本文中揭示協定轉換器(PC)的實施例及相關技術。在一些實施例中,PC可接收藉由應用程式功能(AF)傳輸的可延伸標示語言(XML)資料,且可至少部分基於接收到之XML資料產生直徑協定(DP)訊息以供傳輸至策略及計費規則功能(PCRF)。在一些實施例中,PC可自PCRF接收DP訊息,且可至少部分基於接收到之DP訊息產生XML資料以供傳輸至AF。XML資料(藉由PC接收及/或產生)可包括屬性值對(AVP)元素,且AVP元素包括AVP參數元素,該AVP參數元素可包括表示屬性值對(AVP)碼的第一XML元素、表示AVP旗標的第二XML元素,及表示AVP長度的第三XML元素。
本文中所揭示之PC可將XML資料映射至DP訊息(及/或可將DP訊息映射至XML資料)。此情形可使得AF能夠將XML資料而非DP訊息傳輸至PCRF。由於XML協定可為第三方網路應用程式提供者更熟悉的,因此傳輸XML資料而非DP訊息的能力可促進網路應用程式的開發。另外,藉由提供XML資料與DP訊息之間的轉換功能性,本文中所揭示之PC可使得AF能夠傳輸XML資料而不需要PCRF理解XML資料,藉此減少對現有基於DP之PCRF發信號機制的擾亂。

可為請求訊息或回覆訊息(諸如,AARequest或AAAnswer訊息)的DP訊息300可包括標頭302,及一或多個屬性值對(AVP)304。如圖3中所展示,標頭302在前32個位元中可包括版本欄位及訊息長度欄位。標頭302之接下來32個位元可包括數個旗標,諸如請求(R)旗標、可代理(P)旗標、錯誤(E)旗標及潛在重新傳輸訊息(T)旗標。R旗標在被設定時指示DP訊息300為請求(且否則為回覆)。P旗標在被設定時指示DP訊息300可經代理、中繼或重新導向(且否則必須在本端處理)。E旗標在被設定時指示DP訊息300含有協定錯誤。T旗標在被設定時指示鏈路故障接管程序已發生。標頭302亦可包括命令碼欄位、應用程式ID欄位、逐躍ID欄位及端對端ID欄位。
包括於DP訊息300中之一或多個AVP 304可提供額外資料。在一些實施例中,DP訊息300必須包括至少一AVP 304。圖4為根據各種實施例之AVP 400的示意性表示。在一些實施例中,AVP 400可包括於DP訊息300中。AVP400之形式可為習知的,且此處經簡要描述以輔助解釋。
AVP 400可包括標頭402及資料404。如圖4中所展示,AVP 400之前32個位元可為AVP碼欄位。AVP 400之接下來32個位元可包括數個旗標,諸如廠商特定(V)旗標、強

在一些實施例中,由接收邏輯202自AF 102接收的XML資料可包括AVP元素。XML資料之AVP元素可對應於DP訊息之AVP(例如,DP訊息300之AVP 400)。在一些實施例中,轉換邏輯204可將包括於接收到之XML資料之AVP元素中的資料轉換成DP訊息之AVP的分量(以供由提供邏輯206提供至PCRF 106)。

Claims (25)
- 一種協定轉換器(PC),其包含:一或多個通訊介面,其用以接收藉由一應用程式功能(AF)所傳輸之可延伸標示語言(XML)資料,及用以提供一直徑協定(DP)訊息以供傳輸至一策略及計費規則功能(PCRF),該PCRF配置於一直徑範圍內;及轉換邏輯,其用以將該XML資料轉換成該DP訊息,其中,該PC係經組配以在該PCRF所配置之該直徑範圍內操作。
- 如請求項1之PC,其中該等一或多個通訊介面中之一介面用以經由一直徑路由代理(DRA)來提供該DP訊息以供傳輸至該PCRF。

- 一種包括一或多個非暫時性電腦可讀取媒體之媒體,其包含當由一計算裝置之一或多個處理裝置所執行時致使該計算裝置執行以下操作的指令:接收藉由一應用程式功能(AF)所傳輸之可延伸標示語言(XML)資料;以及至少部分基於該XML資料而產生一直徑協定(DP)訊息以供傳輸至配置於一直徑範圍內之一策略及計費規則功能(PCRF);其中該計算裝置經組配以在一公用陸上行動網路(PLMN)內及在該PCRF所配置之該直徑範圍之外部操作,或該計算裝置經組配以在該PCRF所配置之該直徑範圍內操作。

- 如請求項9-12任一項中之一或多個非暫時性電腦可讀 取媒體,其中該計算裝置經組配以在該PLMN內及在該直徑範圍之外部操作。
- 如請求項9-12任一項中之一或多個非暫時性電腦可讀取媒體,其中該計算裝置經組配以在該PCRF所配置之該直徑範圍內操作。
- 一種協定轉換器(PC),其包含:用以接收藉由一應用程式功能(AF)所傳輸之可延伸標示語言(XML)資料之組件;用以將該XML資料轉換成一直徑協定(DP)訊息之組件;以及用以提供該DP訊息以供傳輸至一策略及計費規則功能(PCRF)之組件,該PCRF配置於一直徑範圍內,其中,該PC係經組配以在一公用陸上行動網路(PLMN)內及在該PCRF所配置之該直徑範圍之外部操作,或該PC經組配以在該PCRF所配置之該直徑範圍內操作。
