Description

Remote care system and operation method of remote care system

The present invention relates to a monitoring system, in particular a remote monitoring system.

With the rapid development of economy and technology, the advent of an aging society, the dependency ratio has increased year by year, and long-term care for the elderly has gradually received attention. Although existing nursing homes or elderly care centers can take care of the daily life of the elderly, the monthly care fee is quite expensive for young people.

If family members take the elderly home to take care of them, they usually use some physiological monitoring instruments (such as thermometers or blood pressure monitors) to monitor the health of the elderly. However, if the family members go out and leave the elderly at home, or if the elderly go out alone, the family members cannot take care of the elderly immediately. If the elderly have an emergency such as coma or cardiac arrest, the family members outside cannot respond to the emergency immediately. As shown in Figure 2, the operation method of the remote care system includes steps S11 to S15. The operation method of the remote care system shown in Figure 2 can be applied to the remote care system 1A shown in Figure 1B, but is not limited thereto. The following exemplarily illustrates steps S11 to S15 using the operation of the remote care system 1A shown in Figure 1B.

16。 Step S11: The emergency trigger 11 sends an emergency signal to the control unit 16 when it is triggered. Specifically, the user can actively press the emergency trigger 11 when feeling unwell or encountering other emergency situations, so as to trigger the emergency trigger 11 to generate an emergency signal and transmit the emergency signal to the control unit 16.

Step S12: The control unit 16 generates an emergency notification according to the emergency signal, obtains the user status information from the detection module 12, and obtains the user's location from the locator 13. Specifically, the control unit 16 is triggered by the emergency signal from the emergency trigger 11, generates an emergency notification for notifying the server 20, obtains the user status information of the user currently measured from the detection module 12, and obtains the user's location currently measured from the locator 13.

In detail, the control unit 16 can determine whether the emergency signal is caused by the user accidentally triggering the emergency trigger 11. If the control unit 16 determines that the emergency signal is not caused by the user accidentally triggering the emergency trigger 11, the control unit 16 generates an emergency notification and obtains the user's user status information and location.

In one embodiment, the control unit 16 can compare the duration of the emergency signal with the time threshold to determine whether it is a user error, wherein the duration of the emergency signal is the duration of the emergency trigger 11 being triggered. If the duration of the emergency signal is greater than the time threshold, the control unit 16 determines that the emergency signal is not a user error, and generates an emergency notification and obtains the user's user status information and location; if the duration of the emergency signal is less than the time threshold, the control unit 16 determines that the emergency signal is a user error and does not take action.

In another embodiment, the control unit 16 can compare the signal strength of the emergency signal with the signal strength threshold to determine whether it is a user error, wherein the signal strength of the emergency signal is the strength of the force when the emergency trigger 11 is pressed. If the signal strength of the emergency signal is greater than the signal strength threshold, the control unit 16 determines that the emergency signal is not a user error, and generates an emergency notification and obtains the user's user status information and location; if the signal strength of the emergency signal is less than the signal strength threshold, the control unit 16 determines that the emergency signal is a user error and does not act.

In addition to generating the emergency notification and obtaining the user status information and user location as mentioned above, the control unit 16 can also control the speaker of the audio transceiver module 15 to emit a warning sound (such as a buzzer or beep) after receiving the emergency signal.

20。 Step S13: Control the communication module 14 to send the emergency notification, user status information and location to the server 20 through the control unit 16. Specifically, the control unit 16 can control the communication module 14 to send the emergency notification, user status information and location to the server 20 in batches, or the control unit 16 can integrate the emergency notification, user device information and location into one packet, and then send the packet to the server 20 through the communication module 14.

16。 Step S14: The server 20 transmits a call request to the control unit 16 through the communication module 14 according to the emergency notification. Specifically, when the server 20 receives the emergency notification, the service personnel of the control center generates and transmits the call request to the care device 10 through the server 20, and the communication module 14 of the care device 10 receives and transmits the call request to the control unit 16.

Step S15: The control unit 16 controls the audio transceiver module 15 to perform the call operation according to the call request. Specifically, the control unit 16 receives and agrees to the call request, and controls the audio transceiver module 15 to start to perform the call operation. Further, after receiving and agreeing to the call request, the control unit 16 controls the speaker of the audio transceiver module 15 to make a sound to inform the user that the service personnel of the control center are calling. The user presses the call button displayed on the care device 10 to talk to the service personnel of the control center.

The first embodiment of the operation method of the remote care system of the present invention may further include the following steps: the control unit 16 controls the communication module 14 to periodically transmit the user status information and location to the server 20, and the server 20 displays the user status information and location on the user device CL1 through the care application. For example, the control unit 16 controls the communication module 14 to transmit the user status information and location to the server 20 every half hour, the server 20 transmits the user status information and location to the user device CL1, and the care application of the user device CL1 displays the user status information and location for the user to view.

In addition, the service personnel of the control center sends another call request to the user device CL1 through the server 20. The user device CL1 receives and agrees to the call request. The user presses the call button displayed on the user device CL1, and the service personnel of the control center calls the user to confirm the user's status.

S18。 Please refer to FIG. 1A, FIG. 1B and FIG. 3, which are flow charts of the second embodiment of the operation method of the remote care system of the present invention. In this embodiment, the operation method of the remote care system includes steps S11 to S13 as shown in FIG. 2, and may further include steps S16 to S18, wherein steps S11 to S13 are as described in the first embodiment of the operation method, and are not repeated here, indicating that steps S16 to S18 are executed after step S13. The operation method of the remote care system shown in FIG. 3 can be applied to the remote care system shown in FIG. 1B, but is not limited thereto. The following exemplarily illustrates steps S16 to S18 using the operation of the remote care system shown in FIG. 1B.

S18。 Step S16: The server 20 determines whether the user status information meets the preset status information according to the emergency notification. If the server 20 determines that the user status information does not meet the preset status information according to the emergency notification, the server 20 proceeds to step S17; if the server 20 determines that the user status information meets the preset status information according to the emergency notification, the server 20 proceeds to step S18.

Specifically, the server 20 pre-stores preset status information, which includes a normal tilt angle range, a normal body temperature range, a normal blood pressure range, a normal heart rate range, and a normal step number range. The normal tilt angle range may be, for example, 90 degrees to 30 degrees, the normal body temperature range may be, for example, 36°C to 37.5°C, the normal blood pressure range may be, for example, 110/70mmHg to 120/80mmHg, the normal heart rate range may be, for example, 60 beats/minute to 80 beats/minute, and the normal step number range may be, for example, 5000 steps to 7500 steps. When the server 20 determines that the body temperature is within the normal body temperature range, the blood pressure is within the normal blood pressure range, the heart rate is within the normal heart rate range, the tilt angle is within the normal tilt angle range, and the number of steps taken by the user is within the normal step range, the server 20 determines that the user status information meets the preset status information and the user's physiological condition is normal; when the server 20 determines that the body temperature is not within the normal body temperature range, the blood pressure is not within the normal blood pressure range, the heart rate is not within the normal heart rate range, the tilt angle is not within the normal tilt angle range, or the number of steps taken by the user is not within the normal step range, the server 20 determines that the user status information does not meet the preset status information, and further determines that the user's status is abnormal.

Step S17: Server 20 performs emergency response operations based on the location. Specifically, when server 20 determines that the user status information does not match the preset status information, that is, server 20 determines that the user status is emergency, as shown in Figure 1A, the service personnel of the control center calls hospital HS1 through server 20 and informs the medical staff of hospital HS1 of the user's location. Hospital HS1 dispatches an ambulance to the user's location to rescue the user.

Step S18: No action or the server 20 records the user status as normal. Specifically, when the server 20 determines that the user status information meets the preset status information, that is, the server 20 determines that the user status is normal, the server 20 does not act or records the user status as normal at this time.

CL2。 Please refer to Figures 4A and 4B, which are a configuration diagram of the second embodiment of the remote care system of the present invention and a functional block diagram of the remote care system drawn according to the second embodiment of the present invention. As shown in FIG. 4A and FIG. 4B , the remote care system 1B includes a care device 10 and a server 20. The care device 10 includes an emergency trigger 11, a detection module 12, a locator 13, a communication module 14, an audio transceiver module 15, and a control unit 16. The configuration relationship has been described in the first embodiment and the similarities are not repeated. However, the second embodiment of the present invention is still different from the first embodiment in that: the care device 10 may further include a memory 17 and a user interface 18, and the server 20 may be connected to the emergency contact device CL2 for communication.

The memory 17 can be electrically connected to the control unit 16 and store the emergency contact phone number, which is the phone number corresponding to the emergency contact device CL2. The memory 17 can be a flash memory, a hard disk drive (HDD), a solid state drive (SSD), a dynamic random access memory (DRAM), a static random access memory (SRAM) or other non-volatile memory. The user interface 18 can be electrically connected to the control unit 16 and controlled by the control unit 16 to present options corresponding to the emergency contact phone number. Specifically, the user interface 18 is a touch screen, and the control unit 16 controls the touch screen to display the option of the emergency contact phone number, so that the user can call the emergency contact through the care device 10 and the server 20. In particular, FIG. 4A only shows that the number of emergency contact devices CL2 is one, but the present invention does not limit the number of emergency contact phone numbers stored in the memory 17.

S32。 Please refer to Figures 4A, 4B and 5, which are flow charts of the operation method of the third embodiment of the operation method of the remote care system of the present invention. As shown in Figure 5, the operation method of the remote care system includes steps S31 to S32. The operation method of the remote care system shown in Figure 5 can be applied to the remote care system 1B shown in Figure 4B, but is not limited thereto. The following exemplarily illustrates steps S31 to S32 using the operation of the remote care system 1B shown in Figure 4B.

20。 Step S21: The control unit 16 transmits the call request and the emergency contact phone number to the server 20 through the communication module 14 according to the trigger signal of the option. Specifically, the user interface 18 displays the emergency contact phone number option, and the user touches the option of the user interface 18, and the user interface 18 is triggered to generate and transmit the trigger signal to the control unit 16. The control unit 16 generates a call request according to the trigger signal, and controls the communication module 14 to transmit the call request and the emergency contact phone number to the server 20.

Step S22: The server 20 establishes a call connection between the care device 10 and the emergency contact device CL2 having the emergency contact phone according to the call request and the emergency contact phone. Specifically, the server 20 first establishes a call connection between the server 20 and the emergency contact device CL2 according to the call request and the emergency contact phone, and then establishes a call connection between the care device 10 and the emergency contact device CL2.

In one implementation, the service personnel of the control center first establishes a call connection between the emergency contact device CL2 and the server 20 through the server 20 according to the call request and the emergency contact phone number. The service personnel of the control center calls the emergency contact to confirm the identity of the emergency contact. The server 20 further establishes a call connection between the care device 10 and the emergency contact device CL2 for the user to call the emergency contact (for example, the user's family).

In another embodiment, the server 20 establishes a call connection between the emergency contact device CL2 and the server 20 according to the call request and the emergency contact phone number, and then establishes a call connection between the care device 10 and the emergency contact device CL2, so that the emergency contact and the user can talk directly.

It should be mentioned that the remote care system 1B shown in FIG. 4B can also execute the operation method of the remote care system shown in FIG. 2 and FIG. 3.

TC1。 Please refer to FIG. 6A and FIG. 6B , which are a configuration diagram of the third embodiment of the remote care system of the present invention and a functional block diagram of the third embodiment of the remote care system of the present invention. As shown in FIG. 6A and FIG. 6B , the remote care system 1C includes a care device 10 and a server 20. The care device 10 includes an emergency trigger 11, a detection module 12, a locator 13, a communication module 14, an audio transceiver module 15, and a control unit 16. The configuration relationship has been described in the first embodiment and the similarities are not repeated. However, the third embodiment of the present invention is still different from the first embodiment in that: the care device 10 may further include a power detector 19, the communication module 14 may include a first communication unit 141 and a second communication unit 142, and the server 20 may be connected to the device TC1 carrying the care application program for communication.

The power detector 19 can be electrically connected to the control unit 16 and used to detect the power of the care device 10. The communication protocols of the first communication unit 141 and the second communication unit 142 are different from each other. The first communication unit 141 can use a communication technology for long-distance transmission such as a 4G antenna or a 5G antenna, and the first communication unit 141 is a communication connection server 20. The second communication unit 142 can use a communication technology for short-distance transmission such as a Bluetooth signal transceiver or a Wifi signal transceiver, and the second communication unit 142 can be controlled by the control unit 16 to search for a device TC1 loaded with a care application (which can be a personal device in a store near the user, such as a tablet computer). In particular, the long-distance communication performed by the first communication unit 141 consumes more power than the short-distance communication performed by the second communication unit 142.

S34。 Please refer to FIG. 7, which is a flow chart of the operation method of the fourth embodiment of the operation method of the remote care system of the present invention. As shown in FIG. 7, the operation method of the remote care system includes steps S31 to S34. The operation method of the remote care system shown in FIG. 7 can be applied to the remote care system 1C shown in FIG. 6B, but is not limited thereto. The following exemplarily illustrates steps S31 to S34 using the operation of the remote care system 1C shown in FIG. 6B.

S32。 Step S31: The control unit 16 periodically transmits the user status information and location to the server 20 via the first communication unit 141, and periodically activates the connection status determination procedure. Specifically, the control unit 16 transmits the user status information and location to the server 20 via the first communication unit 141 at intervals (e.g., every 30 minutes), and the control unit 16 also activates the connection status determination procedure at intervals (e.g., every 30 minutes), that is, periodically executes step S32.

S33。 Step S32: The control unit 16 periodically determines whether the connection status of the first communication unit 141 is normal. If the control unit 16 determines that the connection status of the first communication unit 141 is normal, step S32 is continued to be executed; if the control unit 16 determines that the connection status of the first communication unit 141 is abnormal, step S33 is continued to be executed.

Specifically, the control unit 16 determines whether the wireless signal strength between the first communication unit 141 and the control unit 20 falls within the normal signal strength range to determine the connection status of the first communication unit 141. When the control unit 16 determines that the wireless signal strength between the first communication unit 141 and the control unit 20 falls within the normal signal strength range, the control unit 16 determines that the connection status of the first communication unit 141 is normal; when the control unit 16 determines that the wireless signal strength between the first communication unit 141 and the control unit 20 does not fall within the normal signal strength range, the control unit 16 determines that the connection status of the first communication unit 141 is abnormal.

Step S33: The control unit 16 searches for the device TC1 loaded with the care application through the second communication unit 142. Specifically, the control unit 16 determines that the first communication unit 141 cannot normally transmit the user status information and location to the server 20. The control unit 16 controls the second communication unit 142 to execute a pairing procedure (such as a Bluetooth pairing procedure) to find multiple devices with wireless communication functions near the care device 10. The second communication unit 142 finds the device TC1 loaded with the care application from the multiple devices and pairs with it successfully.

Step S34: The control unit 16 transmits the user status information and location to the device TC1 carrying the care application, and notifies the device TC1 carrying the care application to transmit the user status information and location to the server 20. In other words, the device TC1 carrying the care application forwards the user status information and location to the server 20, so that the server 20 can still obtain the user status information and location when the connection status of the first communication unit 141 is abnormal.

S49。 Please refer to FIG8, which is a flow chart of the operation method of the fifth embodiment of the operation method of the remote care system of the present invention. As shown in FIG8, the operation method of the remote care system includes steps S41 to S49, and steps S41 and S43 to S45 are respectively the same as steps S12 to S15 shown in FIG2, wherein the emergency signal is generated after the emergency trigger 11 is triggered, and the remaining details are not repeated. The operation method of the remote care system shown in FIG8 can be applied to the remote care system 1C shown in FIG6B, but is not limited thereto. The following is an example of the operation of the remote care system 1C shown in FIG. 6B to illustrate step S42 and step S46 to step S49.

S46。 Step S42: The control unit 16 determines whether the power is lower than the threshold value according to the emergency signal. If the control unit 16 determines that the power is not lower than the threshold value according to the emergency signal, the steps S43 to S45 are executed; if the control unit 16 determines that the power is lower than the threshold value according to the emergency signal, the step S46 is executed.

Specifically, the control unit 16 stores a power threshold value (which may be, for example, 30%) and determines whether the care device 10 is in a low power state by comparing the power of the care device 10 with the value of the threshold value. When the control unit 16 determines that the power is lower than the threshold value, it indicates that the care device 10 is in a low power state; when the control unit 16 determines that the power is not lower than the threshold value, it indicates that the care device 10 has sufficient power.

Step S46: The control unit 16 searches for a device carrying the care application via the second communication unit 142, and transmits the user status information and location to the device TC1 carrying the care application. Specifically, when the control unit 16 determines that the care device 10 is in a low power state, the control unit 16 will still control the first communication unit 141 to send an emergency notification, user status information and location to the server 20. However, since the care device 10 may be shut down after the first communication unit 141 sends the emergency notification, user status information and location to the server 20 due to low power, it is impossible to communicate with the server 20. The control unit 16 further controls the second communication unit 142 to execute a pairing procedure to pair with the device TC1 loaded with the care application, and sends the user status information and location to the device TC1 loaded with the care application, so that the server 20 can subsequently establish a call connection with the device TC1 when it is unable to establish a call connection with the care device 10.

Step S47: The server 20 determines whether a response to the call request is obtained. If the server 20 determines that a response to the call request is not obtained, step S48 is executed; if the server 20 determines that a response to the call request is obtained, step S49 is executed. Specifically, the server 20 can send a call request to the care device 10 according to the emergency notification. When the server 20 cannot obtain a response to the call request, it means that the care device 10 may be shut down due to low power.

Step S48: Send another call request to the device TC1 carrying the care application through the server 20. Specifically, when the server 20 does not get a response to the call request, the server 20 sends another call request to the device TC1 carrying the care application. The device TC1 carrying the care application receives and agrees to the call request. The service personnel of the control center calls the user of the device TC1 carrying the care application through the server 20 to confirm the status of the user of the care device 10. In detail, when device TC1 receives user status information and location from care device 1, it can record and report to server 20 through the care application, so that server 20 can obtain the contact information of device TC1 through the care application to send a call request and contact the user of device TC1.

Step S49: The control unit 16 controls the audio transceiver module 15 to perform the call operation according to the call request. Specifically, when the server 20 obtains a response to the call request, the control unit 16 agrees to the call request and controls the audio transceiver module 15 to start and perform the call operation, so that the service personnel of the control center can talk to the user.

Through the above process, the server 20 can still obtain the user's status information and location when the care device 10 is in a low-power state, and the server 20 can also send a call request to the device TC1 carrying the care application when it cannot obtain a response from the care device 10, so that the service personnel of the control center can still call the store near the user even if they cannot contact the user. In particular, the above process can be applied to community-based long-term care services.
