FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram of a display 100 according to an embodiment of the present application. In different embodiments, the display 100 may be included in different products with display functionality. For example, the display 100 may be included in a wearable device such as a watch, a wristband or glasses, or a handheld electronic device such as a handheld inventory machine or a tablet computer (PAD), or may be embedded in a machine tool. or embedded devices such as human-machine interface consoles for medical equipment, and can also be included in point of sale (POS) terminals, automated teller machines (ATM), self-checkout machines, self-service ordering System products such as display screens for computers or large-scale public information platforms. In some embodiments, the user touches the display 100 with a finger to operate, but the embodiment of the present invention is not limited thereto.

Referring to FIG. 1 , the display 100 includes a display device 110 , a sensing element group 120 and a processing device 130 . The sensing element group 120 is located on the display device 110 . In some embodiments, the sensing element group 120 is arranged on the surface of the display device 110 . The sensing element group 120 is used to generate sensing signals, such as sensing signals S11 to S17 , when triggered (eg, triggered by the touch of a user's finger). The processing device 130 is used for generating corresponding commands (eg, commands CM11 and CM12 ) according to the sensing signals generated by the sensing element group 120 . The display device 110 is used for operating according to the command generated by the processing device 130 , for example, displaying an image corresponding to the command. In some embodiments, the display device 110 may be made of a glass substrate or a plastic substrate, but the embodiments of the present invention are not limited thereto.

S11~S17。As shown in FIG. 1, the sensing element group 120 includes a plurality of sensing elements E11-E17. In some embodiments, each of the sensing elements E11 - E17 is used to generate a corresponding one of the sensing signals S11 - S17 when triggered. In some embodiments, one of the sensing elements E11 ˜ E17 generates a corresponding one of the sensing signals S11 ˜ S17 when the trigger intensity level exceeds the preset intensity level. For example, when the pressure of the fingers touching the sensing elements E11 ˜ E17 has an intensity exceeding the preset pressure intensity level, the sensing signals S11 ˜ S17 are generated.

In some embodiments, each of the sensing elements E11 - E17 corresponds to a unit area on the display device 110 . The processing device 130 is configured to generate an area value corresponding to the area of at least one of the sensing elements E11 to E17 on the display device 110 according to at least one of the sensing signals S11 ˜ S17 , and generate a corresponding command according to the area value.

In some embodiments, the processing device 130 is configured to generate a corresponding area value according to the number of sensing signals. For example, when the six sensing elements E11 ˜ E16 are triggered, the sensing elements E11 ˜ E16 generate corresponding six sensing signals S11 ˜ S16 . The processing device 130 generates area values corresponding to six unit areas according to the six sensing signals S11 - S16 .

In some embodiments, when the area value is greater than or equal to the area value of the preset area ADF, the processing device 130 is configured to generate the command CM11, and when the area value is greater than or equal to the area value of the preset area ADF, the processing device 130 uses to generate command CM12. The following two scenarios are used as examples to illustrate.

AV11。In the first scenario, the sensing elements E11 ˜ E16 are triggered and generate corresponding sensing signals S11 ˜ S16 . As shown in FIG. 1 , the sensing elements E11 - E16 correspond to the area A11 on the display device 110 . The processing device 130 generates an area value AV11 corresponding to the area A11 according to the sensing signals S11 ˜ S16 generated by the sensing elements E11 ˜ E16 .

In the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, the predetermined area ADF is four sensing elements, for example, the areas corresponding to the sensing elements E11-E14. The area value AV11 corresponds to the area of the six sensing elements E11 ˜ E16 on the display device 110 , and the area value AV11 is larger than the area value of the preset area ADF. In some embodiments, the first situation corresponds to a situation in which the user touches the display 100 with a finger pad. In different embodiments, the predetermined area ADF corresponds to a different number of sensing elements.

In the first situation, the processing device 130 generates the command CM11 according to the area value AV11. The display device 110 operates according to the command CM11. In some embodiments, the display device 110 displays an image corresponding to the command CM11 , such as a menu image for operating the display device 110 .

In the second situation, the sensing elements E15 ˜ E17 are triggered and the corresponding sensing signals E15 ˜ E17 are generated. In some embodiments, other sensing elements around sensing elements E15-E17 (eg, sensing elements E13 and E14) are not triggered. As shown in FIG. 1 , the sensing elements E15 - E17 correspond to the area A12 on the display device 110 . The processing device 130 generates an area value AV12 corresponding to the area A12 according to the sensing signals S15 ˜ S17 generated by the sensing elements E15 ˜ E17 . The area value AV12 corresponds to the area of the three sensing elements E15 ˜ E17 on the display device 110 , and the area value AV12 is smaller than the area value of the preset area ADF. In some embodiments, the second situation corresponds to a situation in which the user touches the display 100 with a fingertip.

In the second situation, the processing device 130 generates the command CM12 according to the area value AV12. The display device 110 operates according to the command CM12. In some embodiments, the display device 110 displays an image corresponding to the command CM12, such as the image displayed by the display device 110 before receiving the command CM12. In other words, in some embodiments, the image displayed by the display device 110 remains unchanged according to the command CM12.

In some previous approaches, when the processor receives sensing signals corresponding to different areas, the same instruction will be generated correspondingly. The processor does not generate an area value corresponding to the triggered sensing element. The above method cannot generate different commands corresponding to different areas, so it is impossible to distinguish different situations of touching the display with a fingertip or a fingertip.

Compared with the above method, the embodiment of the present invention generates different commands CM11 and CM12 according to the area A11 and the area A12, so that the display device 110 correspondingly displays different images. In this way, the embodiments of the present invention can provide different functional operations corresponding to different situations in which a fingertip or a finger pad touches the display 100 .

FIG. 2 is a flowchart of a touch control method 200 according to an embodiment of the present application. In some embodiments, the touch method 200 is applied to the display 100 shown in FIG. 1 , but the embodiments of the present invention are not limited thereto. In different embodiments, the touch method 200 can also be applied to other types of touch devices and displays. For the purpose of illustration, the following will use the elements of the display 100 as an example to illustrate the related operations of the touch method 200 .

Referring to FIG. 2, the touch method 200 includes operations S21-S28. In different embodiments, the touch control method provided by the embodiments of the present invention includes a part of operations S21 to S28 or different combinations of operations S21 to S28.

In operation S21, the touch method 200 starts to operate. In some embodiments, the display 100 is in a standby state.

In operation S22, the processing device 130 receives the sensing signals generated by the sensing element group 120, for example, a part or all of the sensing signals S11-S17.

In operation S23, the processing device 130 determines whether the sensing signal is a touch signal. In some embodiments, the processing device 130 determines that the sensing signal is a touch signal when the signal strength of the sensing signal is greater than a predetermined strength. On the contrary, when the signal strength of the sensing signal is less than a predetermined strength, the processing device 130 determines that the sensing signal is noise.

AV11。In operation S23, if the sensing signal is noise, then operation S28 is performed. If the sensing signal includes at least one touch signal, the processing device 130 is used for storing the information of the sensing element corresponding to the touch signal. For example, in the first scenario of the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, the sensing signals S11-S16 are touch signals, and the processing device 130 is used to store the position information and/or the position information corresponding to the sensing elements E11-E16 The corresponding area value AV11.

In operation S24 , the processing device 130 determines whether the sensing signal satisfies the preset condition, and generates a corresponding instruction according to whether the preset condition is met, such as the instruction CM11 or CM12 shown in FIG. 1 . In some embodiments, the preset condition includes whether the area value corresponding to the sensing element generating the sensing signal is greater than the area value of the preset area (eg, the preset area ADF shown in FIG. 1 ). In some embodiments, the preset condition further includes whether the trigger time value corresponding to the time when the sensing element is triggered is greater than a preset time value. Further details about the preset conditions described in operation S24 will be described below with reference to the embodiment of FIG. 3 .

S25。In operation S24, if the sensing signal does not satisfy the preset condition, the processing device 130 performs operation S28 according to the instruction. If the sensing signal satisfies the preset condition, the processing device 130 performs operation S25 according to the instruction.

In operation S25, the processing device 130 controls the display device 110 according to the instruction. In some embodiments, an analog to digital (AD) conversion circuit (not shown) in the display 100 is used to convert the sensing signals and/or commands to control the display device 110 . In various embodiments, the AD conversion circuit is included in the display device 110 , the processing device 130 , or other parts of the display 100 .

CM11。In operation S26, the display device 110 displays the corresponding image according to the instruction generated by the processing device 130. In some embodiments, the display device 110 displays a menu image for the user to operate. In some embodiments, operation S26 corresponds to the command CM11 shown in FIG. 1 .

In operation S27 , the user controls the display 100 according to the image of the display device 110 . In some embodiments, the user touches the display device 110 to operate the menu image displayed by the display device 110 .

CM12。In operation S28, the touch method 200 ends the operation. In some embodiments, the images displayed by the display device 110 in operations S28 and S21 are the same. In some embodiments, operation S28 corresponds to the command CM12 shown in FIG. 1 .

FIG. 3 is an exemplary flowchart of the operation details of the touch control method 200 according to an embodiment of the present application. Referring to FIG. 3 and FIG. 2, operation S24 in the touch method 200 includes operations S31 and S32, but the embodiment of the present invention is not limited thereto. In different embodiments, operation S24 may also include other operations corresponding to different preset conditions.

S28。In operation S31 , the processing device 130 generates a corresponding area value (eg, the area value of the area A11 or A12 shown in FIG. 1 ) according to the sensing signal, and determines whether the area value is greater than or equal to a predetermined area value (eg, a predetermined area value) Area value of ADF). If the area value is greater than or equal to the preset area value, the processing device 130 performs operation S32. If the area value is smaller than the preset area value, the processing device 130 performs operation S28.

S28。In operation S32, the processing device 130 generates a corresponding trigger time value according to the sensing signal. In some embodiments, the trigger time value corresponds to the time when the sensing element generating the sensing signal is triggered, eg, the time when a finger touches the sensing element. In operation S32, the processing device 130 determines whether the trigger time value is greater than or equal to the preset time value. If the trigger time value is greater than or equal to the preset time value, the processing device 130 generates a corresponding instruction and performs operation S25. If the trigger time value is less than the preset time value, the processing device 130 performs operation S28.

430。FIG. 4 is a schematic diagram of a display 400 according to an embodiment of the present invention. The display 400 is an embodiment of the display 100 shown in FIG. 1 . In some embodiments, the configuration of the display 400 is similar to that of the display 100, so some details are not repeated. Referring to FIG. 4 , the display 400 includes a display device 410 , a sensing element group 420 and a processing device 430 respectively corresponding to the display device 110 , the sensing element group 120 and the processing device 130 .

410。As shown in FIG. 4, the sensing element group 420 includes a plurality of sensing elements E411-E417, E421-E427 and E43. Each of the sensing elements E411 ˜ E417 and E421 ˜ E427 is used to generate a corresponding one of the sensing signals S411 ˜ S417 and S421 ˜ S427 when triggered. The sensing element E43 is not activated in the embodiment shown in FIG. 4 . The processing device 430 is used for generating a corresponding command CM41 , CM42 or CM43 according to the sensing signals S411 - S417 and S421 - S427 to control the display device 410 .

CM43。In some embodiments, each of the sensing elements E411 - E417 , E421 - E427 , and E43 corresponds to a unit area on the display device 410 . The processing device 430 is configured to generate a corresponding area value according to at least one of the sensing signals S411 ˜ S417 and S421 ˜ S427 , and generate a corresponding command CM41 , CM42 or CM43 according to the area value.

In some embodiments, when the areas corresponding to the sensing elements are at least two areas separated from each other, the processing device 430 generates at least two area values corresponding to the at least two areas. In some embodiments, the processing device 430 determines whether the two sets of sensing elements correspond to two areas separated from each other according to whether there is at least one unactivated sensing element between the two sets of sensing elements.

A44。For example, the sensing elements E411 to E416 are continuously arranged on the display device 410 . When the sensing elements E411 ˜ E416 are triggered, there is no untriggered sensing element between any two sensing elements E411 ˜ E416 , so the processing device 430 determines that the sensing elements E411 ˜ E416 correspond to a single area A41 . On the contrary, when the sensing elements E415~E417 and E425~E427 are triggered and the sensing elements E414 and E43 are not triggered, the sensing elements E416 and E425 among the sensing elements E415~E417 and E425~E427 are not activated. The triggered sensing elements E414 and E43, therefore, the processing device 430 determines that the sensing elements E415-E417 and E425-E427 correspond to the two separate areas A42 and A44.

In some embodiments, the processing device 430 determines whether the area value of each area is greater than or equal to the predetermined area ADF and generates corresponding commands CM41 , CM42 or CM43 . The third, fourth and fifth scenarios are used as examples to illustrate below.

AV44。In the third scenario, the sensing elements E411 ˜ E416 and E425 ˜ E427 are triggered to generate corresponding sensing signals S411 ˜ S416 and S425 ˜ S427 . There is a non-triggered sensing element E43 between the sensing elements E411 ˜ E416 and E425 ˜ E427 , so the processing device 430 determines that the sensing elements E411 ˜ E416 and E425 ˜ E427 correspond to the two separated areas A41 and A44 . The area A41 corresponds to the area value AV41 of the six sensing elements E411 - E416 , and the area A44 corresponds to the area value AV44 of the three sensing elements E425 - E427 .

CM41。In the third scenario, the processing device 430 determines that the area value AV41 is greater than the area value of the preset area ADF and the area value AV44 is smaller than the area value of the preset area ADF, and generates a corresponding command CM41.

E425~E427。In some embodiments, the third situation corresponds to the user touching the sensing elements E411 ˜ E416 with the finger pads and touching the sensing elements E425 ˜ E427 with the fingertips.

In a further embodiment, the processing device 430 ignores the sensing signals S425 - S427 generated by the fingertip touching, and performs operations according to the sensing signals S411 - S416 generated by the fingertip touching. In this embodiment, the third scenario corresponds to the first scenario described in the embodiment of FIG. 1 , the sensing elements E411 - E416 correspond to the sensing elements E11 - E16 , and the sensing signals S411 - S416 correspond to the sensing signal S11 ~S16, the command CM41 corresponds to the command CM11, and the display device 410 displays an image corresponding to the command CM41.

AV44。In the fourth scenario, the sensing elements E415 ˜ E417 and E425 ˜ E427 are triggered to generate corresponding sensing signals S415 ˜ S417 and S425 ˜ S427 . There are untriggered sensing elements E43 and E414 between the sensing elements E415-E417 and E425-E427, so the processing device 430 determines that the sensing elements E415-E417 and E425-E427 correspond to two separate areas A42 and A44. The area A42 corresponds to the area value AV42 of the three sensing elements E415 - E417 , and the area A44 corresponds to the area value AV44 of the three sensing elements E425 - E427 .

CM42。In the fourth scenario, the processing device 430 determines that each of the area values AV42 and AV44 is smaller than the area value of the preset area ADF, and generates a corresponding command CM42.

In some embodiments, the fourth scenario corresponds to the user touching the sensing elements E415-E417 with a fingertip and touching the sensing elements E425-E427 with another fingertip. In a further embodiment, the command CM42 corresponds to the command CM12 shown in FIG. 1, and the image displayed by the display device 410 remains unchanged according to the command CM42.

AV43。In the fifth scenario, the sensing elements E411 ˜ E416 and E421 ˜ E426 are triggered to generate corresponding sensing signals S411 ˜ S416 and S421 ˜ S426 . There is a non-triggered sensing element E43 between the sensing elements E411 ˜ E416 and E421 ˜ E426 , so the processing device 430 determines that the sensing elements E411 ˜ E416 and E421 ˜ E426 correspond to two separate areas A41 and A43 . The area A41 corresponds to the area value AV41 of the six sensing elements E411 - E416 , and the area A43 corresponds to the area value AV43 of the six sensing elements E421 - E426 .

In the fifth scenario, the processing device 430 determines that each of the area values AV42 and AV44 is greater than the area value of the preset area ADF, and generates a corresponding command CM43. In some embodiments, the image displayed by the display device 410 according to the command CM43 is different from the images corresponding to the commands C41 and C42.

In some embodiments, the fifth situation corresponds to the user touching the sensing elements E411 - E416 with a finger pad and touching the sensing elements E421 - E426 with another finger pad. In the embodiment corresponding to the fifth scenario, the user uses the pulps of two fingers to perform operations different from that of a single finger, but the present invention is not limited to this. In different embodiments, the user operates according to different numbers of fingers, and the processing device 430 generates different commands corresponding to different numbers of fingers.

In some embodiments, the touch method 200 described in FIG. 2 can also be applied to the display 400 . In some embodiments, the touch control method 200 further includes operations corresponding to the above-mentioned operations on the display 400 . The specific details will be described below with reference to the embodiment shown in FIG. 5 .

FIG. 5 is an exemplary flowchart illustrating the operation details of the touch control method 200 according to an embodiment of the present application. Referring to FIG. 5 and FIG. 2, in some embodiments, the operations of the touch control method 200 further include operations S51-S54, but the embodiments of the present invention are not limited thereto. In different embodiments, the touch control method 200 may also include some or a combination of operations S51 to S54.

As shown in FIG. 5, operation S51 is performed after operation S23. In operation S51, the processing device 430 determines that the area corresponding to the triggered sensing element is a single area or a plurality of areas separated from each other according to the sensing signal. In some embodiments, the processing device 430 determines whether the corresponding areas are separated from each other according to whether there is a non-triggered sensing element between two of the triggered sensing elements.

S52。In operation S51 , if the sensing signal corresponds to a single area, then operation S24 shown in FIG. 2 is performed to determine whether the sensing signal satisfies the preset condition. In operation S51, if the sensing signal corresponds to multiple areas, then operation S52 is performed.

S53。In operation S52, the processing device 430 determines whether at least one of the multiple areas satisfies a preset condition, eg, determines whether the area value of at least one of the multiple areas is greater than or equal to the area value of the preset area ADF. If each of the plurality of areas does not satisfy the preset condition, then operation S28 as shown in FIG. 2 is performed subsequently. If at least one of the multiple areas satisfies the preset condition, then operation S53 is performed.

S54。In operation S53, the processing device 430 determines whether at least two of the multiple areas satisfy a preset condition. If only one of the multiple areas satisfies the preset condition, a corresponding command is generated according to the sensing signal of the area, and the operation S25 shown in FIG. 2 is performed according to the command. If two or more of the multiple areas satisfy the preset condition, operation S54 is subsequently performed.

In operation S54 , the processing device 430 generates a corresponding command according to the number of areas satisfying the preset condition (eg, the command CM43 corresponding to two areas is generated as shown in FIG. 4 ), and the display device 410 operates according to the command. In different embodiments, operation S54 provides operations with different functions according to different numbers of fingers contacting the display 400 .

To sum up, in the embodiment of the present invention, the display 100 provides different functions according to the area corresponding to the triggered sensing element. In addition, the display 400 provides operations with different functions according to the number of fingers touching the display 400 .
