Description

Input devices and retractable connectors

The present invention relates to a connection device, in particular to a telescopic connection device.

With the advancement of technology, tablet computers (such as smartphones or tablet computers) have become a common electronic device for modern people. In order to protect the tablet computers or further expand their functions, users often connect the tablet computers to expansion devices (such as protective cases or keyboards).

Generally speaking, a flexible sheet is often used as a connecting element between a tablet computer and an expansion device, so that the tablet computer can be opened or closed by rotating the flexible sheet relative to the expansion device. However, since the length of the flexible sheet is fixed, the flexible sheet is obviously exposed whether the tablet computer and the expansion device are in an opened or closed state. For example, when the tablet computer and the expansion device are in a closed state, the flexible sheet will bend into a U shape and protrude from one side of the expansion device, which affects the overall aesthetics and the flexible sheet is easily damaged by friction or pulling by foreign objects.

In view of the above, in one embodiment, a telescopic connection device is provided for assembling electronic devices, and the telescopic connection device includes a substrate, a movable part, a flexible sheet, a device connector, and a plurality of elastic parts. The movable part is disposed on the substrate, and the movable part can slide along a movable direction relative to the substrate. The flexible sheet has a first side and a second side opposite to each other, and the first side is fixed to the movable part. The device connector is connected to the second side of the flexible sheet. A plurality of elastic parts are located between the movable part and the substrate and are spaced apart from each other, and each elastic part generates an elastic pulling force toward the substrate on the movable part.

In another embodiment, an input device is provided for assembling an electronic device. The input device includes the telescopic connection device and an input unit. The input unit is connected to a substrate of the telescopic connection device.

In summary, the flexible sheet of the telescopic connection device of the embodiment of the present invention is connected to the base plate through movable parts and multiple elastic parts, so that the flexible sheet can be telescopically moved relative to the base plate. Thus, when the telescopic connection device is assembled to the electronic device and its expansion device, no matter the electronic device and the expansion device are in an unfolded state, a closed state or other use states, the length of the flexible sheet exposed from the electronic device and the expansion device can be greatly shortened, thereby achieving the effects of increasing beauty and preventing the flexible sheet from being easily damaged.

As shown in FIG. 2 to FIG. 6, in the first embodiment, the telescopic connection device 1 includes a base plate 10, a movable member 20, a flexible sheet 30, a device connector 40, and a plurality of elastic members 50.

As shown in FIGS. 1 to 6 , the substrate 10 may be a long strip-shaped plate, and the telescopic connection device 1 may be connected to the expansion device 3 to form an input device 5 (as shown in FIG. 1 ), wherein the substrate 10 may be used to be assembled to the expansion device 3, for example, the substrate 10 may be connected to the input unit 4 of the expansion device 3, but this is not limited. In some embodiments, the substrate 10 may also be a part of the expansion device 3, for example, the substrate 10 may be a plate of a protective cover, or the substrate 10 may also be a part of the outer shell of the expansion device 3.

As shown in FIGS. 2 to 6 , the movable member 20 is a long bar or plate and is disposed on the substrate 10, and the movable member 20 can slide along a moving direction S (as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6 ) relative to the substrate 10. In this embodiment, the moving direction S is perpendicular to the extending direction of the substrate 10 and the extending direction of the movable member 20, but this is not limited.

As shown in FIGS. 2 to 6 , in this embodiment, the substrate 10 has a concave space 14, and the movable member 20 is disposed in the concave space 14 of the substrate 10. In addition, the substrate 10 has at least one first guide member 11, which is a guide rib, and there are multiple first guide members 11 that are spaced apart from each other. The movable member 20 has a second guide member 22, which is a guide groove, and the number and position of the second guide members 22 correspond to the number and position of the first guide members 11. The first guide members 11 and the second guide members 22 extend along the above-mentioned moving direction S, and each second guide member 22 is slidably connected to each first guide member 11, so that the movable member 20 can be guided by the first guide member 11 and the second guide member 22 and is more stable in the process of sliding relative to the substrate 10, and is not prone to shaking or displacement. However, the above embodiment is only an example. In some embodiments, the structures of the first guide member 11 and the second guide member 22 can also be interchanged with each other, for example, the first guide member 11 can be a guide groove, and the second guide member 22 can be a guide rib.

As shown in FIGS. 2 to 6 , the flexible sheet 30 is made of a flexible material, such as leather, silicone or plastic, so that the flexible sheet 30 can bend freely when subjected to force. The flexible sheet 30 has a first side 31 and a second side 32 opposite to each other, and the first side 31 is fixed to the movable member 20, so that a local area of the flexible sheet 30 close to the first side 31 is located in or on the substrate 10, and because the flexible sheet 30 is connected to the movable member 20, the flexible sheet 30 can slide relative to the substrate 10 along the above-mentioned moving direction S when subjected to force, so as to move away from or close to the substrate 10. In some embodiments, the first side 31 of the flexible sheet 30 may be connected and fixed to the movable member 20 by locking, snapping or bonding, but this is not limiting.

As shown in FIG. 2 and FIG. 3 , in this embodiment, the telescopic connection device 1 may include a cover 18, which is fixed on the substrate 10, so that a containing space is formed between the cover 18 and the substrate 10, and the movable member 20 and the first side 31 of the flexible sheet 30 may be disposed in the containing space between the cover 18 and the substrate 10, so that the first side 31 of the flexible sheet 30 is maintained between the cover 18 and the substrate 10. In some embodiments, the cover 18 may also be a part of the expansion device 3, for example, the cover 18 may be a partial outer shell of the expansion device 3.

As shown in FIGS. 2 to 6 , the device connector 40 is connected to the second side 32 of the flexible sheet 30, and the device connector 40 is used to assemble the electronic device 2. In some embodiments, the device connector 40 may be a rod or a plate, and the electronic device 2 and the device connector 40 may be connected to each other by snapping, embedding, or magnetic attraction.

As shown in FIGS. 2 to 6 , in this embodiment, the device connector 40 is a rod, and the local area of the flexible sheet 30 near the second side 32 is fixed to the outside of the device connector 40 to increase the aesthetics. The device connector 40 may be provided with a magnetic element so that the electronic device 2 can be adsorbed on the device connector 40 and connected to the flexible sheet 30. In addition, in this embodiment, the device connector 40 has an electrical connector 41 (as shown in FIG. 2 ), for example, the electrical connector 41 can be a universal serial bus (USB) or a pogo pin connector (Pogo Pin), the electrical connector 41 can be electrically connected to the above-mentioned input unit 4, and the electrical connector 41 can be plugged into the electronic device 2, so that the connection relationship between the electronic device 2 and the device connector 40 is more stable, and the electronic device 2 can also be electrically connected to the input unit 4 through the electrical connector 41, so that the input unit 4 can be used to control the electronic device 2 to input information. However, the above embodiment is only an example, and in some embodiments, the electronic device 2 and the input unit 4 can also be connected through wireless communication, so that the device connector 40 can omit the setting of the electrical connector 41.

As shown in FIGS. 2 to 6 , a plurality of elastic members 50 are disposed between the movable member 20 and the substrate 10 and are spaced apart from each other, wherein each elastic member 50 has the ability to elastically stretch, that is, each elastic member 50 can be deformed when subjected to an external force and can return to its original state after the external force is removed. In this embodiment, each elastic member 50 has a first end 51 and a second end 52, wherein the first end 51 is connected to the substrate 10, and the second end 52 is connected to the movable member 20. Thus, as shown in FIG. 5 and FIG. 6 , when the flexible sheet 30 is pulled and moves away from the substrate 10, the movable member 20 can drive each elastic member 50 to deform (as shown in FIG. 6 , each elastic member 50 is a tension spring and is stretched and deformed), so that each elastic member 50 generates an elastic pulling force on the movable member 20 toward the substrate 10. When the flexible sheet 30 is released and the external force is removed, the elastic pulling force can drive the flexible sheet 30 to move and retract toward the substrate 10, so that each elastic member 50 returns to its original state (as shown in FIG. 5 ).

FIG7 is a diagram of the telescopic connection device of the present invention in use. The telescopic connection device 1 of the present invention is designed by the above structure, so that when the telescopic connection device 1 is assembled with the electronic device 2 and the expansion device 3, no matter the electronic device 2 and the expansion device 3 are in the unfolded state, the closed state or other use states, the elastic force of each elastic member 50 can greatly shorten the length of the flexible sheet 30 exposed from the electronic device 2 and the expansion device 3, thereby achieving the effect of increasing the aesthetics and preventing the flexible sheet 30 from being easily damaged. For example, as shown in FIG. 1 , when the electronic device 2 and the expansion device 3 are in the unfolded state, most of the flexible sheet 30 can be retracted into the base plate 10 or the expansion device 3. Alternatively, when the electronic device 2 is unfolded in the expansion device 3, the user can apply force to pull the flexible sheet 30 out of the base plate 10 or the expansion device 3 to facilitate the rotation of the electronic device 2. Then, as shown in FIG. 7 , when the electronic device 2 and the expansion device 3 are in the closed state, each elastic member 50 can pull the excess portion of the flexible sheet 30 back into the base plate 10 or the expansion device 3, thereby greatly reducing the length of the flexible sheet 30 exposed from the base plate 10 or the expansion device 3.

As shown in FIGS. 2 to 6 , in this embodiment, each elastic member 50 is a tension spring, a first end 51 of each elastic member 50 is fixed to the base plate 10, a second end 52 of each elastic member 50 is fixed to the movable member 20, and an extending direction of each elastic member 50 is the same as the moving direction S of the movable member 20. Thus, when the flexible sheet 30 is pulled and each elastic member 50 generates an elastic tension, the direction of the elastic tension can be consistent with the moving direction S of the movable member 20, so as to avoid the elastic tension being dispersed or weakened to affect the stretching effect of the flexible sheet 30.

The structure of the first embodiment can be adjusted according to actual use requirements. The second to fifth embodiments below are based on the first embodiment, with some structures changed or further structures added, which are explained in conjunction with the following figures.

20a。FIG8 is a perspective view of the second embodiment of the telescopic connection device of the present invention, FIG9 is a partially enlarged exploded perspective view of the second embodiment of the telescopic connection device of the present invention, FIG10 is a partially enlarged plan view of the second embodiment of the telescopic connection device of the present invention, and FIG11 is a telescopic action view of the flexible sheet of the second embodiment of the telescopic connection device of the present invention. As shown in FIG8 to FIG11, in the second embodiment, the telescopic connection device 1a also includes a base plate 10a, a movable member 20a, a flexible sheet 30, a device connector 40 and a plurality of elastic members 50, the movable member 20a is disposed on the base plate 10a, and the movable member 20a can slide relative to the base plate 10a along the above-mentioned moving direction S. The first side 31 of the flexible sheet 30 is fixed to the movable member 20a. The device connector 40 is connected to the second side 32 of the flexible sheet 30. The first end 51 of each elastic member 50 is connected to the base plate 10a, and the second end 52 of each elastic member 50 is connected to the movable member 20a.

As shown in FIGS. 8 to 11 , the difference between the present embodiment and the first embodiment is at least that the base plate 10a has a first plate side 12 and a second plate side 13 opposite to each other, two first limiting grooves 15 and two second limiting grooves 16, wherein the two first limiting grooves 15 are respectively adjacent to the first plate side 12 and the second plate side 13, the two second limiting grooves 16 are between the two first limiting grooves 15, and the two second limiting grooves 16 are also respectively adjacent to the first plate side 12 and the second plate side 13. The movable member 20a has two first limiting plates 25 and two second limiting plates 26, the two first limiting plates 25 are respectively slidably disposed in the two first limiting grooves 15, and the two second limiting plates 26 are respectively slidably disposed in the two second limiting grooves 16.

In addition, as shown in FIGS. 8 to 11 , in this embodiment, the substrate 10a is a cover plate, and the substrate 10a is disposed above the movable member 20a, the flexible sheet 30 and the device connector 40, and the first side 31 of the flexible sheet 30 remains inside the substrate 10a.

As shown in FIGS. 8 to 11 , taking the first limiting groove 15 and the first limiting plate 25 adjacent to the first plate side 12 as an example, the extension direction of the first limiting groove 15 is the same as the above-mentioned movable direction S, and the first limiting groove 15 has a first side surface 151 and a second side surface 152, wherein the first side surface 151 is adjacent to the first plate side 12 relative to the second side surface 152, and the movable member The first limiting plate 25 of 20a can be closer to the first side surface 151 as a whole, that is, the first limiting plate 25 has a first side edge 251 and a second side edge 252, the first side edge 251 is closer to the first plate side 12 relative to the second side edge 252, and the distance between the first side edge 251 and the first side surface 151 is smaller than the distance between the second side edge 252 and the second side surface 152. Here, the first side edge 251 of the first limiting plate 25 almost touches the first side surface 151, and there is a clearly visible distance between the second side edge 252 and the second side surface 152. Therefore, please refer to FIG. 8 and FIG. 11 . When the flexible sheet 30 is pulled and moves outward in a direction away from the substrate 10a, if the user applies improper force and causes the flexible sheet 30 to deflect toward the second plate side 13 of the substrate 10a (as shown by the arrow L in FIG. 11 ), the first side edge 251 of the first limiting plate 25 and the first side surface 151 of the first limiting groove 15 can generate interference and friction to prevent the flexible sheet 30 from continuing to deflect, thereby correcting the moving trajectory of the flexible sheet 30, so that the flexible sheet 30 can stretch and contract in the above-mentioned active direction S.

As shown in FIGS. 8 to 11 , the second limiting plate 26 and the second limiting groove 16 adjacent to the first plate side 12 may also have the same or similar structural design as the first limiting groove 15 and the first limiting plate 25, that is, the second limiting plate 26 as a whole may be closer to the side surface of the second limiting groove 16 adjacent to the first plate side 12. Thus, when the flexible sheet 30 deflects toward the second plate side 13 of the substrate 10a during the extension and contraction process, the first limiting plate 25 and the second limiting plate 26 adjacent to the first plate side 12 may cooperate to correct the moving track of the flexible sheet 30, thereby preventing the flexible sheet 30 from deflecting during the extension and contraction process. Similarly, the first limiting plate 25 adjacent to the second plate side 13 can be overall closer to the side surface of the first limiting groove 15 adjacent to the second plate side 13, and the second limiting plate 26 adjacent to the second plate side 13 can be overall closer to the side surface of the second limiting groove 16 adjacent to the second plate side 13 to prevent the flexible sheet 30 from deflecting toward the first plate side 12 of the substrate 10a during extension and contraction.

FIG. 12 is a plan view of the third embodiment of the telescopic connection device of the present invention, and FIG. 13 is a diagram of the telescopic action of the flexible piece of the third embodiment of the telescopic connection device of the present invention. As shown in FIG. 12 and FIG. 13, the difference between the present embodiment and the first embodiment mentioned above is at least that each elastic member 50b of the telescopic connection device 1b of the present embodiment is a torsion spring, and the movable member 20b further has a plurality of slide grooves 21, and the plurality of slide grooves 21 are arranged at intervals from each other, and the first end 51b of each elastic member 50b is fixed to the base plate 10b. For example, in the present embodiment, the base plate 10b has a plurality of fixing portions 17, and the plurality of fixing portions 17 are arranged at intervals from each other to correspond to the plurality of elastic members 50b, respectively, and the first end 51b of each elastic member 50b is fixed to the corresponding fixing portion 17. The second end 52b of each elastic member 50b is slidably connected to each slide groove 21 of the movable member 20b. Thus, when the flexible sheet 30 is pulled and moves out in a direction away from the substrate 10b (as shown in FIG. 13 ), the movable member 20b can drive the second end 52b of each elastic member 50b to move in a direction away from the substrate 10b and slide along each slide groove 21, thereby causing each elastic member 50b to twist and deform to accumulate elastic force. When the flexible sheet 30 is released and the external force is removed, each elastic member 50b can return to its original state through the elastic force and drive the flexible sheet 30 to move and retract in the direction of the substrate 10b (as shown in FIG. 12 ).

FIG. 14 is a perspective view of the fourth embodiment of the telescopic connection device of the present invention, FIG. 15 is a partially enlarged perspective view of the fourth embodiment of the telescopic connection device of the present invention, FIG. 16 is a partially enlarged exploded perspective view of the fourth embodiment of the telescopic connection device of the present invention, FIG. 17 is a partial plan view of the fourth embodiment of the telescopic connection device of the present invention, and FIG. 18 is a telescopic action view of the flexible sheet of the fourth embodiment of the telescopic connection device of the present invention. As shown in FIG. 14 to FIG. 18, in the fourth embodiment, the telescopic connection device 1c also includes a base plate 10c, a movable member 20c, a flexible sheet 30, a device connector 40, and a plurality of elastic members 50. The difference between this embodiment and the first embodiment is at least that the telescopic connection device 1c of this embodiment further includes a plurality of swing rods 60 arranged at intervals from each other, each swing rod 60 having a pivot end 61 and a sliding end 62 opposite to each other, the pivot end 61 being pivoted on the base plate 10c so that each swing rod 60 can swing relative to the base plate 10c with the pivot end 61 as an axis. The sliding end 62 of each swing rod 60 is slidably connected to the movable member 20c. For example, in this embodiment, the movable member 20c has a plurality of slide grooves 21c arranged at intervals from each other, and the sliding end 62 of each swing rod 60 is slidably disposed in each slide groove 21c.

As shown in FIGS. 14 to 18 , the first end 51 of each elastic member 50 is fixed to the base plate 10c, and the second end 52 of each elastic member 50 is fixed between the pivot end 61 and the sliding end 62 of each swing bar 60. Thus, when the flexible sheet 30 is pulled and moves out in a direction away from the base plate 10c (as shown in FIG. 18 ), the movable member 20c can drive the sliding end 62 of each swing bar 60 to move in a direction away from the base plate 10c and slide along each slide groove 21c, so that each swing bar 60 rotates relative to the base plate 10c and drives each elastic member 50 to deform, so that each elastic member 50 generates an elastic pulling force on each swing bar 60 in the direction of the base plate 10c. When the flexible sheet 30 is released and the external force is removed, the elastic tension can drive the flexible sheet 30 to move and retract toward the substrate 10c via the swing rods 60, so that the elastic members 50 return to their original state (as shown in FIG. 17 ).

FIG. 19 is a perspective view of the fifth embodiment of the telescopic connection device of the present invention, FIG. 20 is a partially enlarged perspective view of the fifth embodiment of the telescopic connection device of the present invention, FIG. 21 is a partially enlarged exploded perspective view of the fifth embodiment of the telescopic connection device of the present invention, FIG. 22 is a cross-sectional view of the fifth embodiment of the telescopic connection device of the present invention, and FIG. 23 is a telescopic action view of the flexible sheet of the fifth embodiment of the telescopic connection device of the present invention. As shown in FIG. 19 to FIG. 23, in the fifth embodiment, the telescopic connection device 1d also includes a base plate 10d, a movable member 20d, a flexible sheet 30, a device connector 40, and a plurality of elastic members 50. The difference between this embodiment and the first embodiment is at least that the telescopic connection device 1d of this embodiment further includes at least one roller 65, wherein the number of rollers 65 is multiple and the multiple rollers 65 are arranged at intervals from each other, each roller 65 is rotatably connected to the movable member 20d, and the outer periphery of each roller 65 contacts the surface of the substrate 10d. In some embodiments, the roller 65 can be a needle roller, a ball roller, a cylinder or other round objects.

22 and 23, when the flexible sheet 30 is subjected to force and stretches and contracts along the above-mentioned moving direction S, the movable part 20d and the substrate 10d can be in a rolling contact state due to the arrangement of the above-mentioned multiple rolling parts 65, thereby greatly reducing the friction force and making the movement of the flexible sheet 30 smoother.

10d。In addition, as shown in FIGS. 21 to 23 , in this embodiment, one side of the substrate 10d further has a limiting protrusion 19, and the limiting protrusion 19 is located between the rolling member 65 and the second side 32 of the flexible sheet 30. Thus, when the flexible sheet 30 is subjected to force and moves in a direction away from the substrate 10d, the limiting protrusion 19 can prevent the flexible sheet 30 from being overstretched and prevent the movable member 20d from completely separating from the substrate 10d.

Although the technical content of the present invention has been disclosed as above with the preferred embodiments, it is not intended to limit the present invention.
