Description
本發明係關於一種水性種子處理殺蟲及/或殺線蟲組合物及一種包含該組合物之泥漿組合物,其中該等組合物係用於處理植物繁殖物質以保護其使免受有害生物攻擊;關於一種抗有害生物植物繁殖物質;關於一種保護植物繁殖物質之方法;關於一種控制農作物之有害生物的方法;關於特定表面活性化合物於改善所處理的物質之特性的用途;並關於該表面活性化合物在改善除害組合物間之相容性的用途。
以除害組合物處理植物繁殖物質可在植物發育之易受影響的階段提供保護以防土載有害生物。此外,系統性種子處理可提供另一項傳統葉面除害劑應用之選擇。但是,在此項處理後,操作及運送處理過之植物繁殖物質以進行包裝及儲存;此操作及運送經常造成該已處理物彼此輕碰而使該物質所結合的化學物質變成未結合的。該化學物質的釋放經常是以例如在乾燥種子時形成固體粒子之除害劑及其他源自處理組合物之物質的氣載(air-borne)粒子的形式。這使得該已處理物喪失其除害有效性並經由氣載粒子之吸入及致敏性,例如眼刺激性,使工作者暴露在該等有害身體健康之處理操作中。此外,植物繁殖物質之處理經常係在含有除害組合物之混合物的泥漿組合物中進行,而其可能在不同除害組合物之間產生相容困難,即造成凝聚及不均勻度。吾人已注意以具有低pH之除害組合物調配相容泥漿是特別困難的。
因此,調配者係面對下列挑戰:-如何改善該等粒子對植物繁殖物質之黏著力,及-如何提供滿足相容性需求之組合物。
吾人已發現一種包含特定類型之表面活性化合物的除害組合物可在操作該已處理植物繁殖物質(如種子)時意外地降低氣載粒子(通常係指”灰塵”)(較佳除塵力)。進一步而言,已發現該等表面活性化合物可提供在除害組合物(特別是具有較低pH者)間之相容性。
因此,在第一方面,本發明提供一種呈懸浮液形式之水性種子處理殺蟲及/或殺線蟲組合物,其包含:(A)以該組合物之總重量計含量至少為3重量%之至少一種殺蟲劑及/或殺線蟲劑;及(B)至少兩種表面活性化合物,其中(i)至少一種是陰離子性磷酸酯類型之化合物及(ii)至少一種是非離子性烷氧基化酚。
在該第一方面之具體實例中,亦存在一另外的除害劑。
在第二方面中,本發明提供一種包含該第一方面之組合物、液體載劑及視情況選用(i)一或多種(較佳係其他)調配佐劑,(ii)一或多種其他除害組合物,其各包含至少一另外的除害劑,或(i)與(ii)兩者之泥漿組合物(亦指“桶混製劑”或”即可應用物”)。
在該第二方面之較佳具體實例中,該泥漿組合物包含該第一方面之除害組合物、液體載劑、(i)一或多種(較佳係其他)調配佐劑及(ii)一或多種其他除害組合物,其各包含至少一另外的除害劑。
在第三方面,本發明提供一種保護植物繁殖物質(較佳係種子)使免受有害生物,如土棲性有害生物(較佳係線蟲)攻擊之方法,其係將該物質以除害上(較佳係殺線蟲上)有效量之第一方面或第二方面之組合物予以處理,較佳在栽種或播種該種子之前。
因此,本發明亦提供一種控制有害生物(如線蟲)以免危害農作物,特別是選自棉花、大豆及玉米之農作物的方法,其係以除害上(較佳係殺線蟲上)有效量之該第一或第二方面之組合物處理植物繁殖物質(如種子),較佳在栽種或播種種子前。
在第四方面,本發明提供一種抗有害生物植物繁殖物質,包含經除害上(較佳係殺線蟲上)有效量之該第一方面或第二方面的組合物處理,或藉由該第三方面之方法所得到之植物繁殖物質,較佳係種子,如棉花、大豆或玉米種子。
在第五方面,本發明提供一至少兩種表面活性化合物於第一方面或第二方面之組合物中改善已經該組合物處理過的植物繁殖物質(較佳係種子)之除塵性質的用途,其中(i)至少一種是陰離子性磷酸酯類型之化合物及(ii)至少一種是非離子性烷氧基化醇或酚。

現在已發現可將較高濃度之固體(如活性成分)摻入並保存在根據本發明令人滿意的組合物中。因此,在一具體實例中,該除害劑(或活性成分)在該第一方面之組合物中的存在量以該組合物之重量計係約12.5重量%至約60重量%,更特別地係從約30重量%至約55重量%,如40重量%至55重量%;該組合物(亦為已知的調配物)之剩餘部分係包含伴隨一或多種界面活性劑之水及其他視情況選用技術上已知作為調配佐劑之惰性成分,如保護膠體、黏著劑、增稠劑、觸變劑、滲透劑、防腐劑、安定劑、消泡劑、防凍劑、螯合劑、著色劑(如染料或顏料)及聚合物。
在該第二方面之組合物中,該等組分的比例會小於其在該第一方面之組合物中的比例並視正常以較高比例存在之液體載劑(一般為水)的含量而定,且亦視一或多種相同或其他調配佐劑及/或一或多種各包含另外的除害劑之其他除害組合物的存在而定。

一般,該第一方面之組合物係採用懸浮劑(suspension concentrate)(SC)或懸浮劑(flowable suspension concentrate)(FS)劑型。於25℃下BROOKFIELD黏度計中以轉軸3及30rpm的速度測量種子處理用之懸浮劑調配物的黏度時,其黏度一般為300至1200毫帕/秒,如400至800毫帕/秒。以雷射粒度分析儀,如Malvern Mastersizer S測量該懸浮粒子之平均尺寸時,其為0.1至20微米,特別是0.5至5微米,有利的是1至3微米。然而,該第二方面之組合物傾向為前者之稀釋版。

有利的是,在根據該第一方面之組合物中使用兩種表面活性化合物,一種(B)(i)及一種(B)(ii)。
本發明組合物亦可包含至少一種防凍劑。在一具體實例中,該防凍劑的存在量以該第一方面之組合物的重量計係至少約2重量%並高達約25重量%,更特別地從約3至約10重量%。

本發明組合物視情況包含至少一種選自水溶性及水可分散成膜聚合物之聚合物。適合聚合物之平均分子量至少為約7,000至高達約200,000:更特別地至少約10,000至高達約100,000。以該第一方面之組合物的重量計,本發明組合物一般包含約0重量%至約10重量%,較佳係在1重量%至7重量%之範圍內,如2重量%至6重量%之聚合物組合物。如本文所用,”非離子性界面活性劑”係不同於本文所述水可分散及水溶性聚合物之化合物。

另外,該種子塗層亦包含如染料或顏料之著色劑,使觀察者可立刻判定該等種子已經過處理。該著色劑亦有助於指示使用者所塗塗層之均勻度。一般,該著色劑亦懸浮在本發明組合物中。

一般,該第二方面之組合物係如藉由處理繁殖物質的方式用於控制有害生物。在這種情況下,該組合物將包含類型比該第一方面之組合物更多之調配組分,而該第一方面之組合物為一製備該第二方面之組合物之組成分。
本發明組合物可藉慣用方法用於控制植物之有害生物。
根據第一及第二方面之除害組合物係用於處理植物繁殖物質使該繁殖物質在發芽及生長期間受到某程度保護。
據了解,術語”植物繁殖物質”係指植物中所有有生殖力的部分(如種子),其可用於複製後者及有生長力的植物如插條及塊莖(例如,馬鈴薯)。對其可能提及,如種子(嚴格而言)、根、果實、塊莖、球根、根莖、植物部分。亦可能提及可在自土壤中發芽後或冒出後移植之已發芽植物及幼苗。這些幼苗在移植前可藉浸漬進行整體或部分處理而獲得保護。

該第一方面之組合物可以未經稀釋形式或例如經液體載劑稀釋形式用於,例如處理。在經過稀釋的情況下,該等組合物已知為泥漿或桶混製劑並代表一本發明第二方面之實例。可將該第一方面及第二方面之組合物施用在種子上,視處理方法而定,乾燥後在該種子上形成一除害劑薄膜(或敷料dressing)、塗層或片(pellet)。該等方法為技術上所熟知,對於種子,可使用如薄膜塗布或包膠等技術,對於其他繁殖物質,則可使用如浸漬等技術。不消說,可改變該等組合物施用在種子之方法並希望本發明包括任何欲使用之技術。

在該除害劑為,例如阿巴汀的情況下亦可達到保護發育中的植物以防植物寄生線蟲攻擊的目的。阿巴汀可有效地抵抗種類繁多之線蟲害蟲,包括根結線蟲(Meloidogyne)(例如,南方根結線蟲及爪哇根結線蟲)、胞囊線蟲(Heterodera)(例如,大豆胞囊線蟲、甜菜胞囊線蟲、小麥禾穀胞囊線蟲及三葉草胞囊線蟲)、黃金線蟲(Globodera)(例如,黃金線蟲)、穿孔線蟲(Radopholus)(例如,穿孔線蟲)、腎狀線蟲(Rotylenchulus)、根腐線蟲(Pratylenchus)(例如,Pratylenchus neglectans及根腐線蟲)、葉牙線蟲(Aphelenchoides)、螺旋線蟲(Helicotylenchus)、Hoplolaimus、殘根線蟲(Paratrichodorus)及矮化線蟲(Tylenchorhynchus)等物種,特別是根結線蟲。
在阿巴汀以除害劑形式存在的情況下,該第一方面及第二方面之組合物在線蟲的控制方面係特別有效的。
視情況而定,除了害蟲的控制,本發明組合物有利地與殺菌劑一起調配用於種子處理應用以防止土壤病害,其中該病害大部分係發生在植物發育初期。例如,該等組合物可針對目標病源體,包括腐霉菌、腥黑粉菌、雪霉葉枯、殼針胞、黑穗菌、鐮胞菌、絲核菌(所謂”猝倒錯合物”);卵菌綱如疫霉屬、單軸霉屬、假霜霉屬、盤梗霉屬等以及抵抗灰霉菌種、核腔菌屬、鏈核盤菌屬和其他子囊菌綱、不完全菌綱及擔子菌綱之代表物進行調配。
適合的目標作物特別是馬鈴薯、穀類(小麥、大麥、裸麥、燕麥)、米、玉米、甜菜、棉花、雜糧類、高梁、煙草、向日葵、豆類、豌豆、油植物(蕓苔、油菜)、大豆、甘藍、蕃茄、茄子(茄子)、青椒及其他蔬菜和物種以及觀賞灌木及花卉。
適合的目標作物亦包括上述種類之基因轉殖作物。根據本發明所用之基因轉殖作物是藉由重組DNA技術以下列方式轉化而成之植物或其繁殖物質:其係-例如-如已知,例如可從製造毒素之無脊椎動物,特別是節肢動物門之無脊椎動物選擇性合成發揮作用的毒素,就如可從蘇雲金芽孢桿菌株獲得般;或如已知可從植物,如凝集素選擇性合成發揮作用的毒素;或者可表達除草劑或殺菌劑抵抗力。此類毒素或可合成此類毒素之基因轉殖植物之實例已揭示於,例如EP-A-0 374 753、WO 93/07278、WO 95/34656、EP-A-0 427 529及EP-A-451 878中並將其以引用方式併入本發明申請案中。
該等組合物係適合塗敷應用在植物繁殖物質上。後一項係涵蓋所有種類(果實、塊莖、穀物)之種子、插條、一段苗芽及類似物。較佳應用領域為所有種類之種子(如上目標作物所說明般)的處理,特別是油菜、玉米、穀類、棉花、蕃茄、煙草、大豆、其他豆類和其他蔬菜及易害病之農作物的種子處理,特佳係棉花、玉米及大豆作物種子之處理。
如上所指,本發明組合物可在種子處理劑槽中進行調配或混合或藉其他製片材料及/或種子處理劑外覆結合於種子上。欲與本發明組合物混合之試劑可用於有害生物之控制、營養及植物病害之控制。
該組合物具有特定應用可同時或依序進行種子處理。
若是在室溫下進行處理,經本發明組合物處理過之種子的乾燥時間一般係在20至60秒範圍內。一般而言,對於蔬菜種子可使用噴霧乾燥技術。
應用根據本發明組合物之較佳方法包括以液體製劑噴霧或潤濕植物繁殖物質或混合該植物與該液體製劑。而且,在施用前,本發明組合物可在週遭溫度下藉由簡單混合以水稀釋以製備一農場(on-farm)種子處理調配物。
對於低價農作物,如穀類,調配物可以每100公斤種子範圍從200毫升至3公升,更特別地從400毫升至2公升之施用體積施用。對於蔬菜作物的種子,施用量傾向較高。
該組合物之有利特點係在於其提供較高粒子(特別是氣載粒子)對種子之黏著力,使塵量降低並因此消除相關灰塵問題。消除許多種子處理相關之灰塵問題亦可消除對這些操作已處理種子者,如植物加工人員、卡車司機、倉庫工作者及農夫之相關健康危害。本發明組合物亦可提供繁殖物質令人滿意之流動性及獨特性(即使繁殖物質容易操作且不會彼此黏在一起)。
本發明另一項優點是藉由不干擾種子發芽及抽條,但可保護該種子及所得幼苗以防有害生物(特別是土載有害生物)之無塵種子處理均勻塗布種子。
由經濟及環境兩方面的觀點來看,根據本發明組合物直接應用在種子、種子碎片或裸根浸漬處理上以保護早育(early season)農作物具有數項獨特優點。較佳在栽種或播種之前,藉由除害劑,例如殺線蟲劑(以阿巴汀為例)處理種子、種子碎片或裸根時,除害劑係集中在有害生物(如線蟲)的位置,攻擊之並因此使每英畝所需之活性成分量係遠低於慣用土壤應用時。這不僅使有害生物控制更為經濟,並且可將環境干擾及任何不利之非目標作用降至最低。
如本發明申請案中所用,本發明特點之具體實例係彼此獨立的,除非另外說明。
以說明方式,但非限制本發明之方式提供下列實例。
調配物實例A、B、1及2係藉混合一或多種界面活性劑、增稠劑、聚合物(若存在的話)、懸浮助劑(若存在的話)、消泡劑、防腐劑及防凍劑與水直到獲得均勻相為止的方式製得。接著,加入阿巴汀並混合之。然後經由所謂球磨機(例如Dyno,Drais,Premier)濕研磨所得混合物。以使所得碎預混物之平均粒徑在規格範圍(通常中間粒徑平均最大為2.0微米)內的方式設定研磨參數。最後,加入緩衝液(若存在的話)及少量水並混合最終產物至少30分鐘。表1指示其組成細節並省略消泡劑、防腐劑、增稠劑及水。
除害調配物實例A、B、1及2各與pH為約5.5之殺蟲劑調配物(X)混合以形成泥漿組合物並觀察其相容性。發現實例1及2可提供比實例A及B更好的相容性(即較少凝聚且均勻度較佳)。
該等組合物在種子上之處理速率係使等量固體物質(如活性成分及著色劑)施用在種子上。
不含阿巴汀之組合物:藉由Hege種子處理裝置將包含殺蟲劑調配物(X)、含有碳酸鈣、殺真菌劑除害調配物及著色劑之組合物(Y)、聚合物(Z)和水之泥漿組合物處理至棉花種子上。
不含聚合物:除害調配物實例A、B、1及2各與殺蟲劑調配物(X)及水混合並藉由Hege種子處理裝置處理至棉花種子上,其中該棉花種子係已經過含有碳酸鈣、殺真菌劑除害調配物及著色劑之組合物(Y)的處理。
藉將已處理種子置於具有隆起物之鋼桶中以進行已處理種子之除塵量的測量,其中在該桶旋轉時,桶中隆起物將促進種子之操作及運送。精確氣流控制系統提供一固定空氣流以攜帶氣載粒子通過粗過濾分離器至過濾器上。藉稱量該過濾器的重量以測量灰塵量。”除塵”測量的數據係列於表2中。
該數據清楚顯示經包含組合表面活性化合物(調配物1及2)之組合物處理過的種子相較於包含調配物A及B之組合物可提供較少氣載粒子,即較佳除塵力。此外並驚訝由包含調配物1及2之組合物量得之灰塵量係低於經不含阿巴汀之組合物處理過的種子,即具有較少固體含量之組合物在種子上)。
Claims (15)
- 一種呈懸浮液形式之水性種子處理殺線蟲組合物,其包含:(A)以該組合物之總重量計含量至少為3重量%之阿巴汀(abamectin);及(B)至少兩種表面活性化合物,其中(i)至少一種是陰離子性磷酸酯類型之化合物及(ii)至少一種是非離子性烷氧基化酚。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項之組合物,其中該(B)(i)表面活性化合物的分子量係小於2200。
- 如申請專利範圍第2項之組合物,其中該(B)(i)表面活性化合物的分子量係小於1700。
- 如申請專利範圍第2項之組合物,其中該(B)(i)表面活性化合物的分子量係在400至1500之範圍內。
- 如申請專利範圍第2項之組合物,其中該(B)(i)表面活性化合物的分子量係在600至1200之範圍內。
- 如申請專利範圍第1至5項中任一項之組合物,其中該(B)(ii)表面活性化合物的分子量係小於2200。
- 如申請專利範圍第6項之組合物,其中該(B)(ii)表面活性化合物的分子量係小於1700。
- 如申請專利範圍第6項之組合物,其中該(B)(ii)表面活性化合物的分子量係在400至1500之範圍內。
- 如申請專利範圍第6項之組合物,其中該(B)(ii)表面活性化合物的分子量係在600至1200之範圍內。
- 如申請專利範圍第1至5項中任一項之組合物,其中該組合物為一懸浮組合物。
- 一種泥漿組合物,其包含如申請專利範圍第1至10項中任一項所定義之組合物、液體載劑及視情況選用(i)一或多種調配佐劑,(ii)一或多種其他除害組合物,其各包含至少一另外的除害劑,或(i)與(ii)兩者。
- 如申請專利範圍第11項之泥漿組合物,其中一或多種除害組合物(ii)具有小於7的pH。
- 一種保護植物繁殖物質使免受有害生物攻擊之方法,係以除害上有效量之如申請專利範圍第1至11項中任一項之組合物處理該物質。
- 一種如申請專利範圍第1至10項中任一項之呈懸浮液形式之水性種子處理殺線蟲組合物的用途,其係用於改善已經該組合物處理過的植物繁殖物質之除塵性質。
- 一種如申請專利範圍第1至10項中任一項之呈懸浮液形式之水性種子處理殺線蟲組合物的用途,其係用於改善pH小於7之第一除害組合物與第二除害組合物之相容性,而且該呈懸浮液形式之水性種子處理殺線蟲組合物係存在於(I)包含該第一及第二除害組合物之泥漿組合物,或(II)該第二除害組合物中。
