Description
本發明係有關於藉由將一種或多種高分子量的陽離子聚合物加入於薄膜生物反應器(簡稱為“MBR”)之活性污泥內,以增加供處理工業廢水之MBR之效能。
於MBR方法中,薄膜積垢一直是限制該方法之水力性能的重要問題。由於薄膜積垢,MBR之通量經常下降,且常需要更多薄膜來彌補通量損失。
近來,研究結果(Nagaoka等人,1996,1998;Lee等人,2002)顯示,薄膜積垢主要原因之一是生物聚合物,其包含在MBR之活性污泥中生長之生物體所分泌之多醣及蛋白質。
因此,已開發出使用在與活性污泥接觸時不與帶負電荷之薄膜反應的陽離子聚合物之方法(Collins和Salmen,2004;Collins等人,2005)。在此方法中,將各種聚合物直接加入MBR活性污泥中,與生物聚合物反應。所生成之微粒係由生物聚合物與合成的陽離子聚合物組成,不會積垢於薄膜表面。
儘管這些方法可以成功實施於大多數MBRs中,但已觀測到某些污泥,特別是工業污泥,當使用低分子量水溶性陽離子聚合物時,無法總是能充分地凝結。因此,需要一種更有效凝結工業污泥之方法。
本發明提供一種調節處理工業廢水之MBR中活性污泥之方法,其包括:加入有效量的一種或多種分子量大於約200,000道爾頓之陽離子聚合物於該MBR之活性污泥中。
本發明亦提供一種增進通過處理工業廢水之MBR中薄膜之通量之方法,其包括:加入有效量的一種或多種分子量大於約200,000道爾頓之陽離子聚合物於該MBR之活性污泥中。
本發明還提供一種減少於MBR中發泡之方法,其包括:加入有效量的一種或多種分子量大於約200,000道爾頓之陽離子聚合物於MBR之活性污泥中。
本發明還提供一種減少在該MBR之薄膜上積垢之方法,其包括:加入有效量的一種或多種分子量大於約200,000道爾頓之陽離子聚合物於該MBR之活性污泥中。
術語定義:“MBR”係指薄膜生物反應器。
“混合液”或“活性污泥”係指廢水、用於分解廢水中有機物質之微生物、衍生於細胞物種(cellular species)含有機物材料、細胞副產物及/或廢產物、或細胞碎片的混合物。混合液亦可包含膠狀和微粒狀之物質(即生物質/生物固體物)及/或可溶性分子或生物聚合物(即多醣、蛋白質等)。
“混合液懸浮固體”(簡稱為“MLSS”)係指混合液中處理有機物質之生物量濃度。
“COD”係指化學需氧量。
“調節”係指在混合液中沈澱可溶性生物聚合物與凝結及絮凝微粒狀與膠狀有機物質,以形成更大之微粒聚集體,導致提高通過薄膜生物反應器濾膜的通量並減少薄膜的積垢。
“工業廢水”係指下列種類之一或多種:不考慮其COD,在如食品、化學、製藥、紙漿/造紙、精煉、機械、電子等製造廠產生的廢水;包含懸浮固體作用之平均總COD高於500mg/L;包含氨氮與有機氮之TKN(總凱氏氮,Total Kjeldahl Nitrogen)低於原始廢水中總COD之5%;TP(總磷.Total phosphorous)含量低於COD之1%;垃圾掩埋滲濾液;城市廢水含量低於50%;COD/BOD5
比大於1.5;及導電率大於1000μS/cm。
如在此所使用的,下列縮寫及術語具有下面意義:“DADMAC”係指二烯丙基二甲基氯化銨;DMAEA/MCQ係指丙烯酸二甲胺基乙酯氯甲烷四級鹽;DMAEA/BCQ係指丙烯酸二甲胺基乙酯氯甲苯四級鹽;DMAEM/MCQ係指甲基丙烯酸二甲胺基乙酯氯甲烷四級鹽;以及DMAEM/BCQ係指甲基丙烯酸二甲胺基乙酯氯甲苯四級鹽。
“陽離子聚合物”係指具有總正電荷之聚合物。本發明之陽離子聚合物包含全部由陽離子單體組成之聚合物,及由陽離子與非離子單體組成之聚合物,以及由陽離子與陰離子單體組成之聚合物。陽離子聚合物亦包含環氧氯丙烷與二烷基單胺或聚胺之縮聚物,及二氯化乙烯與氨或甲醛及胺鹽之縮聚物。本發明之陽離子聚合物包含溶液聚合物、乳化聚合物、分散聚合物及結構修飾聚合物,如PCT US01/10867所述。
“陽離子單體”係指具有淨正電荷之單體。代表性的陽離子單體包含丙烯酸及甲基丙烯酸二烷基胺基烷基酯,以及它們的四級鹽或酸鹽,包括但不限於:丙烯酸二甲胺基乙酯氯甲烷四級鹽、丙烯酸二甲胺基乙酯硫酸甲酯四級鹽、丙烯酸二甲胺基乙酯氯甲苯四級鹽、丙烯酸二甲胺基乙酯硫酸鹽、丙烯酸二甲胺基乙酯鹽酸鹽、甲基丙烯酸二甲胺基乙酯氯甲烷四級鹽、甲基丙烯酸二甲胺基乙酯硫酸甲酯四級鹽、甲基丙烯酸二甲胺基乙酯氯甲苯四級鹽、甲基丙烯酸二甲胺基乙酯硫酸鹽、甲基丙烯酸二甲胺基乙酯鹽酸鹽、二烷基胺基烷基丙醯醯胺或甲基丙烯醯胺及它們的四級鹽或酸鹽,如:丙烯醯胺基丙基三甲基氯化銨、二甲胺基丙基丙烯醯胺硫酸甲酯四級鹽、二甲胺基丙基丙烯醯胺硫酸鹽、二甲胺基丙基丙烯醯胺鹽酸鹽、甲基丙烯醯胺基丙基三甲基氯化銨、二甲胺基丙基甲基丙烯醯胺硫酸甲酯四級鹽、二甲胺基丙基甲基丙烯醯胺硫酸鹽、二甲胺基丙基甲基丙烯醯胺鹽酸鹽、丙烯酸二乙胺基乙酯、甲基丙烯酸二乙胺基乙酯、二烯丙基二乙基氯化銨及二烯丙基二甲基氯化銨。烷基通常是C1-4
之烷基。
“非離子單體”係指電中性之單體。代表性的非離子單體包含丙烯醯胺、甲基丙烯醯胺、N-甲基丙烯醯胺、N,N-二甲基(甲基)丙烯醯胺、N,N-二乙基(甲基)丙烯醯胺、N-異丙基(甲基)丙烯醯胺、N-t-丁基(甲基)丙烯醯胺、N-(2)-羥丙基)甲基丙烯醯胺、N-羥甲基丙烯醯胺、N-乙烯基甲醯胺、N-乙烯基乙醯胺、N-乙烯基-N-甲基乙醯胺、(甲基)丙烯酸聚(乙二醇)酯、單(甲基)丙烯酸聚(乙二醇)單甲醚酯(poly(ethylene glycol)monomethylether mono(meth)acrylate)、N-乙烯基-2-吡咯啶酮、單(甲基)丙烯酸甘油酯(glycerol mono(meth)acrylate)、(甲基)丙烯酸-2-羥基乙酯、(甲基)丙烯酸-2-羥基丙酯、乙烯甲基碸(vinyl methylsulfone)、醋酸乙烯酯、(甲基)丙烯酸縮水甘油酯及其類似物。
“陰離子單體”在此定義為在一定的pH範圍內帶有負電荷之單體。代表性的陰離子單體包含:丙烯酸及其鹽包括但不限於:丙烯酸鈉及丙烯酸銨,甲基丙烯酸及其鹽包括但不限於:甲基丙烯酸鈉及甲基丙烯酸銨,2-丙烯醯胺基-2-甲基丙磺酸(AMPS),AMPS之鈉鹽,乙烯基磺酸鈉,苯乙烯磺酸鹽,順丁烯二酸及其鹽包括但不限於:鈉鹽及銨鹽,磺酸鹽,衣康酸鹽,丙烯酸或甲基丙烯酸磺酸丙酯,或其他水溶性形式之這些或其他可聚羧酸或磺酸。磺甲基化丙烯醯胺(sulfomethylated acrylamide)、烯丙基磺酸鹽、乙烯基磺酸鈉、衣康酸、丙烯醯胺基甲基丁酸、反丁烯二酸、乙烯膦酸(vinylphosphonic acid)、乙烯基磺酸、烯丙基膦酸(allylphosphonic acid)、磺甲基化丙烯醯胺、膦羧基甲基化丙烯醯胺(phosphonomethylated acrylamide)及其類似物。
較佳具體實例:如上所述,具有分子量大於約200,000之陽離子聚合物可因包括下列原因被加入至MBR活性污泥中用於工業廢水處理:調節活性污泥;增進通過MBR薄膜之通量;減少MBR中薄膜積垢;及減少MBR中活性污泥發泡。
可加入各種量及種類之陽離子聚合物於活性污泥中。
在一具體實例中,作為活性物(as actives)的陽離子聚合物的有效量為約3至約500mg/L。
在另一具體實例中,陽離子聚合物包含選自由以下者所組成的群組之單體:丙烯酸二甲胺基乙酯氯甲烷四級鹽、丙烯酸二甲胺基乙酯硫酸甲酯四級鹽、丙烯酸二甲胺基乙酯氯甲苯四級鹽、丙烯酸二甲胺基乙酯硫酸鹽、丙烯酸二甲胺基乙酯鹽酸鹽、甲基丙烯酸二甲胺基乙酯氯甲烷四級鹽、甲基丙烯酸二甲胺基乙酯硫酸甲酯四級鹽、甲基丙烯酸二甲胺基乙酯氯甲苯四級鹽、甲基丙烯酸二甲胺基乙酯硫酸鹽、甲基丙烯酸二甲胺基乙酯鹽酸鹽、二烷基胺基烷基丙醯醯胺或甲基丙烯醯胺及其四級鹽或酸鹽,如:丙烯醯胺基丙基三甲基氯化銨、二甲胺基丙基丙烯醯胺硫酸甲酯四級鹽、二甲胺基丙基丙烯醯胺硫酸鹽、二甲胺基丙基丙烯醯胺鹽酸鹽、甲基丙烯醯胺基丙基三甲基氯化銨、二甲胺基丙基甲基丙烯醯胺硫酸甲酯四級鹽、二甲胺基丙基甲基丙烯醯胺硫酸鹽、二甲胺基丙基甲基丙烯醯胺鹽酸鹽、丙烯酸二乙胺基乙酯、甲基丙烯酸二乙胺基乙酯、二烯丙基二乙基氯化銨及二烯丙基二甲基氯化銨。
在另一具體實例中,陽離子聚合物選自由DMAEA/MCQ、DMAEA/BCQ、DMAEM/MCQ、DMAEM/BCQ、以及利用曼尼期反應(mannich reactions)之聚合物組成之群組。
用於處理工業廢水之陽離子聚合物可具有多種陽離子電荷。在一具體實例中,該陽離子聚合物具有以該陽離子聚合物中單體數目為基準計,範圍從約5%至約100%的淨陽離子電荷。
可將有效量的一種或多種二價離子、一種或多種三價離子或其組合添加於MBR之活性污泥中以進一步處理該MBR。該離子可以各種化學形式加入該污泥中。一般地,將這些離子加入至pH約6到約8之活性污泥中。若pH偏離此範圍,可用苛性鈉及/或生石灰將pH調回至該範圍。
在一具體實例中,二價離子選自由Ca及Mg組成之群組。在進一步具體實例中,將該Ca離子以選自由CaCl2
、Ca(OH)2
、Ca(C2

、CaO及其水合物組成之群組之化合物加入。
在另一具體實例中,將該Mg離子以選自由MgCl2

在進一步具體實例中,有效量的二價離子約10至約500mg/l。
在另一具體實例中,三價離子選自由Al及Fe組成之群組。在進一步具體實例中,該有效量的三價離子約50至約1000 mg/l。
可經由各種途徑將陽離子聚合物、二價離子及三價離子加入活性污泥中。
在一具體實例中,藉由添加該陽離子聚合物至進入MBR之進入流(influent stream)中,而將陽離子聚合物加入至該活性污泥中。
在另一具體實例中,藉由添加該陽離子聚合物於該MBR之缺氧槽(anoxic tank),而將聚合物加入該活性污泥中。
在另一具體實例中,藉由添加該陽離子聚合物於該MBR之曝氣槽(aeration tank)或MBR之薄膜槽(membrane tank),而將該陽離子聚合物加入該活性污泥中。薄膜槽係指具有浸沈式薄膜(submerged membrane)及曝氣器(aerator)之槽。曝氣槽具有曝氣器,但槽內不具有薄膜。曝氣槽之MBR具有一外置式薄膜(external membrane)。
二價離子、三價離子或其組合可與陽離子聚合物在同一位置依序或者聯合加入。
關於這些聚合物及離子是如何加入至MBR中之機制,有許多可供一般技藝人士利用的技術;例如,陽離子聚合物係在圓桶(drum)中,其接著被傾入MBR中。
本發明之方法學可應用於具有外置式或浸沈式薄膜之MBR。
MBR可設置成多種方式。如圖1所示,MBR可配備一浸沈式薄膜。進入流(1)進入包含缺氧槽(3)及具有一浸沈式薄膜(5)之曝氣槽/薄膜槽(4)之MBR中。該曝氣槽/薄膜槽具有曝氣器(圖未示)。該薄膜濾出液或流出液(7)離開該薄膜(5)。留存於曝氣/薄膜槽(4)內之活性污泥可以回流以進一步處理(6)。一種或多種陽離子聚合物及/或二價/三價離子(2)可被加入進入流(1)、缺氧槽(3)和曝氣/薄膜槽(4)中。
如圖2所示,MBR可配備一外置式薄膜(5)。進入流(1)進入包含缺氧槽(3)及曝氣槽(4)之MBR中。曝氣槽具有曝氣器(圖未示)。使用污泥循環泵(8)將活性污泥汲取至外置式薄膜(5)。薄膜濾出液或流出液(7)離開薄膜(5)。留存於薄膜槽(4)內之活性污泥可以回流以進一步處理(6)。一種或多種陽離子聚合物和/或二價/三價離子(2)可被加入進入流(1)、缺氧槽(3)和曝氣槽(4)中。

- 一種調節處理工業廢水之MBR中活性污泥之方法,其包括:a.加入有效量的一種或多種分子量大於約200,000道爾頓之陽離子聚合物於該活性污泥中,其中該陽離子聚合物具有以該陽離子聚合物中單體數目為基準計,範圍在約5%至約100%的淨陽離子電荷。

- 如申請專利範圍第1項之方法,其中該陽離子聚合物包含選自由以下者組成的群組之單體:丙烯酸二甲胺基乙酯氯甲烷四級鹽、丙烯酸二甲胺基乙酯硫酸甲酯四級鹽、丙烯酸二甲胺基乙酯氯甲苯四級鹽、丙烯酸二甲胺基乙酯硫酸鹽、丙烯酸二甲胺基乙酯鹽 酸鹽、甲基丙烯酸二甲胺基乙酯氯甲烷四級鹽、甲基丙烯酸二甲胺基乙酯硫酸甲酯四級鹽、甲基丙烯酸二甲胺基乙酯氯甲苯四級鹽、甲基丙烯酸二甲胺基乙酯硫酸鹽、甲基丙烯酸二甲胺基乙酯鹽酸鹽、二烷基胺基烷基丙醯醯胺或甲基丙烯醯胺及其四級鹽或酸鹽,如:丙烯醯胺基丙基三甲基氯化銨、二甲胺基丙基丙烯醯胺硫酸甲酯四級鹽、二甲胺基丙基丙烯醯胺硫酸鹽、二甲胺基丙基丙烯醯胺鹽酸鹽、甲基丙烯醯胺基丙基三甲基氯化銨、二甲胺基丙基甲基丙烯醯胺硫酸甲酯四級鹽、二甲胺基丙基甲基丙烯醯胺硫酸鹽、二甲胺基丙基甲基丙烯醯胺鹽酸鹽、丙烯酸二乙胺基乙酯、甲基丙烯酸二乙胺基乙酯、二烯丙基二乙基氯化銨及二烯丙基二甲基氯化銨。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項之方法,其中該陽離子聚合物選自由DMAEA/MCQ、DMAEA/BCQ、DMAEM/MCQ及DMAEM/BCQ以及利用曼尼期反應(mannich reactions)之聚合物所組成之群組。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項之方法,其中該作為活性物的陽離子聚合物之有效量為約3至約500mg/L。
- 如申請專利範圍第5項之方法,其中該二價離子選自由Ca及Mg組成之群組。
- 如申請專利範圍第5項之方法,其中該三價離子選自由Al及Fe組成之群組。
- 如申請專利範圍第9項之方法,其中該Ca離子以選自由CaCl2 、Ca(OH)2 、Ca(C2 H3 O2 )2 、CaO及其水合物組 成之群組之形式加入至MBR中。
- 如申請專利範圍第5項之方法,其中該有效量的二價離子約10至約500mg/l。
- 如申請專利範圍第5項之方法,其中該有效量的三價離子約50至約1000mg/l。
- 一種增進通過處理工業廢水之薄膜生物反應器中薄膜通量之方法,其係包括:(a)加入有效量的一種或多種分子量大於約200,000道爾頓之陽離子聚合物於該MBR之活性污泥中,其中該陽離子聚合物具有以該陽離子聚合物中單體數目為基準計,範圍在約5%至約100%的淨陽離子電荷。
- 一種減少該MBR中活性污泥發泡之方法,其包括:加入有效量的一種或多種分子量大於約200,000道爾頓之陽離子聚合物於該MBR之活性污泥中,其中該陽離子聚合物具有以該陽離子聚合物中單體數目為基準計,範圍在約5%至約100%的淨陽離子電荷。
- 一種減少該MBR中積垢之方法,其包括:加入有效量的一種或多種分子量大於約200,000道爾頓之陽離子聚合物於MBR之活性污泥中,其中該陽離子聚合物具有以該陽離子聚合物中單體數目為基準計,範圍在約5%至約100%的淨陽離子電荷。
- 如申請專利範圍第9項的方法,其中該Mg離子以選自由MgCl2 、Mg(OH)2 、Mg(C2 H3 O2 )2 、MgSO4 、MgO及其水合物組成之群組之形式加入至該MBR中。
