "Extraordinary Delivery", the delivery schedule can be set to a delivery type within the second time from the time the order is completed. In this case, the second time can be, for example, the time from the time the order is completed to before 6:00 am the next day. The second time may sometimes be shorter than the first time. The descriptions regarding the first and second times are merely examples, and other embodiments are possible. Alternatively, the "expedited delivery" type may simply mean faster delivery than standard delivery without the "expedited delivery" type, and the "faster delivery" type may mean faster delivery than the "expedited delivery" type. In one embodiment, the scheduled delivery information may include information on the scheduled delivery dates set for one or more items included in the order request. The scheduled delivery date may be determined based on the order completion time and the delivery type.

The electronic device 101 can confirm whether the user has signed up for membership (S330).

In one embodiment, the electronic device 101 may confirm whether a user has joined the membership based on the user information corresponding to the user terminal 102 that sent the order request. Based on the user identification information corresponding to the user terminal 102, the electronic device 101 may confirm whether the user identification information belongs to a member in the membership member directory. In one embodiment, the order request may include information related to the user placing the order. The electronic device 101 may confirm the user information based on the order request and, based on the confirmed user information, confirm whether the user has joined the membership.

In response to confirming that the user has not signed up for membership, the electronic device 101 may perform action S340.

The electronic device 101 may determine the discount to be applied to the order (S340).

"Benefits" refer to offers that can be applied to orders placed by a user who has signed up for membership. Offers offered to users who have signed up for membership may include: reward offers for joining the membership, long-term offers for members who have signed up for membership, and conditional offers for members who have signed up for membership. Hereinafter, offers offered to users who have signed up for membership are referred to as "Benefits."

In one embodiment, the offer may include a discount offer and a delivery offer.
