目前,網球可被分為兩種類型:加壓網球及無壓網球。加壓網球由於有較好的比賽舒適性(人類關節上之較少振動及張力)而受到青睞。然而,加壓網球會隨時間而損失其壓力且因此損失其性質。另一方面,無壓網球會將其性質保持較長時間,但不會提供相同之舒適性。
網球包含覆蓋有紡織材料(通常為羊毛與耐綸之混合物)之中空內部橡膠核心。內部核心係由成形橡膠藉由黏著劑而接合在一起以形成單一核心的兩個半殼式部件建構。紡織材料之兩個啞鈴形部件藉由黏著劑而附著至網球核心以向網球賦予其經典外觀。使紡織材料之厚度及密度匹配於網球經設計所針對之球場類型。加壓網球係藉由在高於周圍壓力之壓力下利用空氣或其他氣體來填充核心而製成;無壓網球係由較硬且較厚之核心製成。對於加壓網球以及無壓網球而言,內部核心通常係由含有添加劑之橡膠製成。
當可組合加壓網球與無壓網球之各種良好性質時,將為一優勢。
令人驚奇的是,吾人已發現一種新型網球,其提供與傳統加壓網球相同之舒適性,且其性質可維持與無壓網球至少一樣長之時間,其易於製造,且具有與傳統網球完全相同之外觀。
因此,本發明係關於一種網球,其包含一具有球形及250-800 kg/m3
之密度之彈性體聚胺酯發泡體,該發泡體上覆蓋有一紡織材料,且該發泡體乃藉由使芳族聚異氰酸酯與多元醇反應且使用起泡劑而製成其多元醇中至少60重量%係具有至多0.03 meq/g之不飽和量之多元醇。
用以製造根據本發明之網球之方法包含:將芳族聚異氰酸酯、多元醇(其中至少60重量%係具有至多0.03 meq/g之不飽和量之多元醇)及起泡劑放入一球形鑄模中,且允許此等成份形成聚胺酯發泡體而製造一球形彈性體聚胺酯發泡體;自該鑄模移除該發泡體;及利用一紡織材料來覆蓋該發泡體。
該網球較佳具有下列其他特性:-網球之重量:50-70 g,且較佳為55-60 g,-網球之密度:230-540 kg/m3
,-網球之直徑:6-8 cm,-網球之回跳(在254 cm之自由下落之後):110-160 cm,且較佳為120-150 cm,-0.4-0.8 cm(向前)及0.5-1.2 cm(返回)的網球之壓縮負載偏轉(CLD)。在8.2 kg之負載下且在具有至多0.076 cm之變化的3個軸上,使用如GBP 230250中所揭示之Percey Herbert Stevens設備或由國際網球聯合會所認可之類似設備來量測CLD,-紡織材料之厚度:0.5-5 mm,-紡織材料之密度:150-250 kg/m3
。
最佳地,該網球具有所有此等特性之組合。
國際網球聯合會需要134.6-147.3 cm(53-58英吋)之回跳、0.5-0.6 cm之CLD向前及0.67-0.91 cm之CLD返回。
用於測試之通用程序:在測試網球之前,應連續在彼此呈直角之三個直徑中之每一者上將網球穩定地壓縮大約1英吋(2.54 cm);此過程應被進行三次(總共九次壓縮)。所有測試應在2小時之預壓縮內完成。除非另有指定,否則所有測試應在大約華氏68度(攝氏20度)之溫度、大約60%之相對濕度及(除非另有指定)大約30英吋之Hg(102 kPa)下進行。應在測試之前且在測試開始時將所有網球保持於此溫度及此濕度下達24小時。
在過去已揭示了發泡體在網球中之使用;引起關注之技術為US 5413331、US 2005/014854、EP 1148085、KR 2001/002975、EP 10645、GB 2008954、NL 9201353、DE 3131705、GB 2001538、GB 910701、EP 1344555、DE 2911430及WO 03/41813。
然而,尚未揭示當前所主張之網球。
在本發明之內容中,下列術語具有下列意義:1)異氰酸酯指數或NCO指數或指數:存在於一調配物中之NCO基團與異氰酸酯反應性氫原子之比率,給定為一百分比:[NCO]x100 (%)。
[活性氫]換言之,NCO指數表達實際上用於一調配物中之異氰酸酯相對於理論上被需要用以與用於一調配物中之異氰酸酯反應性氫量反應之異氰酸酯量的百分比。
應觀測到,自製備涉及異氰酸酯成份及異氰酸酯反應性成份之彈性體之實際聚合製程的觀點而考慮本文中所使用之異氰酸酯指數。在異氰酸酯指數之計算中不考慮在初步步驟中所消耗用以產生改質聚異氰酸酯之任何異氰酸酯基團(包括在此項技術中被稱為預聚物之此等異氰酸酯衍生物)或在初步步驟中所消耗(例如,與異氰酸酯反應以產生改質多元醇)之任何活性氫。僅考慮存在於實際聚合階段處之自由異氰酸酯基團及自由異氰酸酯反應性氫(包括水中之氫)。
2)本文中為了計算異氰酸酯指數之目的而使用之表達"異氰酸酯反應性氫原子"係指存在於反應性組合物中之羥基及胺基中之活性氫原子的總數;此意謂:為了計算實際聚合製程處之異氰酸酯指數之目的,一羥基被認為包含一反應性氫,一第一胺基被認為包含一反應性氫,且一水分子被認為包含兩個活性氫。
3)反應系統:組份之組合,其中將聚異氰酸酯與異氰酸酯反應性組份分離而保持於一或多個容器中。
4)本文中所使用之表達"彈性體聚胺酯材料或發泡體"係指如藉由使用發泡劑而使聚異氰酸酯與含有異氰酸酯反應性氫之化合物反應所獲取的產物,且特別包括在水作為反應性發泡劑之情況下(涉及水與異氰酸酯基團之反應,此得到脲鍵聯及二氧化碳且產生聚脲-胺基甲酸酯發泡體)而獲取之細胞狀產物。

7)"密度"係根據DIN 53420來量測且為成形密度,除非另有指定。
8)多元醇之不飽和性係根據ASTM D4671-05來量測。
9)"具有球形之聚胺酯發泡體"係指完全由聚胺酯發泡體(其較佳為一發泡體部件)組成之網球。
彈性體聚胺酯發泡體係藉由使聚異氰酸酯(其較佳選自芳族聚異氰酸酯)與多元醇反應且使用起泡劑來製備。
聚異氰酸酯較佳選自芳族聚異氰酸酯,諸如,二異氰酸甲苯酯、二異氰酸萘及較佳為二異氰酸二苯基甲烷(MDI)、具有3或3以上之異氰酸酯官能度的MDI與其同系物之混合物(該等混合物被廣泛地稱為粗MDI或聚合MDI),及此等聚異氰酸酯之異氰酸酯封端變異體(此等變異體含有胺基甲酸酯、脲幷亞胺、碳化二醯亞胺、脲、脲基甲酸酯及/或縮二脲基團)。亦可使用此等聚異氰酸酯之混合物。
最佳地,聚異氰酸酯選自1)包含至少40重量%、較佳為至少60重量%且最佳為至少85重量%之4,4'-二異氰酸二苯基甲烷的二異氰酸二苯基甲烷,及此二異氰酸二苯基甲烷之下列較佳變異體:2)聚異氰酸酯1)之碳化二醯亞胺及/或脲幷亞胺改質變異體,該變異體具有20重量%或更多之NCO值;3)聚異氰酸酯1)之胺基甲酸酯改質變異體,該變異體具有20重量%或更多之NCO值,且為過量聚異氰酸酯1)與具有2-4之平均標稱羥基官能度及小於1000之平均分子量之多元醇的反應產物;4)具有10重量%或更多且較佳為15重量%或更多之NCO值且為過量的任何前述聚異氰酸酯1-3)與具有2-6之平均標稱官能度、1000-12000之平均分子量及較佳為15 mg至60 mg KOH/g的羥基值之多元醇之反應產物的預聚物;及5)任何前述聚異氰酸酯之混合物。
聚異氰酸酯1)包含至少40重量%之4,4'-MDI。此等聚異氰酸酯在此項技術中為已知的且包括純4,4'-MDI及4,4'-MDI與高達60重量%之2,4'-MDI及2,2'-MDI的異構混合物。應注意,2,2'-MDI在異構混合物中之量應處於雜質含量,且一般而言將不超過2重量%,剩餘物為2,4'-MDI及4,4'-MDI。如此等之聚異氰酸酯在此項技術中為已知的且為市售的;例如,為Huntsman International LLC(其擁有Suprasec商標)之商業的購自Huntsman Polyurethanes的SuprasecTM
MPR。
上述聚異氰酸酯1)之碳化二醯亞胺及/或脲幷亞胺改質變異體在此項技術中亦為已知的且為市售的;例如,購自Huntsman Polyurethanes的Suprasec 2020。
上述聚異氰酸酯1)之胺基甲酸酯改質變異體在此項技術中亦為已知的,見(例如)G.Woods的ICI Polyurethanes Book之1990年第2版第32-35頁。
具有10重量%或更多之NCO值的聚異氰酸酯之前述預聚物在此項技術中亦為已知的。較佳地,用以製造此等預聚物之多元醇選自聚酯多元醇及聚醚多元醇。
亦可使用前述聚異氰酸酯之混合物,見(例如)G.Woods的ICI Polyurethanes Book之1990年第2版第32-35頁。此市售之聚異氰酸酯之實例為購自Huntsman Polyurethanes的Suprasec 2021。
所使用之多元醇為包含至少60重量%且較佳為至少80重量%且最佳為100重量%(全部係以多元醇之重量來計算)的具有至多0.03 meq/g之不飽和量之多元醇;較佳地,此量為至多0.01 meq/g。剩餘的至多40重量%且較佳為至多20重量%之多元醇可選自具有較高不飽和量之多元醇。該等多元醇較佳具有2-4之平均標稱官能度及1000-8000且較佳為1000-7000之平均分子量。具有至多0.03 meq/g且較佳為至多0.01 meq/g之不飽和量的較佳多元醇為具有50-90重量%(以多元醇之重量來計算)之氧乙烯含量及上述官能度及分子量的聚氧乙烯聚環氧丙烷多元醇。此等多元醇在此項技術中亦為已知的。實例為皆購自Huntsman的Daltocel F442、F444及F555(Daltocel為Huntsman International LLC之商標)。
根據本發明之網球為包含具有球形及250-800kg/m3
之密度之彈性體聚胺酯發泡體的網球,該發泡體被覆蓋有紡織材料,該發泡體已藉由使芳族聚異氰酸酯與包含至少60重量%(以多元醇之重量計)的具有至多0.03meq/g之不飽和量之多元醇的多元醇反應且使用水作為起泡劑而被製備。
在製造彈性體發泡體時將使用起泡劑。應以使得獲取250-800kg/m3
之密度的量來使用起泡劑。此量可視所使用之起泡劑之類型而改變。熟習此項技術者應能夠根據本描述及所選擇之起泡劑來判定該量。起泡劑可選自物理起泡劑(諸如,氯氟碳化物(CFC)及氫氯氟碳化物(HCFC))及化學起泡劑(諸如,重氮二碳醯胺及水)。亦可使用起泡劑之混合物。水為最佳的,且較佳以0.1-1.0重量%(以多元醇之量來計算)之量來使用。
較佳地,在製備彈性體聚胺酯發泡體時,使用異氰酸酯反應性增鏈劑及觸媒。
異氰酸酯反應性增鏈劑可選自胺、胺基醇及多元醇;較佳使用多元醇。另外,增鏈劑可為芳族、環脂族、芳脂族及脂肪族;較佳使用脂肪族增鏈劑。增鏈劑具有小於1000且較佳為62-800之分子量。最佳的為具有62-800之分子量的脂族二醇,諸如,乙二醇、1,3-丙二醇、2-甲基-1,3-丙二醇、1,4-丁二醇、1,5-戊二醇、1,6-己二醇、1,2-丙二醇、1,3-丁二醇、2,3-丁二醇、1,3-戊二醇、1,2-己二醇、3-甲基戊-1,5-二醇、2,2-二甲基-1,3-丙二醇、二甘醇、二丙二醇及三丙二醇、其丙氧基化及/或乙氧基化產物,及此等增鏈劑之混合物。增鏈劑之量(若被使用)為以多元醇之量來計算的1-20重量%。
所使用之觸媒為增強胺基甲酸酯鍵之形成的觸媒,諸如,錫觸媒(諸如,辛酸錫及二月桂酸二丁基錫)、第三胺觸媒(諸如,三伸乙基二胺)、咪唑(諸如,二甲基咪唑)、酯(諸如,順丁烯二酸酯及醋酸酯),及鹼金屬或鹼土金屬羧酸鹽(諸如,鉀鹽及鈉鹽,尤其是鉀鹽)。實例為乙酸鉀、己酸鉀、2-乙基已酸鉀及辛酸鉀。必要時,可使用觸媒之混合物。觸媒之量的範圍通常將為每100重量份之反應物的0.1-10重量份,較佳為0.2-5重量份。
除了上述成份之外,通常用以製造彈性體之添加劑及助劑可用作可選成份;實例為交聯劑(亦即,具有3-8之平均標稱官能度及小於1000且較佳小於800之平均分子量的異氰酸酯反應性化合物)、界面活性劑、阻燃劑、煙霧抑制劑、UV穩定劑、著色劑、微生物抑制劑、填充劑、內模脫模劑及外模脫模劑。
用以製備發泡體之反應在80-120且較佳為90-110且最佳為94-106之NCO指數下進行。
彈性體可根據一次通過式製程、半預聚物製程或預聚物製程來製造。
成形製程可根據反應射出成形製程、澆鑄成形製程、旋轉成形及其他已知成形製程來進行。
可將該等成份獨立地饋入至鑄模中。或者,將除了聚異氰酸酯之外的一或多種成份預混合且隨後饋入至鑄模中。內嵌摻合及衝擊混合可用於製備製程中。一旦已將該等成份組合及混合且饋入至鑄模中,即允許其反應。成份及鑄模之溫度可自周圍溫度至100℃變化。反應時間可在較寬範圍(例如,自1分鐘至20小時,且較佳自2分鐘至10小時)之間變化;然後,可使彈性體脫模。可使用任一類型之鑄模,諸如,金屬鑄模、矽樹脂鑄模及環氧樹脂鑄模。應用於該製程中之過充填(over-pack)可自120%至500%變化;過充填被定義為成形密度乘100%除以自由起發密度。
在脫模之後,較佳地,後固化所獲取之彈性體。後固化可在較寬範圍之間(諸如,在1/2小時至6個月之間)且在室溫至100℃之間的溫度下變化。溫度愈高,則後固化時間愈短。
隨後,利用紡織材料來覆蓋彈性體。可使用任一紡織材料;其可為編織及/或非編織的;及合成及/或非合成的。較佳地,此為通常用以製造網球之紡織材料,例如,羊毛與合成纖維(例如,耐綸)之混合物。有用之紡織材料為市售之Melton紡織材料及Needle紡織材料,及其他毛氈狀材料。紡織材料之顏色可為任一顏色。較佳地,紡織材料具有通常所使用之顏色;亦即,白色或黃色。可以任一方式來應用紡織材料。較佳地,以通常方式來應用紡織材料;亦即,藉由將在相反側上塗佈有黏著劑之兩種啞鈴形坯料黏附於彈性體網球之表面上。該兩種啞鈴形坯料較佳具有相同形狀及相同尺寸;合計地,此等兩種坯料之尺寸約等於網球之表面積。將兩個部件黏附至網球可藉由黏著劑來進行。可使用任一適合黏著劑。較佳以無針腳方式(例如,藉由黏著劑而將坯料之邊緣彼此黏貼)而較佳將兩種坯料彼此連接。
藉由以下實例來說明本發明。
藉由組合及混合84.05重量份(pbw)之Daltocel F555、14 pbw之1,4-丁二醇、1 pbw之Dabco 25S(來自Air Products之觸媒)、0.6 pbw之JeffcatTM
ZF-22(來自Huntsman之觸媒)及0.35 pbw之水來製造多元醇混合物。以指數94經由一混合頭而將此多元醇混合物及購自Huntsman之Suprasec 2433聚異氰酸酯饋入至一鑄模中。該鑄模為由各自具有半球形空腔之兩個部分組成的鋁鑄模。兩個空腔均被噴塗有外模脫模劑(Acmosil 36-4536)。當將兩個部分閉合時,其一起形成一具有6.25 cm之直徑的球體空腔。藉由夾緊力而將兩個部分固持在一起。鑄模溫度為70℃。過充填為154%。當已給予該混合物7分鐘來反應時,一彈性體聚胺酯發泡體經脫模成具有一球體形式。隨後,在80℃之烘箱中固化網球達1小時,且接著,將其置於周圍條件下達6週。
著,將毛氈(厚度為0.25 cm)之兩個啞鈴形部件(相同形狀及尺寸)黏附(使用黏著劑)於網球之表面上。合計地,兩個部件之表面與網球之表面相同。毛氈與黏著劑均為傳統上用以製造網球之材料。在黏附兩個部件之後的1天後,所獲取之網球具有下列性質。
Claims (8)
- 一種網球,其包含一成為球形及具有250-800kg/m3 之密度之彈性體聚胺酯發泡體,該發泡體上覆蓋有一紡織材料,且該發泡體乃藉由使一芳族聚異氰酸酯與一多元醇反應且使用一起泡劑而製成,其多元醇中至少60重量%係具有至多0.03meq/g不飽和量之多元醇,其中該網球具有下列特性:回跳(在254cm之自由下落之後):110-160cm;及壓縮負載偏轉(CLD):0.4-0.8cm(向前)及0.5-1.2cm(返回)。
- 如請求項1之網球,其中具有至多0.03meq/g之不飽和量之該多元醇為具有50-90重量%之氧乙烯含量的聚氧乙烯聚環氧丙烷多元醇。
- 如請求項2之網球,其中該多元醇具有2-4之平均標稱官能度及1000-8000之平均分子量。
- 如請求項1至3中任一項之網球,其中該發泡體乃已使用水作為起泡劑而被製備。
- 一種用以製備如請求項1至4中任一項之網球之方法,包含:藉由將一芳族聚異氰酸酯、一多元醇(其中至少60重量%係具有至多0.03meq/g之不飽和量之多元醇)及一起泡劑放入球形鑄模中,且藉由允許此等成份形成一彈性體聚胺酯發泡體而製造該球形彈性體聚胺酯發泡體;自該鑄模移除該發泡體;及利用一紡織材料來覆蓋該發泡體。
- 如請求項5之方法,其中具有至多0.03meq/g之不飽和量之該多元醇為具有50-90重量%之氧乙烯含量的聚氧乙烯聚環氧丙烷多元醇。
- 如請求項6之方法,其中該多元醇具有2-4之平均標稱官能度及1000-8000之平均分子量。
