Container with covered flaps

The present invention relates to a container that has particular application for use as a consumer product container for long smoking articles. The invention further relates to a corresponding blank for such a container.

Containers for smoking articles and board materials are known in the prior art, for example, from International Patent Application No. WO-A-2009/020383. This international application discloses a smoking container formed from a sheet. The panel includes several panels. The panels are first glued to each other and then cut to make the top lid portion pivotable about the hinge line at the back of the container. Some of the box covers and boxes of the container include attached flaps that are glued to adjacent walls. Due to the manner in which the panels of such containers are constructed, much of the waste occurs due to the adhesion of certain panels to the sides of the major surface regions of the panels.

A similar container is known from GB 714 466 A which additionally has an inner box cover which is pleated into a panel lid to form the top wall of the second lid. The panels are disposed in the panels of the container such that when the open container is viewed from the front, an unsightly gap is displayed at the edge between the front wall of the box and the side walls.

However, when the containers according to the prior art are in the open position, the attached flaps are visible. Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide a container that has a high quality appearance in the open and closed positions. A further object of the present invention is to apply a panel of such a container to minimize waste as a result of improved nesting of larger sheet materials.

In accordance with the present invention, a container is provided that includes a cup and a lid attached to the cup, the container further including a side wall of the box and an adjacent front wall of the box. An attached flap is hung from the side wall of the container and attached to the front wall of the container. Moreover, the flap cover is suspended from the front wall of the box, wherein the flap cover is at least partially pressed against the attached flap. The container further includes an inner cover that depends from the flap cover, wherein the inner cover covers the interior of the container wall and wherein the inner cover at least partially covers the interior of the top wall of the cover.

Usually the edge of the plate is not printed, so it has the color of the plate material. According to the present invention, the structural strength of the container is increased compared to the container without the flap cover, since the attached flap hanging from the first wall is not only attached to the second wall but also covered by the flap cover, so that at least the container The second wall includes at least a double layer of material.
