The backlight module of the present invention adopts a suspension component, and the suspension component is arranged on the first side of the light guide plate, and the first optical film is suspended from the first light-emitting surface. In other words, because the first optical film is suspended on the light guide plate via the suspension component, when the volume of the light guide plate changes due to the temperature, the suspension component can provide the first optical film with a stretching amount or compression amount approximately equal to the volume change of the light guide plate, thereby effectively preventing the first optical film from being overstretched or overcompressed. In addition, the same technical means can be applied to the second optical film, which will not be repeated. Based on the above, the backlight module and the suspension assembly of the present invention can provide the advantage of easily maintaining the first optical film (and the second optical film) flat. Similarly, the backlight module and the suspension assembly of other embodiments of the present invention can provide the advantage of easily maintaining the first optical film (and the second optical film) flat.

In order to make the above and other purposes, features and advantages of the present invention more clearly understood, the following is a detailed description of the embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings.

120。FIG1 is a schematic diagram of a backlight module of an embodiment of the present invention. FIG2 is an enlarged schematic diagram of area Z1 of FIG1. FIG3 is a schematic diagram of the separation of the first suspension element and the light guide plate of FIG2. Please refer to FIG1 first. The backlight module 100 includes a light guide plate 110, a first optical film 120 and a suspension assembly 130. As shown in FIG2 and FIG3, the light guide plate 110 has a first side surface 111 (also marked in FIG1) and a first light emitting surface 112 connected to each other. The first side surface 111 has a groove G. The first optical film 120 (shown in FIG2) is arranged corresponding to the first light emitting surface 112. The suspension assembly 130 includes a first suspension element 131. The first suspension element 131 has a first body portion 1310 and a first tongue portion 1311. The first body portion 1310 has a first portion P1 and a second portion P2 connected to each other. The first portion P1 is disposed in the groove G, and the second portion P2 is bent relative to the first portion P1. The first tongue portion 1311 stands on the second portion P2 and protrudes away from the second portion P2. The first tongue portion 1311 positions the first optical film 120.

Please refer to FIG. 1 again. The material of the light guide plate 110 may include acrylic (PMMA, polymethyl methacrylate), but the present invention is not limited thereto. In the present embodiment, the backlight module 100 is, for example, a side-lit backlight module, so the light-emitting element (not shown) may be disposed at the edge of the light guide plate 110. Specifically, the light guide plate 110 may also have a second side surface 113 opposite to the first side surface 111, and the light-emitting element may be disposed opposite to the second side surface 113. In other embodiments, the backlight module 100 may be a direct-lit backlight module, and the present invention does not impose further restrictions on these details.

Please refer to FIG. 2 and FIG. 3 again. The material of the first suspension element 131 may include metal; for example, the shape of the first suspension element 131 may be formed by cutting and bending a sheet metal. It is understood that the specific shape of the first suspension element 131 may be different from the shape shown in FIG. 2 and FIG. 3 according to different materials and processes, and the present invention does not impose any restrictions on this.

Please refer to FIG. 1 again. It is worth mentioning that in the present embodiment, the number of the first suspension elements 131 is, for example, multiple, and the number of the grooves G of the light guide plate 110 corresponds to the number of the first suspension elements 131. In detail, each first suspension element 131 can be fixed at a specific position on the first side surface 111 through each groove G; thus, when the volume of the light guide plate 110 expands or contracts due to temperature changes, each first suspension element 131 can move together with the volume change of the light guide plate 110. For example, when the light guide plate 110 expands in volume due to temperature, the distance D between the first suspension elements 131 increases accordingly, and the volume change of the light guide plate 110 is positively correlated with the change in the distance D. Therefore, it is possible to effectively prevent the first suspension elements 131 from over-stretching or compressing the first optical film 120, thereby making it easier for the first optical film 120 to maintain flatness.

FIG4 is a schematic cross-sectional view of the backlight module of FIG2 . Please refer to FIG3 and FIG4 together. The backlight module 100, for example, further includes a second optical film 140 (shown in FIG4 ). The light guide plate 110 may further have a second light emitting surface 114 opposite to the first light emitting surface 112, and the second optical film 140 is arranged corresponding to the second light emitting surface 114. The first suspension element 131 may further have a second tongue portion 1312. The first main body portion 1310 may further have a third portion P3. The third portion P3 is connected to a side of the first portion P1 opposite to the second portion P2, and is bent relative to the first portion P1. The second tongue portion 1312 stands on the third portion P3 and positions the second optical film 140. In short, both sides of the suspension assembly 130 can be used to suspend the optical film, so that the backlight module 100 can be configured with two optical films for application in a double-sided display device. It is understood that in one embodiment, the backlight module 100 can be configured with one optical film (such as the first optical film 120) for application in a single-sided display device, and the suspension assembly 130 can omit the third portion P3 and the second tongue portion 1312, and the first portion P1 can be glued and fixed to the first side surface 111, so that the first suspension element 131 is fixed in the groove G, but the present invention does not impose more restrictions on the fixing method.

Compared with the prior art, the backlight module 100 of the present embodiment adopts a suspension component 130, and the suspension component 130 is disposed on the first light emitting surface 112 of the light guide plate 110, and suspends the first optical film 120 from the first side surface 111. In other words, because the first optical film 120 is suspended on the light guide plate 110 via the suspension component 130, the amount of stretching or compression of the first optical film 120 can be roughly estimated from the volume change caused by the temperature of the light guide plate 110, and the first optical film 120 can be over-stretched or over-compressed. Based on the above, the backlight module 100 and the suspension assembly 130 of the present embodiment can provide the advantage of easily maintaining the flatness of the first optical film 120 .

132。FIG. 5 is an enlarged schematic diagram of the area Z2 of FIG. 1 . FIG. 6 is a cross-sectional schematic diagram of the backlight module of FIG. 5 . Please refer to FIG. 1 first. The suspension assembly 130 (marked in FIG. 1 ) may also include a second suspension element 132. As shown in FIG. 5 and FIG. 6 , the second suspension element 132 has a second body portion 1320 and a third tongue portion 1321. The second body portion 1320 abuts against the first light emitting surface 112 (also marked in FIG. 1 ) and is close to the second side surface 113 (also marked in FIG. 1 ). The third tongue portion 1321 stands on the second body portion 1320 and protrudes away from the second body portion 1320. The third tongue portion 1321 positions the first optical film 120. Further, please refer to FIG. 1 again. Because the first side surface 111 and the second side surface 113 are opposite to each other, the first suspension element 131 and the second suspension element 132 can flatten the first optical film 120 from the opposite sides of the first optical film 120, so that the first optical film 120 can be more easily maintained flat. Incidentally, the number of the second suspension elements 132 is, for example, multiple, and the number of the second suspension elements 132 can correspond to the number of the first suspension elements 131, and the present invention does not impose any restrictions on the number of the second suspension elements 132 and the number of the first suspension elements 131. Please refer to FIG. 5 and FIG. 6 again. In this embodiment, the second suspension element 132, for example, also has a base portion 1322 (shown in FIG. 5). The base portion 1322 is connected to the end of the second body portion 1320 near the second side surface 113 and is bent relative to the second body portion 1320. In detail, the base portion 1322 can abut against a part located on the second side surface 113 of the light guide plate 110; for example, the base portion 1322 of this embodiment can abut against a light-emitting element (not shown), but the present invention does not limit this. In addition, please continue to refer to FIG. 6. In this embodiment, because the backlight module 100 is also equipped with a second optical film 140, a second suspension element 132 can also be set on the side of the second light-emitting surface 114 near the second side surface 113.

FIG7 is a schematic diagram of a backlight module of another embodiment of the present invention. FIG8 is a schematic diagram of the light guide plate, frame and buffer element separated in area Z3 of FIG7. FIG9 is a cross-sectional schematic diagram of area Z3 of FIG7. The structure and advantages of the backlight module of this embodiment are similar to those of the embodiment of FIG1, and only the differences are described below. Please refer to FIG7 first. The backlight module 100a may also include a frame 150 and a buffer element 160 (shown in FIG8), and the light guide plate 110 is disposed in the frame 150. Please refer to FIG8 and FIG9. The first part P1 of the first suspension element 131 is located between the frame 150 and the light guide plate 110. The buffer element 160 is between the first part P1 and the frame 150. Specifically, the buffer element 160 can relieve the pressure exerted on the first portion P1 by the volume expansion of the light guide plate 110 due to the temperature, so as to prevent the structure of the light guide plate 110 from being damaged. In addition, when the volume of the light guide plate 110 stops expanding and starts to shrink, the buffer element 160 can also apply a restoring force generated by the compression to the first suspension element 131, thereby pushing the first suspension element 131 to move toward the first side surface 111. In this way, the buffer element 160 can also ensure that the first suspension element 131 can be against the first side surface 111. In this embodiment, the material of the buffer element 160 may include rubber, and the shape of the buffer element 160 may be a block, but other embodiments are not limited thereto. In addition, in this embodiment, the number of the buffer element 160 is, for example, one, which can simplify the installation process of the buffer element 160. However, in one embodiment, the number of the buffer element 160 may be multiple.

The first suspension element 131 of the present embodiment may further have a positioning portion 1313. The first portion P1 has a first surface S1 and a second surface S2 that are opposite to each other; it should be noted that the first surface S1, for example, faces and abuts against the first side surface 111 (marked in FIG. 8 ) of the light guide plate 110, and the second surface S2 may be opposite to the first side surface 111. The second portion P2 is connected to the first surface S1, and the positioning portion 1313 stands on the second surface S2. In detail, the positioning portion 1313 can be provided for other parts to be aligned and installed; for example, the frame 150 of the present embodiment may have a positioning groove 151 corresponding to the positioning portion 1313, so that the frame 150 can be easier to align and install. Specifically, the first suspension element 131 may be disposed on the first side surface 111 of the light guide plate 110, and then the positioning groove 151 of the frame 150 may be aligned with the positioning portion 1313 of the first suspension element 131 to complete the installation of the frame 150. Incidentally, in other embodiments, the shape and detailed structure of the frame 150 may be different from that of the present embodiment and are not limited to those shown in FIGS. 7 and 8.

Figure 10 is a schematic diagram of a backlight module of another embodiment of the present invention. Figure 11 is a schematic cross-sectional view of Figure 10 along the A-A section line. Figure 12 is a schematic diagram of a first suspension element of Figure 10. Figure 13 is a schematic diagram of a backlight module of another embodiment of the present invention. The structure and advantages of the backlight module 100b and the suspension assembly 130b of this embodiment are similar to those of the embodiment of Figure 7, and only the differences are described below. Please refer to Figure 10, the backlight module 100b, for example, also includes a limit member 170. Please refer to Figures 11 and 12, the positioning portion 1313b of the first suspension element 131b may be in a sheet shape and have a positioning groove H. The positioning groove H extends to the side of the positioning portion 1313b that is opposite to the second surface S2. Please continue to refer to FIG. 11 . The limiting member 170 has a rod portion 171 and a stop portion 172 connected to each other. The rod portion 171 is inserted into the positioning groove H. The stop portion 172 is opposite to the positioning portion 1313b and is suitable for preventing the positioning portion 1313b from being folded relative to the first body portion 1310b. In detail, please refer to FIG. 10 and FIG. 11 again. The first suspension element 131b can be fixed to the light guide plate 110 via the first body portion 1310b. When the light guide plate 110 expands or contracts in volume due to temperature, the first suspension element 131b can be driven by the light guide plate 110 to move slightly relative to the limiting member 170. Further, please refer to FIG. 10 and FIG. 13 together. The number of first suspension elements 131b can be multiple, and the first suspension elements 131b are arranged on opposite sides of the light guide plate 110; thus, when the volume of the light guide plate 110 expands or contracts, the first suspension elements 131b can move slightly relative to the stopper 170 along the positioning groove H (shown in FIG. 11) to prevent the stopper 170 from interfering with the movement path of each first suspension element 131b. As shown in FIG. 11, in this embodiment, the rod 171 is matched with the positioning groove H, such as a gap, so that the rod 171 can be further prevented from interfering with the first suspension element 131b. Incidentally, the position-limiting member 170 of this embodiment is, for example, a screw, wherein the rod 171 can be a screw rod of the screw, and the stopper 172 can be a head of the screw. In addition, in this embodiment, the rod 171 of the position-limiting member 170 is, for example, fixed to the frame 150, but the present invention is not limited thereto.

220。FIG14 is a schematic diagram of a backlight module of an embodiment of the present invention. FIG15 is an enlarged schematic diagram of area Z4 of FIG14. FIG16 is a schematic diagram of a suspension assembly of FIG15. Please refer to FIG14 and FIG15 first. The backlight module 200 includes a light guide plate 210, a first optical film 220, and a suspension assembly A, wherein the suspension assembly A includes a first suspension element 230. Please continue to refer to FIG15. The light guide plate 210 has a connected side surface 211 and a first light emitting surface 212 (also marked in FIG14). The side surface 211 has a groove G, and the groove G forms a first opening O1 on the first light emitting surface 212. The first optical film 220 is arranged opposite to the first light emitting surface 212. As shown in FIG. 15 and FIG. 16 , the first suspension element 230 has a body portion 231 (also shown in FIG. 17 ) and a first tongue portion 232. The body portion 231 is disposed in the groove G. The first tongue portion 232 is connected to the body portion 231 and extends away from the body portion 231. The first tongue portion 232 protrudes through the first opening O1 relative to the first light emitting surface 212, and the first tongue portion 232 suspends the first optical film 220.

Please refer to FIG. 14 again. The features of the light guide plate 210 and the first optical film 220 are the same as those of the light guide plate 110 and the first optical film 120 in FIG. 1 , so the related description is omitted here.

Similarly, the features of the first suspension element 230 are substantially the same as the first suspension element 131 of FIG. 1 , so only the differences are described below. Please refer to FIG. 15 and FIG. 16 together. The body portion 231 may be in a sheet shape and may have a first edge E1, and the first edge E1 corresponds to the first opening O1. The first tongue portion 232 has two first segments L1, and the two first segments L1 connect the opposite sides of the first edge E1. However, in one embodiment, the first tongue portion 232 may extend along the first edge E1.

FIG. 17 is a schematic diagram of the suspension assembly of FIG. 16 from another perspective. Referring to FIG. 15 and FIG. 17 , the backlight module 200, for example, further includes a frame 240 (marked in FIG. 15 ), and the light guide plate 210 is disposed in the frame 240. The first suspension element 230 may also have a positioning portion 233, and the positioning portion 233 stands on a surface S (marked in FIG. 17 ) of the main body 231 that is opposite to the light guide plate 210, and extends opposite to the surface S. The first tongue 232 extends along the surface S. The frame 240 has a positioning structure 241 corresponding to the positioning portion 233, and the positioning portion 233 and the positioning structure 241 are suitable for being combined with each other. In this way, the frame 240 can be more easily aligned and installed. In the present embodiment, the positioning structure 241 is, for example, a positioning groove, but the present invention does not impose any restrictions on this. In addition, the positioning portion 233 of this embodiment may be in a sheet shape, but other embodiments are not limited thereto.

FIG18 is a schematic diagram of the suspension assembly of FIG15 abutting against the light guide plate and the frame. FIG19 is a schematic cross-sectional view of FIG15 along the B-B section line. Please refer to FIG17 and FIG18 first. The first suspension element 230 may also have two buffer plates 234 (also marked in FIG16). The two buffer plates 234 are located on opposite sides of the surface S, and the two buffer plates 234 are inclined toward each other relative to the surface S. The second buffer plate 234 is suitable for abutting against the frame 240 (shown in FIG18). Specifically, the second buffer sheet 234 can abut against the frame 240 as the volume of the light guide plate 210 expands due to the temperature, thereby absorbing the volume expansion of the light guide plate 210. Therefore, the second buffer sheet 234 can prevent the light guide plate 210 from over-stretching the first optical film 220 due to the volume expansion. In addition, when the volume of the light guide plate 210 begins to shrink, the first suspension element 230 can be pushed against the frame 240 by the second buffer sheet 234 and abut against the light guide plate 210. In this way, the second buffer sheet 234 can also ensure that the first suspension element 230 is fixed in the groove G during the volume shrinkage process of the light guide plate 210. Incidentally, as shown in FIG. 15 and FIG. 19 , the backlight module 200 further includes a stopper 250 , for example. The stopper 250 has a rod 251 (shown in FIG. 19 ) and a stopper 252 connected to each other. The rod 251 is inserted between the positioning portion 233 and the frame 240 , and the stopper 252 is suitable for pressing against the positioning portion 233 and the frame 240 to prevent the first suspension element 230 from being squeezed by the frame 240 and the light guide plate 210 and falling off. In this embodiment, the stopper 250 is, for example, a screw, wherein the rod 251 can be the screw rod of the screw, and the stopper 252 can be the head of the screw. However, the present invention does not impose too many restrictions on the specific structure of the stopper 250 .

FIG. 20 is a schematic diagram of the backlight module of FIG. 15 from another viewing angle. FIG. 21 is a schematic cross-sectional diagram of FIG. 20 along the C-C section line. Referring to FIG. 20 and FIG. 21 , the backlight module 200 may further include a second optical film 260. The light guide plate 210 may further include a second light emitting surface 213 (also marked in FIG. 18 ), and the second light emitting surface 213 is opposite to the first light emitting surface 212. Referring to FIG. 21 , the groove G is formed with a second opening O2 (also shown in FIG. 18 ) on the second light emitting surface 213. The second optical film 260 is arranged opposite to the second light emitting surface 213. Referring to FIG. 17 , FIG. 20 and FIG. 21 together, the first suspension element 230 may further include a second tongue portion 235 (also marked in FIG. 16 and FIG. 18 ). The second tongue portion 235 is connected to a side of the main body 231 opposite to the first tongue portion 232, and protrudes through the second opening O2 relative to the second light-emitting surface 213. As shown in Figures 20 and 21, the second tongue portion 235 suspends the second optical film 260. In short, the opposite sides of the first suspension element 230 can be used to suspend the optical film, so that the backlight module 200 can be configured with two optical films and can be applied to a double-sided display device. It can be understood that in one embodiment, the backlight module 200 can be configured with an optical film (such as the first optical film 220) for application in a single-sided display device, and the first suspension element 230 can omit the second tongue portion 235. In this embodiment, the features of the second optical film 260 are similar to those of the first optical film 220, so the relevant description is omitted here. Similarly, the body portion 231 has, for example, a second edge E2. The second edge E2 corresponds to the second opening O2. The second tongue portion 235 has two second segments L2, and the two second segments L2 connect the opposite sides of the second edge E2. However, in one embodiment, the second tongue portion 235 can extend along the second edge E2.

Please refer to FIG. 14 again. It is worth mentioning that the backlight module 200 of this embodiment can also be configured with the suspension assembly 130 of FIG. 1. For example, the first suspension element 131 and the second suspension element 132 can be arranged on opposite sides of the light guide plate 210, and the first suspension element 230 can be located between the first suspension element 131 and the second suspension element 132. However, in one embodiment, the backlight module 200 can omit the first suspension element 131 and the second suspension element 132, or replace the first suspension element 131 and the second suspension element 132 of FIG. 14 with the first suspension element 230, and the present invention does not limit these details. In addition, the present invention does not impose any limitation on the number of the first suspension element 230 , the first suspension element 131 , and the second suspension element 132 .

Compared with the prior art, the backlight module 200 of this embodiment adopts a first suspension element 230 (ie, suspension component A), and the first suspension element 230 is disposed on the first side surface 211 of the light guide plate 210 and suspends the first optical film 220 from the first light emitting surface 212. Furthermore, because the first optical film 220 is suspended on the light guide plate 210 via the first suspension element 230, when the volume of the light guide plate 210 changes due to the temperature, the first suspension element 230 can provide the first optical film 220 with a stretching amount or a compression amount approximately equal to the volume change of the light guide plate 210, thereby preventing the first optical film 220 from being overstretched or overcompressed. In addition, the same technical means can be applied to the second optical film 260, which will not be repeated. Based on the above, the backlight module 200 and the first suspension element 230 of this embodiment can provide the advantage of easily maintaining the flatness of the first optical film 220 (and the second optical film 260).

In summary, the backlight module of the present invention adopts a suspension component, and the suspension component is arranged on the first side of the light guide plate, and suspends the first optical film from the first light-emitting surface. In other words, because the first optical film is suspended on the light guide plate via the suspension component, when the volume of the light guide plate changes due to the temperature, the suspension component can provide the first optical film with a stretching amount or compression amount approximately equal to the volume change of the light guide plate, thereby preventing the first optical film from being overstretched or overcompressed.
