Abstract
本發明係有關適用於在承受顯著溫度變化之環境中使用的輸送機滾輪總成,且有關一體式端蓋。由於在該一體式端蓋組裝至陶瓷心軸期間因端蓋變形所致的彈性,該一體式端蓋可以確保對陶瓷心軸有效的扭矩傳遞。
Description
本發明係有關一種適用於在承受顯著溫度變化之環境中使用的輸送機滾輪總成,且與此一總成之用途以及可用於此總成的改良端蓋。
適用於在承受顯著溫度變化之環境中使用的輸送機滾輪總成,可以包含具有金屬端蓋之陶瓷心軸。通常,該陶瓷心軸係包含有熔矽石(fused silica)。該端蓋允許容易安裝在軸承或驅動輪上。舉例來說,在玻璃回火的應用中,一系列的陶瓷心軸支撐著玻璃板,因而該等端蓋可以機械地連接至驅動機構。該等端蓋應該要牢固地附接至該心軸上,藉此該心軸可以在所需速度旋轉。
該陶瓷心軸與該金屬端蓋之不同的熱膨脹,會使得該端蓋難以牢固地固定至該心軸,並且會在加熱或冷卻時造成偏心旋轉或破損。偏心旋轉通常是不理想的,因為這會對玻璃板形成不均勻的支撐表面或是速度上的變化,而導致刮痕產生。目前已經提出了許多種方法來克服這個困擾。美國專利第3,867,748號教示了使用
黏著劑來將端蓋固定至到心軸上。美國專利第4,242,782號則提出可以使用橡膠O形環來固定該端蓋。黏著劑與O形環在較高的溫度下,可能會變得柔軟並失去固持力,而導致心軸的偏心旋轉以及端蓋與心軸之間滑動。如果該黏著劑和O形環意外地處於此等高溫度下,其等就確實會失去其之固持力,而使得即使在溫度恢復到正常時,仍然會出現滑動情況。因此,使用黏著劑或O形環來將端蓋固定至心軸上的方式,僅限於低溫(低於250℃)下的應用。
金屬連接器也已經被用來將端蓋固定至心軸上。美國專利第5,316,129號或美國專利第4,404,011號描述了在心軸和端蓋之間使用線圈螺旋纏繞。該線圈包括有彎曲部分和直線部分。儘管端蓋和心軸具有不同的熱膨脹係數,彎曲部分和直線部分允許在端蓋和心軸之間連續接觸。此文件之平面側邊彈簧線圈係由相對薄且相對長的部分所組成。在這些條件下,該等線圈元件呈現出顯著的可撓性。因此,為了獲得足以將該端蓋固定至該心軸上的扭矩,該線圈就需要施加非常顯著的預應力。如果溫度意外上升(暫時過熱),該扭矩以及因而將該端蓋固定至該心軸的作用就會喪失。此外,在該系統冷卻時,扭矩也不會恢復。美國專利第5,906,567和5,370,596號描述了用於將該端蓋固定至該心軸的彎曲雙金屬墊片。該雙金屬墊片的曲率會隨著溫度變化,從而在該心軸與該端蓋之間維持牢固的連接。然而,螺旋彈簧或雙金屬系統之組裝與維修是困難的。此外,此種
金屬連接器係特別適用於特定溫度範圍(通常為400℃以上)。在該些溫度範圍以外,也會觀察到偏心旋轉的現象。
在現有的輸送機滾輪技術中所常常發現的另一個問題,是機器卡住的問題。例如,在所輸送的物品被阻擋,或是被機械卡住的情況下,驅動機構將會繼續操作並且將扭轉力傳遞到端蓋。在這些情況下,陶瓷心軸或固定裝置將會破裂。
EP-B1-1853866提供了一種輸送機滾輪總成,其包括一具有公差環之端蓋,該公差環係間設於該端蓋與該陶瓷心軸末端之間,以在較寬廣的應用溫度範圍內,牢固地且集中地將該端蓋固定於陶瓷心軸上,用來解決這些問題。由於其所傳遞之扭矩值會在高溫下隨著時間降低,這些端蓋可以提供範圍高達幾百N.m.的傳動扭矩,並且可以對抗暫時過熱的情況。然而,這些端蓋系統在大多數時間下都會是過大的。
包括有公差環之端蓋的其它缺點為,其等係由至少兩個分離部件所製成,因而需要組裝步驟,並且因為端蓋之尺寸與設計而是相對昂貴的。
DE-A1-10,2011,084,218揭露了一種端蓋,用於具有陶瓷滾輪本體之載體滾輪。該端蓋包含有可以旋轉支撐的一軸端,以及滾輪體本體之收容座。該收容座係由至少兩個被一孔所分隔的區段所形成,並且係與一連接板形成一體。這些區段係具有一錐形接觸表面,以與也具有錐形接觸表面之一可調節的致動元件協同運作。這些區段具有向內突出的延伸部,其可與滾輪體凹
部配合,並阻止滾輪本體與端蓋之間的相對轉動。該扭矩係藉著使用固定至該端蓋的一錐環而傳遞至該心軸。該扭矩傳遞作用係透過接觸壓力所達成,而不是摩擦力。此一端蓋的缺點如下:該端蓋係由至少3個塊體(端蓋、螺母、錐環)所製成,所以必須對每個滾輪的兩端,進行特定的緊固作用。此外,該端蓋的厚度是非常重要的,以確保良好的緊固作用。然後該端蓋必須被安裝在爐具壁之外,因而導致該心軸的總長度會更長。
GB-A-2,051,034描述了一種心軸與彈性套管總成,其係藉著裝入無端皮帶而旋轉。該套筒的整個表面係被用來傳遞扭矩,同時需要以銷阻止該心軸的橫向移動。該心軸的長度必須較長以穿過爐壁,因為該套筒必須位於爐壁外側。該套筒的彈性確實不足以容忍顯住的溫度變化。其之安裝是也是很繁瑣的。
研發一種新穎端蓋以解決所述之問題,並具有比EP-B1-1853866與DE-A1-10,2011,084,218所描述之端蓋,在組裝上更簡單、更便宜的優點。由於在此種新穎端蓋組裝在陶瓷心軸期間因端蓋變形所致的彈性,該端蓋可以確實確保從旋轉驅動器至陶瓷心軸之扭矩的有效傳遞。本案發明人已經明確確立,最小傳遞扭矩值是足以在應用中使滾輪旋轉,且依據本發明之總成也可以提供。
由於該端蓋的對稱性,該端蓋與陶瓷心軸的接觸,即使在較高溫度下仍是均勻分佈的。該陶瓷心軸仍與該端蓋維持完全共軸。
此種新穎的端蓋的另一項優點,在於其之厚度較薄。其可以採用僅1至5毫米的厚度。然後該端蓋可以被裝設於爐壁中,而使得該陶瓷心軸僅需較短的長度。

第1圖顯示一種依據本發明之輸送機滾輪總成(1),其包含一陶瓷心軸(2)以及兩個金屬端蓋(3)。如第2圖所示,長度L係代表該端蓋的第二端(5)的長度。第3圖描述了該端蓋的內部視圖。較厚部分(8)係具有導向高起的台面的兩個斜坡的部分。

該端蓋的第二端,具有至少大於0.3 D、較佳至少大於0.5 D之長度(L);D係在接收陶瓷心軸的金屬端蓋之端所測量到的內徑。該端蓋即使是暫時過熱期間,也必須確實地導引心軸,並且必須將心軸與端蓋維持在同軸線上。端蓋長度太短也會降低彈性行為。

該等條帶的形狀係由該等開口之形狀所界定。
該等條帶係向著陶瓷心軸的方向向內延伸。在一實施例中,至少一條帶係具有較厚部分。在一較佳實施例中,所有的條帶都具有較厚部分,以增加所傳遞的扭矩值。藉此,該端蓋的內徑會在局部區域上縮小,使得該等條帶拉緊並增強與該陶瓷心軸的接觸。該較厚部分較佳地位於該等條帶的中間。如上述所解釋的,使該端蓋的尺寸設定較容易進行。此外,對於變形之比例應力也會最佳化。隨著溫度的增加,該端蓋會受熱膨脹而陶瓷心軸的尺寸則未顯著變化。藉此,該端蓋的固定力將會下降,該心軸便會開始在該端蓋內滑動。在溫度恢復正常時,該端蓋將會回到其之「正常」尺寸,並且整體地恢復該固定力,而不會引起偏心旋轉。
依據本發明之輸送機滾輪可以用來輸送物件,薄片或薄板(例如玻璃或金屬的),以進行該薄片或薄板之任何類型的熱處理,或是在其上施加塗層。此輸送機滾特別適用於在承受顯著溫度變化的環境中,輸送平底物件。
該陶瓷心軸(2)通常包含有適合用於高溫應用中之材料,較佳為熔矽石(fused silica)、富鋁紅柱石(mullite)或矽線石(sillimanite)。
本發明也有關一種一體式的金屬端蓋,其係用在承受顯著溫度變化之環境下之輸送機滾輪總成中。該端蓋具有縱向軸線,並包含有連接至旋轉手段之第一

Claims (10)
- 一種一體式金屬端蓋(3),其係使用於輸送機滾輪總成,該輸送機滾輪總係使用於承受顯著溫度變化的環境中,該一體式金屬端蓋(3)具有一縱向軸線且包含第一端(4),其係可連接到旋轉手段;以及第二端(5),其包含具有兩個端之一體式本體、適合裝配於一陶瓷心軸的一端之內部直徑D、以及大於0.3D之長度L,該一體式本體沿著該一體式本體的該縱向軸線包含至少三個連續部分,該一體式本體的兩個端部分包含連續之表面,以及位在這些部分之間的一個扭矩傳遞部分,該扭矩傳遞部分包含複數個開口(6),其等在該縱向軸線方向具有小於L的長度Lb,在該等開口之間界定複數個條帶(7),該等條帶(7)向內延伸,並且在將該一體式金屬端蓋組裝在該陶瓷心軸期間以及在溫度變化的期間可機械地和彈性地變形,以便將一扭矩傳遞至該陶瓷心軸。
