Description

Egg retrieval device and method for raising insects and collecting insect eggs by using it

This case relates to an egg retrieval device and a method for raising insects and collecting insect eggs by using it, especially an egg retrieval device that can prevent the insects from escaping and a method for raising insects and collecting insect eggs by using the same.

Lacewings are natural enemies of many crop pests (such as whiteflies, scale insects, aphids and spider mites, etc.). Therefore, lacewings can be used as a medium for pest control. By feeding the lacewings, obtaining the eggs of the lacewings and distributing them in In the field, to use its predatory larval stage to control pests. The conventional lacewing egg retrieval operation (hereinafter referred to as the egg retrieval operation) of the conventional lacewing terrarium is to pull out the bottom of the terrarium, and use a negative pressure fan to absorb the lacewing on the bottom net so that it cannot move freely. Pick up the net above the terrarium to take out the egg slices from the terrarium. In the process of egg retrieval, the space of the terrarium is open, and the ventilation intensity of the exhaust fan is restricted due to the need to avoid injury to the lacewing closer to the exhaust fan. Therefore, it is almost necessary for lacewings to escape. After the operation of replacing the egg slices is completed, the operator must still catch the escaped lacewing for continued breeding. However, it takes a person with considerable experience to successfully capture the lacewing, and it is also necessary to prevent the lacewing from being injured during the capture process, and beginners cannot quickly get started. Therefore, the entire egg retrieval operation is really inconvenient and has a certain technical threshold.

In addition, in current practice, the distribution method of lacewing eggs is that farmers cut the egg pieces obtained from the breeding box into strips, and then fix the egg pieces one by one (for example, nailing) on the field crops. Therefore, the conventional lacewing egg distribution operation is not only expensive in time, but also heavy in labor.

Therefore, how to overcome the shortcomings of the conventional technology and provide an egg retrieval device that can simplify the egg retrieval and egg distribution operations is a problem that needs to be solved urgently.

The purpose of this case is to provide an egg retrieval device to solve the problem that the lacewing is easy to fly out and get injured during the egg retrieval operation in the conventional breeding box, so as to ensure its health status, improve the efficiency of breeding, and more It is beneficial to cooperate with the automation system and can simplify the follow-up lacewing egg distribution operation.

In order to achieve the above purpose, this case provides an egg retrieval device, which includes a box, a net frame and a cover. The box body includes a first opening and a first accommodating space, wherein the first accommodating space is framed for breeding insects therein. The net frame is stacked on the first opening of the box and includes a net structure. The cover is stacked on the grid and includes a plurality of long grid structures. The long grid structure passes through the mesh structure of the grid frame and is partially accommodated in the first accommodating space of the box body for insects to lay eggs on it.

In order to achieve the above-mentioned purpose, this case also provides a method for raising insects and collecting insect eggs by using the aforementioned egg retrieval device. The steps include: (a) raising the insect in the first accommodating space and waiting for it to lay eggs on the surface of the cover; and (b) pulling the cover with the insect eggs attached from the box And soak in the sodium hypochlorite solution to disperse the insect eggs in the sodium hypochlorite solution.

Please refer to Figure 1 and Figure 2. Figure 1 is a schematic diagram of the structure of the egg retrieval device of the first preferred embodiment of the present invention. Figure 2 is an exploded view of the structure of the egg retrieval device shown in Figure 1. As shown in the figure, the egg retrieval device 1 of this case includes a box body 10, a net frame 20 and a cover body 30. The box body 10 includes a first opening 11 and a first accommodating space 12, wherein the first accommodating space 12 is structured to breed insects therein. The net frame 20 is stacked on the first opening 11 of the box body 10 and includes a net structure 21. The cover 30 is stacked on the grid frame 20 and includes a plurality of long grid structures 31. The long grid structure 31 passes through the mesh structure 21 of the grid frame 20 and is partially accommodated in the first containing space 12 of the box body 10 for insects to lay eggs thereon. The egg retrieval device 1 provided in this case can be used to feed insects with attached eggs and retrieve their eggs. Among them, Neuroptera is preferred, but it is not limited to this. The following only takes the lacewing as an example.

Please refer to Figure 2. In this embodiment, the box body 10 can be, but is not limited to, a rectangular parallelepiped structure, such as a bottom plate and four side plates. The first opening 11 is provided on the top surface of the box body 10 and is connected to the first accommodating space 12 through. The box body 10 further includes a venting hole 13, a containing groove 14 and an injection hole 15. The air-permeable perforations 13 penetrate through at least one side plate of the box body 10 and communicate with the first accommodating space 12. In this embodiment, the ventilation holes 13 are penetrated on the two opposite side panels of the box body 10, but it is not limited to this. The accommodating groove 14 is disposed in the first accommodating space 12, and the injection hole 15 penetrates through the side plate of the box 10 adjacent to the accommodating groove 14 and communicates with the first accommodating space 12. Thereby, water and/or nutrients can be added to the accommodating groove 14 through the injection hole 15 for the lacewing in the first accommodating space 12 to ingest. In this embodiment, the size of the accommodating groove 14 can be changed according to actual needs, and can include a filler (not shown), such as but not limited to cotton. The filler is arranged in the containing tank 14 to prevent the raised lacewing from accidentally falling into, trapped in it and dying.

Please continue to refer to Figure 2. In this embodiment, the shape of the grid 20 roughly corresponds to the first opening 11 of the box body 10, and has a side length not less than the first opening 11 of the box body 10, so that the grid 20 The first opening 11 of the box body 10 can be covered. The side length of the net frame 20 can be 10-50 cm, preferably 20-30 cm, but it is not limited thereto. The net frame 20 and the net structure 21 are an integral structure, which can be, but not limited to, a flat plate perforated. The flat plate can be made of metal, but it is not limited to this. In this embodiment, the mesh structure 21 forms a plurality of grids inside the grid frame 20. The grids are approximately square, and the side length can be 0.2-1.5cm, preferably 0.3-0.6cm, such as 0.5cm. , But not limited to this. It should be emphasized that the net-like structure 21 of the grid frame 20 is used to prevent the bred lacewing from flying out of the first opening 11 of the box body 10 and allows the long grid structure 31 to pass through. Under this condition, the mesh size and shape of the mesh structure 21 can be changed at will.

Please refer to Figure 2 and Figure 3. Figure 3 is a schematic diagram of the structure of the cover and the net frame shown in Figure 1 after being combined. In this embodiment, the long grid structure 31 of the cover 30 is arranged around the periphery of the bottom surface of the cover 30 and extends downward from the bottom surface, and the cross-sectional size of the long grid structure 31 is slightly smaller than the mesh size of the mesh structure 21. So that the long grid structure 31 can penetrate the mesh structure 21 of the grid frame 20 and extend into the first accommodating space 12 of the box body 10. The long grid structure 31 further has a first length h1, which is used to make the long grid structure 31 of the lid 30, when the lid 30, the grid 20, and the box 10 are assembled, can just fit against the first container of the box 10 Set the bottom surface of space 12. Therefore, the first length h1 is approximately equal to the depth of the first accommodating space 12 of the box 10, but it is not limited thereto. In one embodiment, the cover body 30 further includes a long grid structure 31 with a second length h2, which is shortened in accordance with the arrangement of the accommodating groove 14 in the box body 10. Therefore, the first length h1 of the long grid structure 31 and The difference of the second length h2 is approximately equal to or greater than the height of the accommodating groove 14 of the box body 10, and when the cover 30, the grid 20 and the box body 10 are assembled, the long grid structure 31 with the second length h2 is set in Above the containing tank 14.

Please refer to Figures 2 and 3. In this embodiment, the cover 30 further includes a plurality of array protrusions 32, which protrude downward from the bottom surface of the cover 30, and are surrounded by the long grid structure 31 and corresponding to the grid of the grid frame 20 together with the long grid structure 31 The shape of the structure 21 is arranged. The cross-sectional size of the array protrusions 32 is slightly smaller than the mesh size of the mesh structure 21 so that the array protrusions 32 can pass through the mesh structure 21 of the mesh frame 20. Therefore, when the cover body 30, the grid frame 20 and the box body 10 are assembled, the long grid structure 31 and the array protrusions 32 can pass through the mesh structure 21 of the grid frame 20 and be partially contained in the first part of the box body 10. In the accommodating space 12.

Please refer to Figures 1 to 3. The present case further provides a method for raising green lacewings and collecting green lacewing eggs by using the egg retrieval device 1. In this embodiment, the lacewing is reared in the first accommodating space 12 of the egg retrieval device 1. During the process of feeding lacewings, due to the arrangement of the ventilation perforation 13, the accommodating slot 14 and the injection hole 15, the egg retrieval device 1 does not need to be opened to feed the lacewings. Due to grass The lacewing prefers to lay eggs on the top and side surfaces of the space. Therefore, the lacewing will lay eggs on the surface of the array protrusions 32 and the long grid structure 31 located on the top and side surfaces of the first accommodation space 12 respectively. Therefore, only the cover 30 needs to be removed from the box 10 to collect the lacewing eggs. When the cover 30 is removed, the net structure 21 of the grid 20 can prevent the lacewing from flying out, without relying on additional equipment (such as a negative pressure fan) to restrict the movement of the lacewing. In some embodiments, the accommodating groove 14 of the box body 10, the long grid structure 31 of the cover body 30, and the array protrusions 32 are all treated with corners to prevent the lacewings reared in the first accommodating space 12 from being damaged. Caution was injured by touching sharp corners.

In this embodiment, the cover 30 may be made of a magnetic material (for example, iron), which is attracted by the magnet to be drawn away, but it is not limited to this. In some embodiments, the cover 30 may include a grip (not shown) for the operator or a robotic arm to grasp. In this embodiment, after the cover body 30 is pulled out of the box body 10, it is further immersed in sodium hypochlorite solution to disperse the lacewing eggs attached to the long grid structure 31 of the cover body 30 and the convex portion 32 of the array. Sodium hypochlorite solution. In this way, the lacewing eggs can be easily quantified and divided, and the lacewing eggs can be distributed in the field by spraying or other commercially available packaging methods, which greatly simplifies the egg distribution operation.

Please refer to Figure 4. Figure 4 is a schematic diagram of the structure of the egg retrieval device of the second preferred embodiment of the present invention. In this embodiment, the box body 10 of the egg retrieval device 1 further includes a plurality of slit structures 16, and the grid 20 further includes a plurality of short grid structures 22. Wherein, the slot structure 16 is arranged around the periphery of the first opening 11 for positioning the box body 10 and the net frame 20 to each other, but it is not limited to this. In other embodiments, the slit structure 16 is disposed on both sides of the first opening 11. The short grid structure 22 is arranged around the periphery of the grid frame 20, and the grid structure 21 of the grid frame 20 can be formed by winding a grid wire (such as but not limited to nylon wire) between the short grid structure 22. In this embodiment, the grid of the mesh structure 21 is roughly square, but it is not limited to this. To others In the embodiment, the short grid structure 22 is only arranged on the two opposite sides of the grid frame 20, so the grid of the grid structure 21 formed by the wire winding is approximately rectangular.

Please refer to Figure 4 again.
