Abstract

This disclosure provides a digital broadcasting system. The digital broadcasting system includes a plurality of audio and video devices and an audio-visual streaming platform. Each of audio and video devices is connected to the audio-visual streaming platform in network. Each of audio and video devices is used by an audience. The audio and video device is used to capture at least one real-time sound and video signal from the audience, and comprises a song selection interface, a real-time audio-visual updating unit, a microphone, an accompaniment music mixing unit and a real-time message issuing unit. The audio-visual streaming platform comprises a song database, a song selection interface, a singer selection interface, an audio and video integrating and outputting module, and a real-time message management system. The audio and video integrating and outputting module integrates the real-time sound and video signal of the audience, and the subtitle screen of the accompaniment song into a live audio and video streaming, and pushes the live audio and video streaming to each of the audio and video devices to play the live audio and video streaming of the audience singing in real time.

Description

Digital director system applied to video streaming platforms

The present invention relates to a digital directing system for use on a video streaming platform, and more particularly to a digital directing system that allows viewers to sing along live during a live television program.

With changing consumer habits, shopping is no longer limited to brick-and-mortar stores; consumers can now place orders through television. Without leaving their homes, consumers can watch TV programs and learn about product features, prices, and ordering methods, allowing them to decide whether to place an order by phone.

Currently, some live shopping programs on television, such as those focusing on pharmaceuticals or daily necessities, include live singing sessions during the broadcast to bridge the gap between the host and the audience. After business hours, the host can invite the audience to request songs online and sing along. Those who want to sing along can call in and sing along to the melody played on the show using their microphones.

In the past, live singing on television programs required audience members to sing through a phone or microphone, which was extremely inconvenient and produced poor sound quality. Furthermore, while the audience member was singing, the rest of the audience could only listen to the live broadcast of the singing audience member. Consequently, live singing on television programs in the past was not very entertaining, and audience interaction was extremely low.

One purpose of the present invention is to provide a digital broadcasting system for use on a video streaming platform, comprising a plurality of video devices and a video streaming platform. Each video device is connected to the video streaming platform via a network and is used by a viewer. The video devices include a sound capture unit, an image capture unit, a video playback unit, a real-time video upload unit, a microphone, a karaoke music mixing unit, and a song request interface. The video streaming platform is controlled by a television program host and is used to produce and broadcast the video streaming content of the television program. It includes a song database, a song request management module, a singer selection interface, and a video integration and output module. The host of a TV program on a video streaming platform uses a singer selection interface to designate an audience member for a live singing session. Before singing, the audience member can pre-select a song from a song library using the song request interface on the audio/video device. As the audience member sings through their microphone, the audio/video device uses a sound capture unit and an image capture unit to capture at least one real-time audio signal and at least one real-time audience member image, respectively, and transmits the real-time audio signal and image to the video streaming platform. The real-time audio signal is a mix of the audience member's microphone voice and the accompanying music. The video streaming platform's video integration and output module then combines the selected audience's real-time audio and video signals, along with the music and subtitles of the selected karaoke song, into a live video stream. This live stream is then pushed to each video device. Other online viewers, receiving the live stream through their video devices, can enjoy the selected audience's live singing performance within the karaoke song's video scene.

Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a digital directing system for use on a video streaming platform, wherein the video device further includes an instant messaging unit, and the video streaming platform further includes an instant messaging system. When online viewers wish to cheer or encourage a live singer, they can input at least one instant messaging (IM) related to the live performance via the IM unit of the video device and transmit the message to the video streaming platform. Upon receiving the IM, the IM system of the video streaming platform pushes the message to each video device, allowing the message to be displayed on the live video stream. This allows other viewers to encourage the singing audience through instant messages like sending flowers, giving compliments, or cheering them on, increasing audience interaction and ultimately enhancing the entertainment value of TV shopping.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a digital directing system for use on a video streaming platform, which provides a real-time video streaming player program. The real-time video streaming player program can be installed in an audio-visual device or a mobile communication device. Users of the audio-visual device or mobile communication device can also use the real-time video streaming player program to watch live video streaming. When the user of the audio-visual device or mobile communication device finds that the singer who is singing is his family member, friend or idol, he can use instant messaging software such as Line, FB message, WhatsApp or WeChat to send an instant sharing message to the audio-visual device or mobile communication device used by family, friends or fans, so as to notify family, friends or fans through the instant sharing message to watch the live performance of his family member, friend or idol. Later, while watching their family, friends, or idols' live performances online, family, friends, or fans can send out encouragement and support via the instant messaging system, such as "like," "flowers," or "TikTok" posts, directly onto the live video stream. This allows viewers to enjoy the singing while watching TV, while also receiving encouraging messages from other viewers, allowing them to show their care for their family or friends and fostering interpersonal connections.

To achieve the above-mentioned objectives, the present invention provides a digital broadcasting system for use on a video streaming platform, comprising: a plurality of audio-visual devices, each of which is used by a viewer and includes: a processor; a microphone; a karaoke music mixing unit; and a sound capture unit for capturing at least one real-time sound signal, wherein the real-time sound signal is a mix of the viewer's voice produced by the microphone and the music of a karaoke song. a video playback unit for playing a live video stream; a first network transmission interface for receiving the live video stream via the network; and a real-time video upload unit, wherein the processor is connected to the microphone, the karaoke music mixing unit, the sound capture unit, the video playback unit, the first network transmission interface and the real-time video upload unit; and a video streaming platform, comprising: a main controller; a song database storing a plurality of karaoke songs; a song request unit. A management module is used to select a karaoke song from the song database; a singer selection interface is used to select an audience member of one of the audio and video devices to sing in real time; a second network transmission interface is used, each audio and video device is connected to the second network transmission interface of the audio and video streaming platform through the first network transmission interface, and the real-time audio and video uploading unit of the audio and video device uses the first network transmission interface to upload real-time sound signals to the audio and video streaming platform, and the second network transmission interface receives the audio and video signals. The main controller is connected to the song database, the song request management module, the singer selection interface, the second network transmission interface, and the audio and video integration and output module.

In one embodiment of the present invention, the video streaming platform includes a member management database connected to a main controller and storing a photo of the audience member for each audio-visual device. The singer selection interface retrieves the audience member's photo from the member management database based on the selected audience member. The video integration and output module integrates the real-time audio signal of the selected audience member, the corresponding audience member photo, and the music and subtitles of the accompanying song selected by the song request management module into a live video stream. The audience photo will serve as a background image during the live video stream.

In one embodiment of the present invention, an audio-visual device includes an image capture unit connected to a processor. The image capture unit is configured to capture a real-time audience image of the audio-visual device. The real-time audience image is transmitted to an audio-visual streaming platform via a first network transmission interface and a second network transmission interface. The audio-visual integration and output module of the audio-visual streaming platform integrates the real-time audio signals and real-time audience images of the audience singing selected by the singer selection interface with the music and subtitles of the accompanying song selected by the song request management module into a live audio-visual stream, and then pushes the live audio-visual stream to each audio-visual device.

In one embodiment of the present invention, a video device includes an instant message publishing unit that allows viewers of the video device to input an instant message. The message is then transmitted to a video streaming platform via a first network transmission interface and a second network transmission interface. The video streaming platform includes an instant message announcement system. When the video streaming platform receives an instant message from at least one video device, the instant message announcement system pushes the instant message sent by the viewer of the video device to each video device, thereby announcing the instant message on the screen of the live video stream played by each video device.

In one embodiment of the present invention, the audio-visual device includes a song request interface. The song number input unit allows viewers to input a song number. The audio-visual device transmits the song number to a second network transmission interface of the audio-visual streaming platform via a first network transmission interface. The audio-visual streaming platform's singer selection interface includes a list of potential singers. When the audio-visual streaming platform receives the song number transmitted by the viewer via the audio-visual device, it adds the viewer who sent the song number to the list of potential singers. The singer selection interface then selects a singer from the list of potential singers for real-time singing.

In one embodiment of the present invention, the singer selection interface of the video streaming platform arranges the list of singers in order according to the order of the song numbers received from each viewer.

In one embodiment of the present invention, an audio-visual device includes a singing request component. A viewer of the audio-visual device can use the singing request component to send a singing request to a video streaming platform. The video streaming platform's singer selection interface includes a list of potential singers. When the video streaming platform receives a singing request from a viewer via the audio-visual device, the viewer who sent the singing request is added to the list of potential singers. The administrator of the video streaming platform then uses the singer selection interface to select a singer from the list of potential singers for real-time singing, or the system automatically selects a singer based on the order of the singers in the list of potential singers.

In one embodiment of the present invention, the song request interface is a button on a remote control of the audio-visual device, a button on a keyboard, or an operation button on a graphical user interface.

In one embodiment of the present invention, a video streaming platform stores a real-time video streaming program. A video device or a mobile communication device connects to the video streaming platform and downloads the real-time video streaming program from the video streaming platform. The video device or mobile communication device then uses the real-time video streaming program to watch the live video stream. Viewers of the video device or mobile communication device then use instant messaging software to send an instant sharing message to other video devices or mobile communication devices, thereby notifying other viewers of the video device or mobile communication device via the instant sharing message to watch the live video stream online using the real-time video streaming program.

In one embodiment of the present invention, a QR code is displayed on the live video stream. When viewers of a video device scan the QR code on the live video stream screen with a mobile communication device, they obtain the live video stream's network link and then share the live video stream's network link with others via an instant messaging app.

Please refer to Figure 1, which shows the system architecture of an embodiment of the digital broadcasting system of the present invention applied to a video streaming platform. As shown in Figure 1, the digital broadcasting system 100 of the present invention is applied to the sales of goods (such as pharmaceuticals or other supplies) in a TV shopping program and live broadcasts of live singing. It includes a plurality of video devices 10 and a video streaming platform 20. Each video device 10 is connected to the video streaming platform 20 via a wired or wireless network.

Each audio-visual device 10 is used by a viewer and can be an audio-visual device capable of playing audio and video streams, such as a smart TV, set-top box, tablet, personal computer, laptop, mobile phone, or mobile communication device. Audio-visual device 10 includes a processor 11, a sound capture unit 12, an audio and video playback unit 13, a first network transmission interface 14, a microphone 15, and a karaoke music mixing unit 16. Processor 11 is connected to sound capture unit 12, audio and video playback unit 13, first network transmission interface 14, microphone 15, and karaoke music mixing unit 16. Sound capture unit 12 can also be a device with a radio function. The audio and video playback unit 13 can also be a device capable of playing sound and images, such as a speaker, a display, or a combination of the two. The first network transmission interface 14 is a transmission interface for connecting to a network via a wired or wireless connection.

The video streaming platform 20 is controlled by a television program host or manager and is used to produce and broadcast the program's video streaming content. It includes a main controller 21, a song database 22, a song request management module 23, a singer selection interface 24, a second network transmission interface 25, an audio and video integration and output module 26, and a software database 29. The main controller 21 is connected to the song database 22, the song request management module 23, the singer selection interface 24, the second network transmission interface 25, the audio and video integration and output module 26, and the software database 29. The song database 22 stores a plurality of karaoke songs 221, each of which includes subtitle lyrics and a musical melody. The song request management module 23 is used to manage the accompanying songs 221 in the song database 22 and can select accompanying songs 221 from the song database 22. The singer selection interface 24 includes a list of singers to be performed 241. The host of the video streaming platform 20 selects one of the singers to be performed from the list of singers to be performed 241 through the singer selection interface 24 to perform a live performance. Alternatively, the singer selection interface 24 selects one of the singers to be performed based on the order of the singers to be performed in the list of singers to be performed 241 or the membership level of the singers to be performed. The song request management module 23 and the singer selection interface 24 can also be a software graphical operating interface or physical buttons that cooperate with display screen operations. The second network transmission interface 25 is a transmission interface that is connected to the network in a wired or wireless manner. Each video device 10 is connected to the video streaming platform 20 via a first network transmission interface 14 and a second network transmission interface 25. The video integration and output module 26 can also generate a live video stream 261 and push this live video stream 261 to each video device 10 via the network. Furthermore, in one embodiment of the present invention, the video device 10 can connect to an online store, such as the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store, to download a real-time video streaming program 18 and install this program 18 on the video device 10. The video device 10 uses the real-time video streaming program 18 to broadcast the video stream 261 live. Alternatively, in another embodiment of the present invention, the software database 29 stores a real-time video streaming program 18. Users can connect to the video streaming platform 20 via the video device 10 to download the real-time video streaming player 18 from the software database 29.

Viewers watch a television shopping program produced and broadcast by a video streaming platform 20 through their corresponding audio-visual device 10. In one embodiment of the present invention, if a viewer wishes to sing during the live singing segment while watching the television shopping program, they can operate a singing request component 181 of the audio-visual device 10 to generate a singing request command 1811. This singing request command 1811 is transmitted to the video streaming platform 20. Upon receiving the singing request command 1811, the video streaming platform 20 uses the singer selection interface 24 to add the viewer who issued the singing request command 1811 to a list of potential singers 241. The host or administrator of the video streaming platform 20 then uses the singer selection interface 24 to select a singer from the list of potential singers 241 for the live singing session. In one embodiment of the present invention, the song request component 181 may also be a button on a remote control of the audio-visual device 10, a button on a keyboard, or an operation button on a graphical user interface of a real-time audio-visual streaming player 18.

Furthermore, the video streaming platform 20 includes a member management database 27 connected to the main controller 21. When a viewer connects to the video streaming platform 20 for the first time via their video device 10, they must register as a member, registering their basic information and the unique device code of their video device 10 in the member management database 27. Furthermore, the packet of the song request command 1811 issued by the viewer via their video device 10 contains the unique device code of their video device 10. When the video streaming platform 20 receives the singing request 1811 packet, it extracts the unique device code of the video device 10 from the singing request 1811 packet. It then uses the unique device code of the video device 10 to identify the viewer from the member management database 27 and add the viewer to the list of singers waiting to sing 241.

In one embodiment of the present invention, before singing, audience members, acting as singers, can transmit the song they wish to sing to the video streaming platform 20 via the audio/video device 10 in the form of a voice request. The audio capture unit 12 captures the audience's voice as they speak the requested song. Upon hearing the requested song, the host of the video streaming platform 20 assists in making song requests based on the requested song.

Next, when one of the audience members is selected as a live singer, they can begin singing. They sing along to the accompanying music of the song 221 using a microphone 15. While singing, the audio capture unit 12 of the audio-visual device 10 simultaneously captures at least one real-time audio signal 121. This real-time audio signal 121 is the result of mixing the microphone 15 sound with the accompanying music of the song 221 by the music mixing unit 16. The audio-visual device 10 transmits this real-time audio signal 121 to the video streaming platform 20 via the first network transmission interface 14. After receiving the real-time audio signal 121 via the second network transmission interface 25, the video streaming platform 20 uses the audio and video integration and output module 26 to integrate the real-time audio signal 121 of the selected audience member with the music and subtitles of the backing song 221 selected by the song request management module 23 into a live video stream 261. The live video stream 261 is then broadcast to each audio and video device 10, allowing other online viewers to receive the live video stream 261 through the audio and video device 10 and enjoy the selected audience member's real-time singing performance within the audio and video scene of the backing song 221.

Furthermore, when viewers of the audio-visual device 10 register with the main controller 21, they may also register at least one viewer photo 271, such as a personal photo. The audio-visual streaming platform 20 stores the viewer photo 271 in the member management database 27. When a selected viewer wishes to sing, the singer selection interface 24 retrieves the viewer photo 271 from the member management database 27 based on the selected viewer. The audio-visual integration and output module 26 then integrates the selected viewer's real-time audio signal 121, the viewer photo 271, and the subtitles of the accompanying song 221 selected by the song request management module 23 into a live audio-visual stream 261, and transmits the integrated live audio-visual stream 261 to each audio-visual device. The audience photo 271 will then serve as the background for the live video stream 261 broadcast by the video device 10. Thus, the audience photo 271 displayed on the background of the video stream 261 allows other online viewers to clearly see the appearance of the singing audience.

Please refer to Figure 2, which shows the system architecture of another embodiment of the digital directing system of the present invention applied to a video streaming platform. While the digital directing system 100 of the embodiment of Figure 1 used static audience photos 271 as the background image for the video stream 261, the digital directing system 101 of this embodiment uses dynamic audience images as the background image for the video stream 261. As shown in Figure 2, in this embodiment of the video streaming platform system 101, the video device 10 further includes an image capture unit 17 connected to the processor 11. During the audience singing, the video capture unit 17 of the audio-visual device 10 synchronously captures at least one real-time audience video 171 of the audience singing and transmits this real-time audience video 171 to the audio-visual streaming platform 20 via the first network transmission interface 14. After receiving the real-time audience video 171 via the second network transmission interface 25, the audio-visual streaming platform 20 uses the audio-visual integration and output module 26 to combine the real-time audio signal 121 of the selected audience member, the recorded real-time audience video 171, and the subtitles and music of the accompanying song 221 selected by the song request management module 23 into a live audio-visual stream 261. This live audio-visual stream 261 is then broadcast to each audio-visual device 10. In this way, other online viewers receive the live video stream 261 through the audio-visual device 10 and enjoy the dynamic audio-visual singing performance of the selected viewer in the audio-visual scene of the accompanying song 221.

In addition, the audio-visual device 10 further includes a real-time audio and video upload unit 183. After the audio capture unit 12 and/or the image capture unit 17 capture the audience's real-time audio signal 121 and/or real-time audience image 171, the real-time audio and video upload unit 183 transmits the real-time audio signal 121 and/or real-time audience image 171 to the audio-visual streaming platform 20 via the first network transmission interface 14, allowing the audio-visual streaming platform 20 to produce and broadcast the audio-visual stream 261 of the audience singing. In the present invention, the real-time audio and video upload unit 183 can also be a processing circuit for uploading audio and video signals connected to the processor 11, or it can be audio and video upload software embedded in the real-time audio and video streaming player 18.

Please refer to Figure 3, which shows a system architecture diagram of another embodiment of the digital broadcasting system of the present invention applied to a video streaming platform. In this embodiment of the digital broadcasting system 102, the video device 10 further includes a song request interface 185. When a viewer is watching a TV shopping program on the video device 10 and wishes to sing along during the live singing segment, they enter a song number 1851 through the song request interface 185 of the video device 10. The video device 10 transmits the song number 1851 to the second network transmission interface 25 of the video streaming platform 20 via the first network transmission interface 14. The song request interface 185 can also be a button on a remote control of the audio/video device 10, a button on a keyboard, or an operation button in a graphical user interface of the real-time video streaming player 18. After the video streaming platform 20 receives the song number 1851, the song request management module 23 pre-selects a song for the viewer based on the song number 1851 entered by the viewer. The singer selection interface 24 then places the viewer who sent the song number 1851 on the singer list 241. The singer selection interface 24 of the video streaming platform 20 then sorts the singer list 241 based on the order of the song numbers 1851 received from each viewer and determines the order of the singers based on the order of the singers in the singer list 241. Furthermore, the packet containing song number 1851 transmitted by the audio-visual device 10 may also contain the unique device code of the audio-visual device 10. When the audio-visual streaming platform 20 receives the packet containing song number 1851, it can extract the unique device code of the audio-visual device 10 from the packet containing song number 1851. Using the unique device code of the audio-visual device 10, the platform can identify the viewer from the member management database 27 and add the viewer to the list of singers waiting to perform 241.

Furthermore, referring to Figures 1, 2, and 3, in each embodiment of the digital directing system 100/101/102, the real-time video streaming player 18 further includes an instant message publishing unit 187. The instant message publishing unit 187 is a message bar comprised of a graphical user interface. After watching the live video stream 261, other online viewers can enter at least one instant message 1871 in the instant message publishing unit 187 to cheer on or encourage the current singing audience. The instant message 1871 is then transmitted to the video streaming platform 20 via the first network transmission interface 14. In the present invention, the instant message 1871 may also be a combination of text, graphics, and/or symbols. Furthermore, the video streaming platform 20 includes an instant message announcement system 28. When the instant message announcement system 28 of the video streaming platform 20 receives an instant message 1871 from at least one video device 10, it pushes the instant message 1871 to each video device 10, thereby announcing the instant message 1871 on the live video stream 261. This allows viewers to encourage the singing through instant messages 1871, such as sending flowers, giving compliments, or cheering on the performers, thereby increasing audience interaction and enhancing the entertainment value of television shopping.

Furthermore, when a viewer watches a live video stream 261 broadcasted by a video device 10 and the singer performing is a family member, friend, or idol, they can use an instant messaging app 19 to send an instant sharing message 191 to a mobile communication device 30 used by other viewers. This instant messaging app 19 then notifies their family, friends, or fans to access the video streaming platform 20 using their video device 10 or mobile communication device 30 to watch the live video stream 261 of their family member, friend, or idol performing. Later, while watching their family, friends, or idols' live performances online, family, friends, or fans can cheer them on or encourage them by posting instant messages 1871, such as likes, flowers, or Douyin posts, on the live video stream via the instant messaging system 28. This allows viewers to enjoy the singing while watching TV and, through instant messaging 1871, show their care for their family or friends, thereby fostering interpersonal interactions.

Alternatively, a QR code 262 may be displayed on the live video stream 261. When a viewer watches the live video stream 261 broadcasted by the video device 10 and the singer performing is a family member, friend, or idol, they scan the QR code 262 using their mobile device 30 to obtain a network link 2611 to the live video stream 261. The mobile device 30 then shares the network link 2611 to family, friends, or fans using instant messaging software 19, such as Line, Facebook message, WeChat, or WhatsApp. Afterwards, family, friends, or fans receive a network link 2611 and click on it using the real-time video streaming app 18 on their mobile communication device 30 or video device 10 to watch the live video stream 261 of their family, friend, or idol's performance. Furthermore, while watching the live broadcast, family, friends, or fans can use the notification function provided by the video streaming platform 20 to push instant messages 1871, such as likes, flowers, or social media posts, to the live video stream screen. This allows them to encourage their family, friend, or idol during the performance via instant messages 1871, thereby increasing interaction among family, friends, or fans.
