Description

根據上述及其他目的,本發明提供用於與不存在該等胺基聚矽氧聚合物之其他方面相同之組合物相比在一段時間內賦予毛髮改良之光澤的方法及組合物。
在本發明之一個態樣中,提供賦予毛髮長期保持之光澤的方法。該方法包含向毛髮施用含有胺基聚矽氧聚合物及視情況光澤增強劑之組合物,該胺基聚矽氧聚合物在25℃下具有約800 mm2

本發明之組合物可包括、包含本發明之組份以及本文所述之其他成份、基本上由其組成或由其組成。本文所用之「基本上由...組成」意指組合物或組份可包括其他成份,但唯一的條件係,該等其他成份不會實質上改變本文所述之所主張組合物或方法之基本及新穎特徵。
本文所用之術語「角蛋白纖維」包括頭髮、睫毛、眉毛、面毛及體毛,例如臂毛、腿毛等。角蛋白纖維並不限於人類,且亦包括來自哺乳動物之任何角蛋白纖維,例如寵物毛髮及哺乳動物毛皮。
本文所用之術語「官能基當量重量」或FGEW意指聚合物之數量平均分子量(NAVG MW)與聚合物中官能基之數目的比率。
本發明部分地係基於以下發現而建立:向護髮組合物中添加某些胺基聚矽氧賦予毛髮持久光澤及/或使毛髮持久保持光澤,尤其當與光澤增強劑組合使用時,該等胺基聚矽氧具有特定範圍之官能重量當量基團(functional weight equivalent group)(FWEG)(其中高值反映胺基聚矽氧中胺基之低數目)與特定範圍之黏度之組合。已發現,與不存在胺基聚矽氧之其他方面相同之組合物相比,本發明之組合
物在較長時間段內賦予角蛋白纖維、較佳毛髮光澤。此外,本發明之組合物可賦予毛髮耐洗之美學益處,尤其在重複用洗髮精洗滌後,包括光澤、柔軟度、易處理性及/或減少之飄拂毛髮,且對毛髮之其他美學性質(例如,外觀、手感、體積等)無實質上不利效應。已令人驚奇地發現,與傳統地用於護髮產品中之胺基聚矽氧相比,含有具有某一FWEG與黏度值之組合之胺基聚矽氧的本發明組合物可在洗滌數次後仍保留於毛髮上,且在重複使用後未實質上堆積於毛髮上,實質上堆積於毛髮上會使毛髮之外觀及手感實質上受損害。就毛髮之外觀及手感而言,所謂實質上受損害或實質不利效應意指對毛髮之外觀及手感的不利效應可藉由人類之觸覺觸摸或視覺檢查容易地觀察到。
不欲受限於任一理論,據信藉由平衡胺基聚矽氧中之胺基官能度與聚矽氧官能度,可將高濃度之胺基聚矽氧納入產品中,以賦予顯著的耐洗及美學益處,而不會造成不期望之堆積及使毛髮之外觀及手感受損害。亦據信,本發明之組合物達成持久光澤,使用其他胺基聚矽氧或使用缺少本文所述胺基聚矽氧而其他方面相同之組合物時觀察不到此持久光澤。具體而言,據信,當與光澤增強劑組合使用時,本文所述之胺基聚矽氧與光澤增強劑可在毛髮上形成持久之網狀結構,此防止光澤增強劑轉移、保護其不受水及/或洗髮精影響,並改良光澤增強劑於毛髮上之保持。據信,本文所述胺基聚矽氧與光澤增強劑之組合可為毛髮提供加性或協同美學益處,尤其持久光澤,且對毛髮之其
他美學性質無實質不利效應。

在某些實例性實施例中,胺基聚矽氧賦予毛髮良好的光彩或光澤。具體而言,胺基聚矽氧在25℃下可具有大於1.4之折射率。較佳地,胺基聚矽氧在25℃下可具有約1.401至約1.5之折射率,包括在25℃下折射率為1.402、1.403、1.404、1.405、1.425、1.45或1.475的實施例。
另外,胺基聚矽氧在25℃下可具有小於1之比重。較佳地,胺基聚矽氧在25℃下可具有小於0.99之比重。更佳地,胺基聚矽氧在25℃下可具有約0.95至約0.99之比重,包括在25℃下比重為0.96、0.97或0.98之實施例。
一種尤佳之胺基聚矽氧聚合物可自Shin-Etsu Chemical有限公司以商品名KF-8005購得。該KF-8005材料具有11,000 g/mol之FGEW及1,200 mm2
/s之黏度(25℃)。另外,該
KF-8005材料具有0.97之比重(25℃)及1.403之折射率(25℃)。
胺基聚矽氧聚合物通常以佔總組合物重量之約0.01%至約25%存在。更通常地,胺基聚矽氧聚合物將佔組合物重量之約1%至約25%。較佳地,胺基聚矽氧聚合物將佔組合物重量之約5%至約10%,包括胺基聚矽氧以佔組合物重量之約6%、7%、8%或9%存在之實施例。
本發明之護髮組合物之第二組份包含光澤增強劑。預期,上文所述之胺基聚矽氧亦賦予毛髮光澤,且在本發明組合物中單獨的光澤增強劑並非必需的。因此,在一些實施例中,組合物將不含光澤增強劑。在另一實施例中,組合物包括光澤增強劑。
在一些實施例中,光澤增強劑係(但不限於)具有高折射率之芳基-聚矽氧或半球形甲基丙烯酸甲酯交聯聚合物。通常,預期,在25℃下具有大於1.4之折射率之任何經芳基取代之聚矽氧適用於賦予毛髮光澤。可尤其提及苯基三甲聚矽氧烷,其可以商品名SI-TEC PTM 1000(ISP)及PDM20(Wacker-Belsil)購得。PDM20材料在25℃下具有1.437之折射率。三甲基矽烷氧基苯基二甲聚矽氧烷(INCI名稱)亦適宜作為光澤增強劑,其可以商品名PDM 1000(Wacker-Belsil)購得。PDM 1000材料在25℃下具有1.461之折射率。另一適宜的聚矽氧流體係三甲基矽烷氧基苯基二甲聚矽氧烷。苯基聚矽氧(例如五苯基三甲基三矽氧烷或四苯基四甲基三矽氧烷,其可作為HRI流體自Dow Corning
HRI購得)亦可用於增強光澤。某些有機化合物(例如甲氧基肉桂酸辛酯)亦可用於增強光澤。尤佳之光澤增強劑係二甲聚矽氧烷,例如SI-TECTM
DM 500000(ISP)。
透鏡狀顆粒(例如半球形PMMA)亦可用於賦予光澤。一種可自市面購得之該材料係以商品名3D Tech PW(Plain)XP(Kobo)出售之半球形甲基丙烯酸甲酯交聯聚合物。其他適宜的光澤增強劑包括苯基丙基二甲基矽烷氧基矽酸酯、聚丁烯、聚異丁烯及氫化聚異丁烯。
光澤增強劑通常以總組合物重量之約0.01%至約50%存在。更通常地,光澤增強劑將包含組合物重量之約1%至約50%。較佳地,光澤增強劑將包含組合物重量之約1%至約25%。最佳地,光澤增強劑為組合物重量之約3%至約6%。
在某些實例性實施例中,胺基聚矽氧及光澤增強劑可以約10:1至約1:10、或約5:1至約1:5、或約2:1至約1:2、或約1:1之重量比存在。
在本發明組合物中個別成膜劑並非必需。因此,在一些實施例中,該等組合物不含成膜劑,例如聚合成膜劑、蠟、油等,或實質上不含成膜劑,意指組合物包含小於約1重量%之成膜劑,且較佳小於約0.5重量%之成膜劑,且仍更佳小於約0.1重量%之成膜劑。
在其他實施例中,成膜劑可包括於組合物中。成膜劑較佳包含疏水性材料。疏水性成膜劑可為適用於化妝品組合物之任何疏水性成膜劑,其包括(但不限於)疏水性成膜聚

較佳之聚合成膜劑包括丙烯酸酯、丙烯酸烷基酯、聚胺基甲酸酯、諸如Fluomer(聚全氟全氫菲)等含氟聚合物及聚矽氧聚合物。尤佳者係諸如丙烯酸酯/二甲聚矽氧烷共聚物等聚矽氧丙烯酸酯,其以商品名KP-545或KP-550(Shin-Etsu)出售。
可使用之其他成膜劑包括(但不限於)天然、礦物質及/或合成蠟。天然蠟係來源於動物者(包括但不限於蜂蠟、鯨蠟、羊毛脂及蟲膠蠟)以及來源於植物者(包括但不限於巴西棕櫚蠟(carnauba)、堪地里拉蠟(candelilla)、楊梅蠟、及甘蔗蠟以及諸如此類)。預期,可使用的礦物質蠟包括但不限於地蠟(ozokerite)、純地蠟(ceresin)、蒙旦蠟(montan)、石蠟、微晶蠟、石油蠟及礦脂蠟。合成蠟包括(例如)費希爾-特羅普希(Fischer Tropsch(FT))蠟及聚烯烴蠟,例如,乙烯均聚物、乙烯-丙烯共聚物及乙烯-己烯共聚物。代表性乙烯均聚物蠟可以商品名POLYWAX®聚乙烯(Baker Hughes公司)購得。可自市面購得之乙烯-α-烯烴共聚物蠟包括以商品名PETROLITE®共聚物(Baker Hughes公司)出售者。另一適宜蠟係作為ULTRABEE®二甲聚矽氧烷醇酯自Noveon購得之二甲聚矽氧烷醇蜂蠟。
預期上述成膜劑中之任一者之組合亦係適宜的,包括聚合成膜劑與非聚合成膜劑之組合。
可添加各種填充劑及其他組份。適宜填充劑包括但不限
於二氧化矽、經處理二氧化矽、滑石粉、硬脂酸鋅、雲母、高嶺土(kaolin)、耐綸粉末(例如ORGASOLTM
)、聚乙烯粉末、TEFLONTM

所有該等其他顏料、著色劑及填充劑之總量並無特別限制,條件係不損害毛髮之光澤。通常,若存在,則所有其他顏料、著色劑、填充劑等將總共佔總組合物之約0.1重量%至約5重量%,但更通常將佔組合物之約0.1重量%至約2重量%。

本發明之護髮組合物將包含化妝品上可接受之媒劑。「化妝品上可接受的」意指媒劑在與人類外皮接觸時係安全的。媒劑可包含液體,其包含單相、雙相系統或乳液。乳液包括水包油、水包聚矽氧、油包水、聚矽氧包水及諸如此類。在產品意欲呈噴霧形式的情況下,可期望使用單相媒劑或包含水相及油相之雙相媒劑,其中油相包含聚矽
氧油。當調配成乳液時,通常包括乳化劑。在其他實施例中,組合物實質上不含或不含乳化劑。實質上不含乳化劑意指不有意地將乳化劑添加至組合物中,且若存在則所存在的量非常低以致於不會對乳液之穩定性具有可量測影響。然而,預期,此項技術中已知之任一化妝品上可接受之媒劑可為有用的。

在揮發性C5-12
烴中,尤其可提及異十二烷,其可以商品名Permethyl-99A(Presperse Inc.)購得。適宜的氟化溶劑包括(但不限於)例如全氟醚、全氟十氫萘、全氟甲基十氫萘、全氟己烷、全氟甲基環己烷、全氟二甲基環己烷、全氟庚烷、全氟辛烷、全氟壬烷及全氟甲基環戊烷。
在一個較佳實施例中,溶劑包含揮發性聚矽氧(較佳為環甲基聚矽氧烷五聚物)與無水乙醇之組合。較佳地,揮發性聚矽氧(環甲基聚矽氧烷五聚物)包含溶劑系統重量之約1%至約99%,且乙醇包含溶劑系統重量之約1%至約99%。更特別地,揮發性聚矽氧(環甲基聚矽氧烷五聚物)包含溶劑系統重量之約50%至約99%,且乙醇包含溶劑系統重量之約1%至約50%。在一個較佳實施例中,揮發性聚矽氧(環甲基聚矽氧烷五聚物)包含溶劑系統重量之約70%至約90%,且乙醇包含溶劑系統重量之約10%至約30%。
在又一實施例中,本發明組合物包含乙醇(較佳無水)與一或多種在25℃蒸氣壓小於乙醇蒸氣壓之溶劑組合。在另一實施例中,本發明組合物包含乙醇(較佳無水)與一或多種在25℃蒸氣壓大於乙醇蒸氣壓之溶劑組合。
該等組合物可呈任何適宜形式,包括(但不限於)凝膠、乳霜、液體、乳液、噴霧劑及諸如此類。媒劑可包含單相、雙相系統或乳液。乳液包括水包油、水包聚矽氧、油包水、聚矽氧包水及諸如此類。當調配成乳液時,通常包括乳化劑。本發明組合物可為任何適宜的護髮組合物,其中包括洗髮精、調理劑(conditioner)、造型產品(例如凝膠、慕斯(mousse)等)。
可將本發明組合物施用、較佳噴霧至乾燥毛髮或濕毛髮(體毛、頭髮、下巴上的鬍鬚(beard)、嘴上的鬍鬚(mustache)、睫毛等)上以賦予長期保持之光澤。因此,例如,可將組合物施用於乾燥、僅極微潤濕或浸沒於水中後的毛髮。通常,可在用洗髮精洗滌毛髮之前將組合物施用於毛髮。或者,可在用洗髮精洗滌毛髮之後將組合物施用於毛髮。亦可在用洗髮精洗滌毛髮期間施用組合物。另外,護髮組合物可視消費者期望在任何時間再施用。在一個實施例中,護髮組合物可在每次洗滌之前再施用於毛髮。組合物可在每次用洗髮精洗滌之後有益地施用,但在需要再施用之前,該等組合物耐得住一次、兩次、三次、四次、六次、八次、十次或甚至更多次用洗髮精洗滌。可使用經本發明組合物處理之毛髮樣品來測試上述者。
就用護髮組合物處理之毛髮之光澤的保持而言,對在25℃下具有約800 mm2

/s之黏度且具有約8,000 g/mol至約14,000 g/mol之官能基當量重量的胺基聚
矽氧之美學效應進行研究。根據表1來製備組合物。
試樣1及2包括具有低FGEW之胺基聚矽氧,此指示胺基聚矽氧具有高胺含量(即,與具有較高FGEW之胺基聚矽氧相比具有較多胺基)。具體而言,試樣1包括可以商品名KF-8002自Shin-Etsu Chemical有限公司購得之胺基聚矽氧。KF-8002材料具有1,700 g/mol之FGEW、1,100 mm2

具有高FGEW之胺基聚矽氧,此指示胺基聚矽氧具有低胺含量,或與具有較低FGEW之胺基聚矽氧相比具有較少胺基。試樣3包括可以商品名KF-8005自Shin-Etsu Chemical有限公司購得之胺基聚矽氧。KF-8005材料具有11,000 g/mol之FGEW、1,200 mm2
/s之黏度(25℃)、0.97之比重(25℃)及1.403之折射率(25℃)。
每一護髮組合物係藉由以下來製備:一次一種地向容器中添加每一成份且在添加每一組份之前將其中之混合物混合五(5)分鐘。在將所有成份或試樣護髮組合物均添加至容器中之後,將混合物進一步再混合二十(20)分鐘或直至混合物呈現均勻(例如,實質上均質的)。
使用下文所述之儀器及測試方案來檢查用試樣1至3處理之毛髮之光澤保持。
用於量測每一毛髮試樣之光澤之儀器係Bossa Nova儀器。儀器結果係基於使用以偏振相機偏振照明的原理,該偏振相機能夠將自表面(鏡面)反射之偏振光與散射之非偏振光(漫射光)分離。鏡面光越多,則毛髮上之光澤越多。
量測光澤之方法係基於影像分析。光澤之視覺印象主要緣於兩種機制,即,光之反射及漫射。毛髮如同鏡子一樣反射入射光,且亦可使其漫射。反射機制保存入射偏振(平行偏振)且漫射產生交叉偏振。量測光的兩個量容許藉由軟體及專有相機設計來定量光澤。
成像系統儀器係容許藉由在活體內(或在真實模型上即
時)定量光澤或藉由光澤映射(gloss mapping)視覺比較光澤產品而定量毛髮樣品上之光澤的技術。有兩種設置組態;一種係在圓筒上量測毛髮樣品,且另一種係借助特殊面或光來量測毛髮。
光澤帶係聚焦於相機鏡頭下之毛髮的有光澤部分。將毛髮定位於圓筒上之後,藉由軟體來量測目標區域。藉由積分鏡面及漫射光之曲線下面積來獲得光澤數據。具體而言,Bossa Nova光澤係藉由下式來計算:P/(C×W)。P係鏡面光的量;C係漫射光(曲線下面積);且W係鏡面峰之寬度。
上文所述影像分析技術之一個優點係,對於平坦表面並無限制且光澤可即時地「即刻」量測。Cosmetics and Toiletries Magazine
,「In Vivo Quantitative Evaluation of Gloss,」2004年10月的一篇專題文章描寫了Bossa Nova儀器及光澤方法。原料(ingredient)製造商ISP(國際特種產品公司(International Specialty Products))亦已公佈使用影像分析技術來定量光澤之成果。
毛髮試樣係自國際毛髮進口商(International Hair Importers)獲得,其為淺金黃褐色之中等密度發束(寬3/4英吋且長10英吋)。使用吸管將1.0 g護髮組合物置於毛髮試樣上,並用手使其自頂部至底部均勻分佈。隨後將每一毛髮試樣用吹風機乾燥三(3)分鐘並梳理五(5)次。
使用白色條形相紙按照儀器製造商之說明書來校準
Bossa Nova儀器。首先用大齒梳子將毛髮試樣梳理十(10)次。隨後將發束之一端附接至試樣固定器之一側。隨後將毛髮再梳理五(5)次,並將毛髮試樣之未附接端附接至試樣固定器之另一側。隨後使固定器滑動至Bossa Nova儀器之室中,並記錄毛髮試樣之光澤。
在初始光澤量測後,將毛髮試樣在流水下在介於100℉至110℉之間的溫度下沖洗30秒。毛髮試樣上的過量水係藉由在中指與食指之間擠壓毛髮試樣用手除去。
為洗滌每一毛髮試樣,使用吸管將0.5 mL含有12%月桂基醚硫酸鈉(SLES)之洗滌劑溶液添加至毛髮試樣。藉由重複向下移動30秒用手使洗滌劑溶液沿毛髮試樣之長度自頂部至底部遍及毛髮試樣分佈。隨後將毛髮試樣置於介於100℉至110℉之間的溫度的溫熱流水下,並沖洗30秒。隨後使用吹風乾燥機乾燥毛髮試樣,並使用Bossa Nova儀器再次量測試樣之光澤。重複洗滌及乾燥步驟,直至毛髮試樣之光澤為或接近未經處理毛髮試樣之光澤(即,基線光澤)。
試樣1至3中之每一者的光澤保持測試的結果顯示於圖1中。自圖1可以看出,含有具有11,000 g/mol之FGEW及1,200 mm2
/s之黏度(25℃)之KF-8005的試樣3與試樣1及2相比提供較高之初始光澤,試樣1及2中之每一者包括具有顯著較低FGEW之胺基聚矽氧。此外,圖1之數據顯示,試樣3比試樣1及2更耐洗,此乃因試樣3與試樣1及2相比在更多次洗滌之後仍保持增強之光澤。因此,結果顯示,與具有
顯著較低FGEW(例如,小於8,000 g/mol)之胺基聚矽氧相比,具有11,000 g/mol之FGEW及1,200 mm2
/s之黏度(25℃)之胺基聚矽氧賦予毛髮優良之長期保持之光澤。
就聚矽氧於毛髮上之堆積量而言,對具有11,000 g/mol之FGEW及1,200 mm2
/s之黏度(25℃)之胺基聚矽氧(例如,KF-8005材料)與環五矽氧烷之組合的美學效應進行研究,該組合係與具有低FGEW之胺基聚矽氧與相同環五矽氧烷之組合相比較。一種組合物(試樣4)係用10%之KF-8005及90%之環五矽氧烷(Xiameter PMX-0245,Dow Corning)來製備。另一組合物(試樣5)係用10%之可以商品名SF1708自Momentive Specialty Chemicals公司購得之具有低FGEW之胺基聚矽氧及90%之環五矽氧烷(Xiameter PMX-0245,Dow Corning)來製備。SF1708材料係胺基丙基胺基乙基聚矽氧烷(CAS登記號為71750-79-3),其具有1,250 g/mol之FGEW且在25℃下具有1250-2500 mm2
/s之黏度。
將試樣4及5中之每一者均施用至三份不同毛髮試樣上。對於每一毛髮試樣,將0.5克護髮組合物施用至每5克毛髮(即,佔毛髮重量之10%)。藉由重複向下移動約30秒用手使護髮組合物沿毛髮試樣之長度自頂部至底部遍及毛髮試樣分佈。隨後使用吹風乾燥機以高檔乾燥毛髮試樣約2分鐘。使用能量色散型X射線(Energy Dispersive X-ray)(EDAX)來測定用護髮組合物初始處理後毛髮試樣上聚矽氧之堆積量。將用於每一護髮組合物(即,試樣4及試樣5)
之三份毛髮試樣摻和,並針對毛髮表面上之相對矽濃度%進行分析。自17次量測且摒棄最高及最低結果來產生EDAX統計值。亦使用上文針對實例I所論述之Bossa Nova光澤量測程序來測定毛髮試樣之光澤。

為研究長期使用性能及鑑別任何堆積問題,在將毛髮試樣洗滌並乾燥六(6)次後,以與針對初始施用所闡述之方式相同之方式將0.5克護髮組合物再次施用至每5克毛髮(即,佔毛髮重量之10%)。使用EDAX測定用護髮組合物第二次處理之後毛髮試樣上聚矽氧之堆積量。亦使用Bossa Nova光澤量測程序來測定毛髮試樣之光澤。
再實施六(6)次上文所述之洗滌及乾燥步驟。使用EDAX測定第二次及第四次洗滌之後毛髮試樣上聚矽氧之堆積量。亦使用Bossa Nova光澤量測程序來測定毛髮試樣之光澤。
以與上文針對初始施用所闡述之方式相同之方式將第三
次施用之0.5克護髮組合物施用至每5克毛髮(即,佔毛髮重量之10%)。使用EDAX測定用護髮組合物第二次處理之後毛髮試樣上聚矽氧之堆積量。亦使用Bossa Nova光澤量測程序來測定毛髮試樣之光澤。
再實施六(6)次上文所述之洗滌及乾燥步驟。使用EDAX測定第二次及第四次洗滌之後毛髮試樣上聚矽氧之堆積量。亦使用Bossa Nova光澤量測程序來測定毛髮試樣之光澤。
試樣4及5中之每一者之EDAX堆積測試結果顯示於圖2中。自圖2可以看出,含有具有高胺含量之SF1708材料(FGEW為1,250 g/mol)的試樣5與含有低胺含量之KF-8005材料之試樣4相比,在第二次及第三次施用之後矽堆積的量顯著增加。令人驚奇的是,觀察到,KF-8005材料在每次連續施用之後不顯著堆積於毛髮上。在第二次施用試樣4之後洗滌4至6次之後,對於含有KF-8005材料之護髮組合物,剩餘矽的量(% Si)僅降低約50%。然而,與用試樣5所觀察到的一樣,用試樣4額外處理毛髮試樣未導致矽堆積。
試樣4及5中之每一者之Boss Nova光澤量測結果顯示於圖3中。自圖3可以看出,由含有SF1708材料之試樣5賦予之光澤在再次施用護髮組合物後顯著降低。另外,觀察到,用試樣5處理兩次或三次之毛髮試樣手感發黏,較重且顯得暗淡,所有該等均為護髮組合物之不期望美學性質。相比之下,含有KF-8005材料之試樣4在第二次及第三
次每次將試樣4施用至毛髮試樣後賦予類似程度之光澤。
鑒於圖2及3中所提供之數據,據信,含有在25℃下具有約800 mm2
/s至約1,600 mm2
/s之黏度且具有約8,000 g/mol至約14,000 g/mol之官能基當量重量之胺基聚矽氧、尤其KF-8005材料的護髮組合物在重複施用之後未顯著堆積於毛髮上,且因此,不會不利地影響毛髮之美學外觀,尤其光澤及手感。

Claims (13)
- 一種賦予毛髮長期保持光澤、柔軟度、易處理性及/或減少之飄拂毛髮之耐洗之美學益處的方法,其包含向該毛髮施用包含胺基聚矽氧聚合物及適宜媒劑之組合物,該胺基聚矽氧聚合物具有以下結構
其中x係1至6之整數,y係1至6之整數,且m及n各獨立地為1至5,000之整數,且經選擇以提供在25℃下約1,200mm2 /s之黏度及約11,000g/mol之官能基當量重量(FGEW)。 - 如請求項1之方法,其中該胺基聚矽氧聚合物在25℃具有大於1.4之折射率。
