1300555 (1) 九、發明說明 【發明所屬之技術領域】 本發明係有關於,藉由照射光束使得記錄層上產生穿 透率、反射綠等光學性變化而可進行資料之記錄、再生, 且可進行追記之色素系追記型DVD媒體之記錄再生方法 及裝置.。 【先前技術】 現在,次世代大容量光碟,正朝向DVD-R的開發邁 進中。做爲提升記錄容量的要素技術,需要記錄坑微小化 所需之記錄材料的開發、以MPEG2爲代表之影像壓縮技 術的採用、記錄坑讀取用半導體雷射的短波長化等之技術 開發。 至今爲止的紅色波長區的半導體雷射,雖然只有條碼 讀取機或測量器用的670nm帶的AlGalnP雷射二極體被 商品化,但隨著光碟的高密度化,紅光雷射會一直被光儲 存市場繼續使用下去。在DVD驅動器的情況,光源是使 用63 5nm帶和65 0nm帶之兩種波長帶的雷射二極體且被 規格化。另一方面,再生專用的DVD-ROM驅動器係以波 長約650nm而被商品化。 一般藉由加熱模式來形成凹坑(標記)的色素系追記 型DVD媒體,係將特定記錄速度下將記錄時的雷射發光 所致之記錄脈衝列的脈衝寬度和記錄功率予以最佳化,而 在不同記錄線速度中所形成的標記或空白的狀態會有變化 -5- 1300555 (2) 。亦即,因爲標記形成時所必須的預先加熱脈衝所致之熱 容量的不足,或到達之加熱溫度相對於最佳分解溫度有異 而使標記的平均長度參差不齊’或因最佳之加熱脈衝的工 作比(duty ratio )有異而導致無法獲得均勻的標記寬或 隨著標記長產生忽粗忽細等等,因而導致顫動(jitter ) 特性惡化。 又,關於DVD系媒體的實體格式,在DVD-R媒體之 格式的情況下,是以將被稱作「凸軌預刻坑」之凸軌的一 部份予以切斷而成的格式而被規格化。若依照此種方式, 凸軌預刻坑訊號(LPPb )若未滿0.16則預刻坑位址等預 刻坑資訊就無法良好再生,若超過0.32則LLP訊號本身 會在資料領域中如雜訊般地動作,導致資料錯誤頻發。因 此,LPP係必須將合於記錄材料的切斷寬以母模( stamper )來微調之,必須以使LPPb落在0.1 6〜0.32之範 圍內的方式來控制凸軌切斷寬。 此外,記錄層中使用色素的光記錄媒體的公知例有, 將聚甲川(poly met hine )色素或聚甲川色素和光穩定化 材料當作記錄材料使用者、四氮雜紫質(tetra-aza-porphyrin) ( Porphyrazine)色素或花青(cyanine)色素 +偶氮(azo )金屬螯合色素(鹽形態色素)所成之層和反 射層當作記錄層者、甲臢(formazan )(金屬螯合)色素 +其他色素當作記錄材料使用者、二吡咯甲烷(d i -pyrromethene )(金屬螯合)色素+其他色素當作記錄材 料使用者等,不勝枚舉。又,雖然在記錄材料中使用色素 -6- 1300555 (3) 而進行多脈衝記錄者以有多數公知,但就本發明人所知, 類似本發明般對於色素系追記型DVD媒體以單一脈衝進 行記錄,且著眼於進行高線速度記錄之際之記錄波形的文 獻,目前仍未發現。 【發明內容】 〔發明所欲解決之課題〕 本發明的目的,在於提供一種記錄再生方法及裝置, 係在對色素系追記型DVD媒體進行高線速記錄之際,能 夠獲得良好記錄波形。 又,本發明的目的,在於提供一種屬於使用振盪波長 短於CD系媒體的半導體雷射的追記型0¥0系統的新格 .式方式,且和LPP方式相同是能有效消除在資料添寫部 上的未記錄領域之方式,甚至,相較於DVD-R凸軌預刻 坑方式,更可以免除於製作母模時的細微切斷寬控制或因 LPP訊號往資料部的洩漏導致之資料錯誤的優異方式。 〔用以解決課題之手段〕 亦即,上記課題,是藉由以下的1 )〜1 7 )之發明( 以下稱作本發明1〜1 7 )來解決。 1 ) 一種色素系追記型DVD媒體之記錄再生方法’其 特徵爲,對於在具有設置搖擺(wobble)之引導溝的基板 上所形成之以有機色素爲主成份的記錄層’將最短標記以 輸出高於其他標記的脈衝進行記錄’將由短數來第3以降 1300555 (4) 長度的記錄標記,以一脈衝後端部是被一定時間高輸出化 ,且該已高輸出化之脈衝功率是等於第2短之標記的脈衝 功率的脈衝光進行記錄;在標記記錄時,對全部標記的上 記脈衝的後端部以降照射冷卻脈衝,且令該照射光量,在 一定時間爲〇 · 1 m W以下。 2)如前記1)之記錄再生方法,其中,將由短數來 第3以降長度的記錄標記,以一脈衝的前端部和後端部兩 .處是被一定時間高輸出化,且該已高輸出化之脈衝功率是 等於第2短之標記的脈衝功率的脈衝光進行記錄。 3 )如前記1 )或2 )之記錄再生方法,其中,將對脈 衝後端部以降照射冷卻脈衝的時間,設成最短長度空白的 1/6〜6/6之長度。 4 )如前記1 )〜3 )之記錄再生方法,其中,將形成 前方空白長爲最短長之標記的記錄脈衝列的開頭加熱脈衝 寬度,以該標記的長度是否爲最短長來加以區別,而將最 短長標記的開頭加熱脈衝寬度,設定成長於非最短長標記 的開頭加熱脈衝寬度;且,將形成最短長標記之記錄脈衝 列的開頭加熱脈衝寬度,以該最短長標記的前方空白長是 否爲最短長來加以區別,而將前方空白長爲最短之標記的 開頭加熱脈衝寬度,設定成短於前方空白長爲非最短之標 記的開頭加熱脈衝寬度。 5 )如前記1 )〜4 )之記錄再生方法,其中,前記高 頻搖擺(wobble),係設定成令基本時脈週期爲T時相當 於4T〜96T之頻率。 1300555 (5) 6)如前記1)〜5)之記錄再生方法’其中’將局頻 搖擺的振幅(Wo ),和藉由2分割光偵測器進行軌道錯 誤偵測控制所需之軌道錯誤偵測訊號的推挽振幅(PP )的 比値「Wo/PP」,是以O.lSWo/PPSO.4之範圍而同步契 合。 7 )如前記1 )〜6 )之記錄再生方法,其中,記錄光 的波長爲600〜720 nm。 8 )如前記1 )〜7 )之記錄再生方法,其中,相對於 記錄光及再生光的波長±5nm之波長帶的光,記錄層單層 的折射率η爲1.5$ 3.0,且消光係數k爲0.02S kg 0.2。 9 )如前記1 )〜8 )之記錄再生方法,其中,記錄層 的分解開始溫度爲100〜3 60°C。 1 〇 )如前記1 )〜9 )之記錄再生方法,其中,光記 錄媒體是在基板上,做爲除了記錄層以外的構成層,具有 :反射層、保護層、接著層、保護基板、基板面硬覆層從 中選擇至少一層。 1 1 )如前記1 〇 )之記錄再生方法,其中,反射層是 由金、銀、鋁之任一,或這些爲主成份之合金。 1 2 )如前記1 0 )〜1 1 )之記錄再生方法,其中,保 護層是由紫外線硬化樹脂所成。 1 3 )如前記1 0 )〜1 2 )之記錄再生方法,其中,將 兩片基板貼合而成爲雙面構成之記錄媒體所須之接著層是 被設置在該基板間,且該接著層所用的接著劑是紫外線硬 -9 - 1300555 (6) 化樹脂。 14) 一種記錄再生裝置,其特徵爲,具有以下機能: 對於在基板的引導溝內具有搖擺之色素系追記型DVD媒 體,將最短標記以輸出高於其他標記的脈衝進行記錄,將 由短數來第3以降長度的記錄標記,以一脈衝後端部是被 一定時間高輸出化,且該已高輸出化之脈衝功率是等於第 2短之標記的脈衝功率的脈衝光進行記錄;在標記記錄時 ,對全部標記的上記脈衝的後端部以降照射冷卻脈衝,且 令該照射光量,在一定時間爲0.1 mW以下,而進行記錄 再生。 1 5 )如前記1 4 )之記錄再生裝置,其中,具有以下 機能:將由短數來第3以降長度的記錄標記,以一脈衝的 則晒部和後贿部兩處是被一疋時間局輸出化,且該已筒輸 出化之脈衝功率是等於第2短之標記的脈衝功率的脈衝光 進行記錄之機能。 16) 如前記Η)或15)之記錄再生裝置,其中,具 有以下機能:將對脈衝後端部以降照射冷卻脈衝的時間, 設成最短長度空白的1/6〜6/6之長度。 17) 如前記14)〜16)之記錄再生裝置,其中,具 有以下機能:將形成前方空白長爲最短長之標記的記錄脈 衝列的開頭加熱脈衝寬度,以該標記的長度是否爲最短長 來加以區別’而將最短長標記的開頭加熱脈衝寬度,設定 成長於非最短長標記的開頭加熱脈衝寬度;且,將形成最 短長標記之記錄脈衝列的開頭加熱脈衝寬度,以該最短長 -10- 1300555 (7) 標記的前方空白長是否爲最短長來加以區別,而將前 白長爲最短之標記的開頭加熱脈衝寬度,設定成短於 空白長爲非最短之標記的開頭加熱脈衝寬度。 【實施方式】 以下將詳細說明本發明。 本發明1、2,係屬於藉由脈衝光進行記錄並將 錄以再生光進行再生之色素系追記型DVD媒體之記 生方法,其中,規定了基本的最佳脈衝照射波形。針 短數來第3以降長度的標記,亦即針對除了最短長標 第2短標記以外的標記,脈衝的後端部或前端部和後 上施加了追加功率而予以高輸出化的長度,是基本時 期T的0.5倍〜2倍,亦即以0.5T〜2T之範圍爲特 想,而在〇·2Τ〜2.5T之範圍內亦可實施。又,最短 記的脈衝光量,必須要大於其他標記的追加光量,令 長標記的功率爲W0,第2短標記的功率及由短數來 以降之長度的標記的追加功率爲W 1,無追加功率爲 則雖然可採用W0/W1 = 1.01〜2.00之範圍,但理想爲 〜1.50之範圍。另一方面,W1/W2雖可採用1.05〜 之範圍,但理想爲1.08〜2.00之範圍。 本發明3係屬於規定了設置在各脈衝之後端部以 冷卻脈衝的理想照射條件,冷卻脈衝照射時間,係最 白長的1/6〜6/6之長度爲理想,超過此範圍則很難 本發明之效果。 方空 則方 該記 錄再 對由 記和 端部 脈週 別理 長標 最短 :第3 W2, 1.02 ^3.00 降的 短空 獲得 -11 - 1300555 (8) 藉由選擇上記此種脈衝波形,尤其是能在高記錄線速 下以低顫動(jitter )進行良好之記錄。 色素系之光記錄媒體,若要實現高線速化則記錄功率 必須越大越好,其結果爲更容易引起標記間的熱干擾。於 是,爲了使標記形成之際的標記邊緣切整良好,本發明是 有效的。 若按照先前例的態樣進行記錄,則得到最低顫動之功 率和使得錯誤呈最小之功率會發生錯離而減少了功率範圍 。具體而言在高線速記錄下獲得最低顫動之記錄功率中記 錄訊號的非對稱性會偏向負値側的傾向,而導致在錯誤測 定時無論顫動再低都很容易出現錯誤。例如,即使是非對 稱性爲負且低顫動、低錯誤,也會因媒體、驅動器的經年 變化等,導致非對稱性爲零附近所記錄之媒體容易出現錯 誤。本發明就是針對解決該低非對稱性問題而硏發。 又,即使在以複數脈衝光(多脈衝)寫入1標記的時 候,若使脈衝光最佳化,則雖然可解決上述之低非對稱性 問題,但由於使用複數的脈衝光,因此當脈衝光上揚、下 挫的時間參差發生之際可能導致記錄品質本身良莠不齊。 該良莠不齊可說越是高線速記錄則越容易發生。 相對於此,本發明中由於是每一標記用1脈衝光進行 記錄,因此可以提供較該多脈衝光記錄之記錄品質良莠不 齊更少的記錄方法,是爲優點。又,寫入中的位址偵測當 中,由於較多脈衝光法更爲單純的記錄波形,因此記錄時 的光量容易平均化,不只是空白部的反射光量而是連標記 -12- 1300555 (9) 部的光量都能予以平均化而偵測位址,即使在脈衝的後端 設置〇 . 1 mW以下的冷卻脈衝也可使位址偵測較爲容易實 施,具有此一優點。 該當於本發明1之記錄波形之一例示於圖6、圖8, 但此時只有最短長標記和第2短標記的脈衝是單純的矩形 波,且最短長標記的脈衝是被高輸出化,由短數來第3以 降長度之標記的脈衝之後端部,是以低於最短長標記的位 準而被高輸出化。由短數來第3以降長度之各標記的參數 ,係只要能將後端部高輸出化而可選擇幾乎共通的參數, 具有容易佈署在已經實用的驅動器上的好處,但光記錄媒 體則要求能夠以簡略化的記錄波形獲得良好顫動者。 又,該當於本發明2之記錄波形之一例示於圖6、圖 8,但此時只有最短長標記和第2短標記的脈衝是單純的 矩形波,且最短長標記的脈衝是被高輸出化,由短數來第 3以降長度之標記的脈衝之前端部和後端部兩處,是以低 於最短長標記的位準而被高輸出化。相較於本發明1,雖 然由短數來第3以降長度之各標記需要兩處的高輸出功率 化’而佈署至已實用之驅動器上會有負荷,但做爲光記錄 媒體則具有容易獲得良好顫動之好處。 圖6〜9中,(圖5及圖4中亦同),「space」係空 白,「mark」係標記,「Cooling Area」係冷卻區域,「 T」係基本時脈週期,「η」及「η,」係3以上的整數,「 PS」係前方空白長,「cm」係記錄標記長,「WO」係最 短長標記的記錄功率,「W 1」係第二短標記的功率或由 -13- 1300555 (10) 短數來第3以降長度之標記的已追加功率,「W2」係由 短數來第3以降長度之無追加功率。 又,考慮熱干涉的影響,將形成前方空白長爲最短長 之標記的記錄脈衝列的開頭加熱脈衝寬度,以該標記的長 度是否爲最短長來加以區別,而將最短長標記的開頭加熱 脈衝寬度,設定成長於非最短長標記的開頭加熱脈衝寬度 (其一例則參照後述表1之前方空白長爲3 T而記錄標記 長爲3T、4T〜14T之情形),藉此可實現顫動更低之記 錄。 甚至,將形成最短長標記之記錄脈衝列的開頭加熱脈 衝寬度,以該最短長標記的前方空白長是否爲最短長來加 以區別,而將前方空白長爲最短之標記的開頭加熱脈衝寬 度,設定成短於前方空白長爲非最短之標記的開頭加熱脈 衝寬度(其一例則參照後述表1之記錄標記長爲3 T而前 方空白長爲3T、4T〜14T之情形) ,藉此可實現顫動更 進一步低之記錄。 將上記開頭加熱脈衝寬度設定得較短所需之校正量( 長度),係以0.02Τ〜0.10Τ之範圍爲特別理想。當所形 成之標記的前方空白長爲最短長的時候,形成該標記的脈 衝列的開頭脈衝寬度是略等同於其他標記的情況,熱干涉 導致該前方空白長變短,顫動則會若干惡化。於是,只有 在這種時候,若將進行標記記錄所需之開頭加熱脈衝寬度 縮短則有效果。在想要將脈衝寬度縮得更短的時候,縮短 開頭加熱脈衝寬度的前邊緣(edge )當然是有效的。 -14- 1300555 (11) 又,所形成之標記的前方空白長爲最短長時,形成該 標記之脈衝列的開頭加熱脈衝寬度若短於0.1 0 T,則標記 本身會過短而非理想。 將最短長標記的開頭加熱脈衝寬度設定成長於其他標 記之際的校正量(長度),理想爲0.05T〜0.25T。尤其是 記錄線速度越大則越難形成最短長標記,因此以上記範圍 進行校正而使最短長標記的開頭脈衝寬度變長。 開頭脈衝寬度的校正量之具體例示於下記表1。 〔表1〕 記錄標記長 3Τ 4Τ 〜 14Τ 刖 3Τ ±0.00Τ -0.05Τ 方 空 白 長 4Τ I 14Τ + 0.05Τ ±0.00Τ 其次,列舉做爲記錄層所必需之項目的光學特性。 做爲光學特性,係相對於記錄再生波長附近的長波長 附近的波長帶的光,亦即相對於記錄光及再生光之波長 士 5 nm之波長帶光的記錄層單層折射率η爲1.5 S 3.0, 消光係數k爲0.02€kS0.2之範圍爲理想。若η未滿1.5 ,則由於難以獲得充分光學,化而使記錄調變度降低而非 -15- 1300555 (12) 理想;若η超過3 · 0則波長依存性變得過高,即使 再生波長領域也會導致錯誤因而並非理想。又,若 0.02,則記錄感應度變差而非理想;若k超過0.2 以獲得50%以上之反射率因而並非理想。 此外,DVD雖然在再生專用機上是以65 0nm 被規格化,但記錄型媒體之記錄光的波長係除了 authoring)專用媒體的635nm以外,還有以一般 65 0〜66 Onm而被規格化。可是在此同時,這些波 只是中心波長,會因爲LD的製造參差而往短波長 波長側偏移。又LD,在其特性上,一般回隨著溫 而波長會往長波長側平移。本發明係能夠以涵蓋上 領域之600〜720nm的記錄波長來實施之方法。 其次,雖然描述了在基板上設置蛇行之引導溝 特性,但用來特定搖擺頻率所需之T係爲基本時脈 若爲DVD(4.7GB)媒體,則約0.133//m,時間 3 8 n s e c 〇 通常,搖擺的頻帶是使用相當於150T〜400T 頻帶,無論要做頻率調變或是相位調變,在資料追 候搖擺頻率過低,導致前資料和追記資料之間還留 的空白而無法達到高密度記錄。對此,DVD-R中 LPP,藉由該LPP訊號來控制資料寫入的位置。 可是在此同時,LPP方式中若LPP訊號振幅過 LPP很難良好讀出,反之若LPP過大則這次會是 號本身會滲入至寫入資料而導致資料錯誤頻發之不 是記錄 k未滿 ,則難 附近而 編寫( 用途之 長也僅 側、長 度上升 記波長 的搖擺 週期, 上約爲 ,但該 記的時 有很大 則設置 小,則 LPP訊 良情況 -16- 1300555 (13) ,因而產生LPP爲0.16SLPPbS0.32、理想爲0.18S LPPb S 0·26之限制,在製作母模之際,必須要能細微地 控制凸軌的切斷寬。 •對此,在高頻搖擺中則不須LPP,爲了將搖擺予以調 變而同步之,不會導致LPP方式那樣地錯誤頻發之事態 。如同本發明5所規定,高頻搖擺的理想頻率爲4Τ〜96Τ 。若小於4Τ則頻率過高而難以偵測,在旋轉控制或位址 檢知信賴性上亦有問題。另一方面,若大於96Τ則頻率過 低,在追記資料之際在接合處的間隔會太開,會導致容量 降低或資料處理速度降低等問題。 做爲本發明對象之DVD媒體的搖擺振幅,係只要是 通過了適當的濾波器,例如4MHz、30kHz的高、低通濾 波器的訊號的搖擺振幅(Wo ),和通過了適當的濾波器 ,例如30kHz的濾波器的推挽訊號(PP )的比 Wo/PP, 滿足〇·1 ‘ Wo/PPS 0.4,即可容易地配合本發明之目的之 搖擺,更理想的範圍是0.15$Wo/PPS0.30。Wo/PP之値 若未滿〇·1則在同步時訊號強度會不足,若超過0.4則會 有資料部錯誤增加的傾向。但是,相較於LPP方式,LPP 對大的媒體的資料錯誤發生的影響度小且伴隨搖擺振幅增 加的資料錯誤爲和緩。 再者,於母模作成之際,雖然要使LPP方式的LPP 切斷寬在前述之0.16〜0.32的範圍內是需要高度的切斷 寬控制技術,但本發明之高頻搖擺方式下只需要管理高頻 發生源和搖擺的振動量大小(以控制搖擺振動量之電路而 -17· 1300555 (14) 可以良好的重現性作成任意振動量)就可達成目的,因此 母模的良率、媒體的良率都可飛躍性地提升。 又,具有上記隔室之基板的溝形狀,若舉例爲使用有 機色素藉由溶劑塗佈法而形成記錄層之情形,則理想溝深 爲1 000〜2500A。溝深未滿1 000 A則推挽訊號不夠充分 而無法進行尋軌控制。又,若溝深超過25 00人則基板形 成之際轉印性變差而非理想。 再者,令設有色素記錄層時的色素溝深係搖擺頻率爲 mT(m爲自然數)、色素溝深爲dl時,理想爲落在1200 SdlxmS 160000之範圍。dlxm若低於1200則無法獲得 充分的差訊號,於記錄再生時無法進行充分的尋軌;若dl xm超過1600 00則會相反震盪還是不適於尋軌,而且前 述之基板成形的轉印極限等原因使得基板溝深是有極限, 在實質上是不可能超過1 60000。 又,爲了確保記錄密度爲4〜5GB之容量,軌道間距 必須要爲0.64〜0.8 μ m左右。關於溝寬,雖然隨著記錄 材料而不同,但幾乎所有的有機材料,都可適用半値寬 0 · 1 8〜0.4 0 /i m之寬度。 其次,說明做爲本發明之對象的色素系追記型DVD 媒體的層構成、各層之必要特性及構成材料。 圖1A〜圖1D,係通常之追記型光碟的層構成之例子 ,圖2A〜圖2C,係通常之CD-R媒體之層構成例子,圖 3 A〜圖3 C,係追記型DVD媒體之層構成例子,而本發明 對象之色素系追記型DVD媒體的理想之基本構成,係如 -18 - 1300555 (15) 圖3B及圖3C.所不,是將第1基板1和第2基板(保護 基板)7之間隔著記錄層2而以接著劑貼合而成。 圖1A係基板1上具有記錄層2之態樣,圖1 B係在 記錄層2下具有下拉層3之態樣、圖1 C係更在記錄層2 上具有保護層4之態樣、圖1D則在第1基板1的相反側 上具有硬覆層5之態樣。又,圖2A係基板1上具有記錄 層.2、反射層6、保護層4之態樣,圖2 B係具有下拉層3 之態樣、圖2C係更具有保護層4之態樣。又,圖3A係 基板1上具有記錄層2、反射層6、保護層4之態樣,圖 3B係更具有接著層8和保護基板7之態樣、圖3C係更在 記錄層2下具有下拉層3且在基板1的相反側具有硬覆層 5之態樣。 ·. 記錄層可爲有機色素層單層,或可爲了提高反射率而 爲有機色素層和反射層的層積。記錄層和基板之間亦可設 置下拉層或保護層,爲了提升機能而亦可將各層做成2層 以上之構造。最普通使用的是,第1基板/有機色素層/ 反射層/保護層/接著層/第2基板(保護基板)所成之 構造。 《基板》 基板雖然在從基板側進行記錄再生時對於雷射要爲透 明才行’但在從記錄層側進行記錄再生時則不必爲透明。 基板材料有,例如聚酯樹脂、聚丙烯酸樹脂、聚醯胺樹脂 、聚碳酸酯樹脂、聚烯烴樹脂、酚樹脂、環氧樹脂、聚醯 -19- 1300555 (16) 亞胺樹脂等塑膠,或是玻璃、陶瓷、金屬等都可使用。此 外’基板表面上亦可形成尋軌用引導溝或引導坑,甚至位 址訊號等預刻格式。 《記錄層》 記錄層係受到雷射光照射而發生某種光學變化,藉由 該變化而將資訊進行記錄,其材料可使用以有機色素爲主 成份者。此處,所謂的主成份,雖然意味著含有記錄再生 必要之充分量的有機色素,但通常除了隨著需要而適宜添 加之少量的添加劑外,只使用有機色素。 有機色素的例子有,偶氮系、甲臢系、二吡咯甲烷( di-pyrromethene )系、(聚)甲川(methine )系、萘花 青(naphthalocyanine ) 系、 花青(phthalocyanine ) 系、四氮雜紫質(t e t r a · a z a - p o r p h y r i η )系、S q u a 1 i 1 i u m 系 、Croconium 系、啦喃鑰(pyrylium)系、萘願( naphthoquinone )系、蒽醒(anthraquinone )系(陰丹士 林 indanthrene系)、二苯駢B比喃(xanthene)系、三苯 甲院(triphenylmethane)系、天藍烴(azulene)系、四 氫膽鹼(tetrahydrocholine)系、菲(phenanthrene)系、 三苯噻嗪(triphenylthiazine )系色素,或這些色素的金 屬錯合體。其中理想爲,偶氮(金屬螯合)色素、甲臢( 金屬螯合)色素、Squaliliixm (金屬螯合)色素、二吡咯 甲烷(金屬螯合)色素、三甲川花青色素、四氮雜紫質色 素0 -20- 1300555 (17) 上記色素的熱分解特性,理想爲分解開始溫度1 〇〇〜 360 °C者,特別理想的是1〇〇〜350 °C者。若分解開始溫度 超過3 6 0 °C則記錄時無法順利形成凹坑而導致顫動特性變 差。又,若未滿1 0 0 °C則碟片的儲存穩定性會惡化。 上記色素中,亦可爲了提升光學特性、記錄靈敏度、 訊號特性等目的而混合入其他的有機色素、金屬、金屬化 合物,或層積一由色素層和其他有機色素、金屬、金屬化 合物所成之層。 這類金屬、金屬化合物的例子有,In、Te、Bi、Se、 Sb、Ge、Sn、Al、Be、Te〇2、SnO、As、Cd 等,可將各 者分散混合或層積使用。 甚至,上記染料中亦可分散混合例如離子聚合物樹脂 (ionomer resin)、聚醯胺樹脂、乙燒系樹脂、天然高分 子、矽膠、液狀橡膠等各種材料或矽烷耦合劑等,亦可以 特性改良爲目的而一倂使用安定劑(例如過渡金屬錯合體 )、分散劑、難燃劑、滑劑、帶電防止劑、界面活性劑、 可塑劑等。 記錄層的形成,係可藉由蒸著、濺鍍、C V D、溶劑塗 佈等通常的手段來爲之。使用塗佈法的情況下,可將上記 染料溶解於有機溶劑,藉由噴霧、滾軸塗佈、浸漬、旋塗 等慣用的塗佈法來進行。所用的有機溶媒可列舉有,一般 的甲醇、乙醇、丙醇等醇類;丙酮、甲基乙基酮、環已酮 等酮類;N,N-二乙基甲醯胺、N,N-二乙基乙醯胺等醯胺類 ;二甲亞碾等亞颯類(sulfoxide ):四氫呋喃 ( -21 - 1300555 (18) tetrahydrofuran ) —•氧陸圜(dioxane)、乙酸、乙一酉孚 甲醚(ethylene glycol monomethylether)等醚類;乙酸甲 酯…乙酸乙酯等酯類;氯仿、氯乙烷、二氯甲烷、四氯化 碳、三氯甲烷等脂肪族碳氫鹵化物類;苯、二甲苯、單氯 苯、二氯苯等芳香族類;甲氧基乙醇、乙氧基乙醇等溶纖 劑類(cellosolve);已院、戊垸、環已院、甲基環已院 等碳氫化合物類等。
記錄層的膜厚係 100A〜10 " m,理想爲 200〜2000A 者爲適當。 《下拉層》. 下拉層係爲了( 1 )提升接著性,(2 )隔絕水分或氣 體,(3 )提升記錄層的儲存穩定性,(4 )提升反射率, (5 )保護基板不受溶劑侵蝕,(6 )形成引導溝、引導坑 、預刻格式等目的而設置。對於目的(1 ),可使用離子 聚合物樹脂(i〇nomer resin )、聚醯胺樹脂、乙烯系樹脂 '天然樹脂、天然高分子、矽膠、液狀橡膠等各種高分子 化合物’或矽烷耦合劑等。對於目的(2 )及(3 ),除了 上記高分子材料外,可使用 SiO、MgF、Si02、TiO、ZnO 、TiN、SiN等無機化合物,甚至可使用Zn、Cu、Ni、Cr 、Ge、Se、Au、Ag、A1等金屬或半金屬。對於目的(4 )’可使用Al、An、Ag等金屬或甲川染料、二苯駢吡喃 (xanthene )系染料等所成之具有金屬光澤的有機薄膜。 對於目的(5 )及(6 ),可使用紫外線硬化樹脂、熱硬化 -22- 1300555 (19) 樹脂、熱可塑性樹脂等。 下拉層的膜厚係0.01〜30/zm,理想爲0.05〜10//m 者爲適當。 《反射層》 反射層的材料雖然可列舉有Au、Ag、Cr、Ni、A1、 Fe、Sn等單體而獲得高反射率隻難以腐触的金屬或半金 屬,但站在反射率和生產性的觀點來看,以 Au、Ag、A1 爲尤其理想。又,這些金屬或半金屬可單獨使用或可爲2 種以上之合金的方式而使用。 膜形成法可列舉如蒸著法、濺鍍法等,膜厚係5 0〜 5000人,理想爲100〜3000A〇 《保護層、基板面硬覆層》 保護層及基板面硬覆層,係爲了(1)保護記錄層( 反射吸收層)免於損傷、灰塵、汙垢等,(2 )提升記錄 層(反射吸收層)的儲存穩定性,(3 )提升反射率等目 的而使用。對於這些目的,可使用相同於前記下拉層的材 料。或是’聚丙烯酸甲酯樹脂、聚碳酸酯樹脂、環氧樹脂 、聚苯乙烯樹脂、聚酯樹脂、纖維素樹脂、脂肪族碳氫化 物樹脂、天然橡膠、苯乙烯-丁二烯樹脂(styrene-butadiene resin)、氯丁二烯樹脂(chl〇r〇prene resin)、 躐、醇酸樹脂(alkyd resin )、乾性油、松香油等熱軟化 l'生、熱融熔丨生樹S曰等有機材料。最理想的是生產性優的紫 -23- 1300555 (20) 外線硬化樹脂。 保護層或基板面硬覆層的膜厚係0.01-爲 0.05 〜10// m〇 上記下拉層、保護層及基板面硬覆層中 層的情形同樣地含有安定劑、分散劑、難燃 電防止劑、界面活性劑、可塑劑等。 《保護基板》 保護基板雖然在從保護基板側照射雷射 射呈透明,但在單純當作保護板使用時亦可 能夠使用之保護基板材料係和前記基板 ,可使用聚酯樹脂、聚丙烯酸樹脂、聚醯胺 酯樹脂、聚烯烴樹脂、酚樹脂、環氧樹脂、 等塑膠,或是玻璃、陶瓷、金屬等。 《接著層》 接著層的材料,只要是能將兩片記錄媒 任何材料均可,若考慮生產性,則以紫外線 或熱融型接著劑爲理想。 其次說明本發明的記錄再生裝置。 記錄大容量資訊的裝置一般雖使用光碟 是藉由光碟驅動器(記錄再生裝置)而進行 處,說明光碟和光碟驅動器的構成。 DVD-RAM · WO、DVD-R、DVD + R、及 3 0 // m,理想 ,亦可和記錄 劑、滑劑、帶 光時必須對雷 不透明。 材料完全相同 樹脂、聚碳酸 聚醯亞胺樹脂 體予以接著的 硬化型接著劑 ,但光碟通常 記錄再生。此 DVD-RAM、 -24- 1300555 (21) DVD-RW、DVD + RW碟片,係屬於可寫入(可記錄)DVD (Digital Versatile Disc ) 。D V D - R A Μ · W Ο、D V D - R、 DVD + R係屬於只能寫入一次的DVD (又稱DVD Write Once )。又,DVD-RAM、DVD-RW、DVD + RW 是屬於可 多次寫入的DVD。這些DVD + R或DVD + RW碟片等光碟 ,是藉.由以下圖1 0所示驅動器而進行資訊的記錄再生。 圖1 〇係針對光碟驅動器,將其槪要構成之一例予以 圖示之功能方塊圖。圖中,1 1係光碟,1 2係轉軸馬達, 1 3係光拾取器’ 1 4係馬達驅動器,1 5係讀取放大器,1 6 係伺服手段,17係DVD解碼器,18係ADIP解碼器,19 係雷射控制器,2(U系DVD編碼器,21係DVD-ROM編碼 器,22係緩衝RAM,23係緩衝管理器,24係DVD-ROM .解碼器,25係ATAPI/SCSI介面,26係D/A轉換器,27 係 ROM,28 係 CPU,29 係 RAM,LB 係雷射光,Audio 係音訊輸出訊號。 該圖1 〇中,箭頭係資料主要流動方向,又,爲了簡 化圖示.,控制圖1 0各方塊的CPU28上,只標注粗線而省 略了和各方塊的連接。ROM27內,存放著以CPU28能夠 解讀的程式碼所編寫成的控制程式。此外,一旦光碟驅動 器的電源呈ON狀態’則前記程式會被載入主記憶體(未 圖示),前記CPU28係聽從該程式而控制上記各部的動 作,同時將控制所必須的資料等暫存在R A Μ 2 9。 光碟驅動器的構成和動作,係如下所述。光碟1 1係 藉由轉軸馬達1 2而被旋轉驅動。該轉軸馬達1 2係藉由馬 -25- 1300555 (22) 達驅動器1 4和伺服手段1 6,以線速度或角速度一定的方 式而控制。該線速度或角速度,亦可階段性地變更。 光拾取器13,係將未圖示的半導體雷射、光學系、 對焦致動器、尋軌致動器、受光元件及位置感測器予以內 藏,將雷射光LB照射至光碟1 1。又,該光拾取器13, 係可藉.由尋覓馬達而往滑橇方向移動。這些對焦致動器、 尋軌致動器、尋覓馬達,係根據得自受光元件和位置感測 器之訊號,藉由馬達驅動器1 4和伺服手段1 6,控制雷射 光LB的光點落在光碟1 1上的目的場所。 然後,在讀取時,藉由光拾取器13所得之再生訊號 ,被讀取放大器15增幅並予以二値化後,輸入至DVD解 碼器17。所輸入之二値化資料,於該DVD解碼器17中 ,進行8/1 6解調。此外,記錄資料係經過每8位元總結 而調變(8 /1 6調變),該調變中,8位元會轉換成1 6位 元。此時,結合位元,係以使得至此爲止的「1」和「0」 的數量呈平均均等的方式而被附加。此稱爲「DC成份之 控制」,可壓抑經過DC切斷之再生訊號的切片位準變動 〇 經過解調後的資料’會進行去交錯(de-interleave) 和錯誤訂正處理。之後,該資料會被輸入至DVD-ROM解 碼器24,爲了提高資料信賴性而再進行錯誤訂正處理。 如此經過兩次錯誤訂正處理的資料,藉由緩衝管理器23 而暫時積存在緩衝RAM22中,在區段資料到齊的狀態下 ,透過ATAPI/SCSI介面25,一口氣傳送至未圖示的主機 -26- (23) 1300555 電腦。此外,在音樂資料的情況中’來自DVD解碼器1 7 所輸出之資料,會被輸入至D/A轉換器26,以類比的音 訊輸出訊號Audio的方式而取出。 又,在寫入時,從主機電腦通過A TAP 1/SCSI介面25 送來的資料,藉由緩衝管理器23暫時積存在緩衝RAM 2 2 •內。之後,雖然寫入動作開始,但在此情況中,在此之前 必須要令雷射光點落在寫入開始地點。該地點,在 DVD + RW/ + R上,是藉由預先在光碟 Π上以軌道蛇行方 式而預刻之搖擺訊號而求得。 此外,上記地點在DVD-RW/-R上係取代搖擺訊號而 是改爲藉由凸軌預刻坑求得,在DVD-RAM/RAM· WO上 則是改爲藉由預刻坑求得。 DVD + RW/ + R上的搖擺訊號中,含有稱爲 ADIP ( ADress In Pre-groove)的位址資訊’該資訊系藉由ADIP 解碼器1 8取出。又,該AD IP解碼器18所生成之同步訊 號,係被輸入至DVD編碼器20,使得資料的寫入可在光 碟 Η上的正確位置進行。緩衝RAM22的資料,係於 DVD-ROM編碼器21或DVD編碼器20中,進行錯誤訂正 碼的附加或交錯處理,透過雷射控制器1 9、光拾取器1 3 ,以本發明之記錄波形,記錄至光碟1 1。 本發明1 4的記錄再生裝置,因爲具有以下機能:對 於在基板的引導溝內具有搖擺之色素系追記型DVD媒體 ’將最短標記以輸出高於其他標記的脈衝進行記錄,將由 短數來第3以降長度的記錄標記,以一脈衝後端部是被一 -27- 1300555 (24) 定時間高輸出化,且該已高輸出化之脈衝功率是等於第2 短之標記的脈衝功率的脈衝光進行記錄;而在以再生光來 再生該記錄時,在前記標記記錄時,對全部標記的上記脈 衝的後端部以降照射冷卻脈衝,且令該照射光量,在一定 時間爲0.1 mW以下,而進行記錄再生,因此可實現高線 速下的高品質記錄。 又,本發明15之記錄再生裝置,因爲具有以下機能 :將由短數來第3以降長度的記錄標記,以一脈衝的前端 部和後端部兩處是被一定時間高輸出化,且該已高輸出化 之脈衝功率是等於第2短之標記的脈衝功率的脈衝光進行 記錄,因此可更進一步提升高線速下的記錄品質。本發明 1 6之記錄再生裝置,因爲具有以下機能:將對脈衝後端 部以降照射冷卻脈衝的時間,設成最短長度空白的1 /6〜 6/6之長度,因此藉由採用更理想的冷卻脈沖範圍,可更 進一步提升記錄品質。 再者,本發明17之記錄再生裝置,因爲具有以下機 能:將形成前方空白長爲最短長之標記的記錄脈衝列的開 頭加熱脈衝寬度,以該標記的長度是否爲最短長來加以區 別,而將最短長標記的開頭加熱脈衝寬度,設定成長於非 最短長標記的開頭加熱脈衝寬度;且,將形成最短長標記 之記錄脈衝列的開頭加熱脈衝寬度,以該最短長標記的.前 方空白長是否爲最短長來加以區別,而將前方空白長爲最 短之標記的開頭加熱脈衝寬度,設定成短於前方空白長爲 非最短之標記的開頭加熱脈衝寬度,因此可實現局品質記 -28- 1300555 (25) 錄,亦即低顫動化。 又,位址資訊的取得方式,亦可爲根據凸軌預刻坑或 預刻坑來取得位址資訊的方式。 圖11係使用了圖所不光碟驅動器之資訊處理裝置 的槪略圖。資訊處理裝置50,係具備主控制裝置51、介 面52、記錄裝置53、輸入裝置54及顯示裝置55。 主控制裝置51,係含有CPU (中央處理裝置、微電 腦)、主記憶體(皆未圖示)等而構成,是控制主機電腦 的整體運作。 介面52,係屬於和光碟驅動器進行雙向通訊的介面 ,是依照ATAPI及SCSI等標準的介面。介面52係和前 樹脂光碟驅動器的ATAPI/SCSI介面25相連接。此外, 各介面間的連接形態,並非只是使用通訊纜線(例如 SCSI纜線)等通訊線的纜線連接,亦可爲使用紅外線之 無線連接。 記錄裝置53 ( HDD、硬碟)內,存放著以能夠被主 控制裝置5 1的微電腦解讀之程式碼所撰寫成的程式。此 外,一旦資訊處理裝置的電源呈ON狀態,則前記程式會 被載入主控制裝置5 1的主記憶體。 顯示裝置55,例如係具備CRT、液晶顯示器(LCD )、電漿顯示器(PDP)等顯示部(圖示省略),顯示來 自控制裝置的各種資訊。 輸入裝置54,例如係具備鍵盤、滑鼠、指標裝置等 其中至少一者之輸入媒體(圖示省略),將來自使用者所 -29- 1300555 (26) 輸入之各種資訊通知至主控制裝置5 1。又,顯示裝置和 輸入裝置一體化者有例如付有觸控面板的CRT等。又, 資訊處理裝置係搭載著作業系統(0S )。然後,構成資 訊處理裝置的所有裝置是受到〇 S所管理。 若根據本發明,則可對色素系追記型D V D媒體,以 任意線速度都能進行低顫動、低錯誤率的記錄,可以較 DVD-R上所用之凸軌預刻坑格式更爲簡易就能製造之高 頻搖擺格式來有效率地實施資料部的追記。而且,可對幾 乎相同於目前已經大量製造的CD-R、CD-RW的同一格式 之色素系追記型DVD媒體進行記錄。 【實施例】 以下將就實施例和比較例來更具體說明本發明,但本 發明並非侷限於這些實施例。 實施例1〜9、比較例1〜6 在具有:溝深1 660A,半値寬 0.38 // m,軌道間距 0.74 //m,搖擺頻率相當於 32T之厚度 〇.6mm、外徑 12 0mm之射出成形聚碳酸酯基板上,將下記化合物1和 化合物2之色素化合物以重量比65:3 5秤量之,溶解於 2,2,3,3-四氟-1-丙醇中然後旋轉塗佈,形成厚度900A的 有機色素層後,以8 5 °C乾燥3 0分鐘。 其次,藉由濺鍍法設置厚度1 1〇〇A的Ag反射層,更 於其上設置丙烯酸系光聚合物所成之厚度的保護層 -30- 1300555 (27) 後,將厚度0.6mm、外徑120mm之射出成形聚碳酸酯平 板基板,以丙烯酸系光聚合物予以接著而得光記錄媒體。
化合物2 <記錄再生條件> 對上記光記錄媒體,使用振盪波長660nm、束徑0.9 //m之半導體雷射光,一邊尋軌一邊將EFM訊號(最小 凹坑長約0.4 // m ),以下記表2所示的記錄條件和記錄 線速,以Bottom Jitter (底端顫動)呈極小的記錄功率進
行記錄,將該地點予以再生而求出顫動値、非對稱性、PI 錯誤數。此外,記錄雷射光的波形係如同圖4〜圖9所示 。又,W0係最短長標記的脈沖功率,W 1係第2短標記的 功率或由短數來第3以降之長度的標記的追加功率,W2 -31 - 1300555 (28) 係由短數來第3以降之長度的標記的無追加功率。再者, 線速21m/s和2 8m/s的脈沖長,雖然使用圖4〜圖9所示 的脈沖長,但本發明並非侷限於此。 又,比較例1中,比較例1中,令冷卻脈沖部的光量 爲〇 . 7m W和再生光功率相同。亦即是不存在冷卻脈沖的 記錄波形。比較例2中,令冷卻脈沖部的光量爲0.4 m W 是大於本發明者。比較例3中,和比較例1同樣地沒有冷 卻脈沖,而使記錄線速爲高線速。實施例8係將冷卻脈沖 長設成0.4T是爲短於本發明最短空白長3T的1/6,亦即 短於〇 . 5 T之例子。 -32- 1300555 (29)

- (1) 十、申請專利範圍 第93 1 25 546號專利申請案 中文申請專利範圍修正本 民國95年9月1日修正 1·一種色素系追記型DVD媒體之記錄再生方法,其 特徵爲,對於在具有設置搖擺(wobble )之引導溝的基板 上所形成之以有機色素爲主成份的記錄層,將最短標記以 輸出高於其他標記的脈衝進行記錄,將由短數來第3以降 長度的記錄標記,以一脈衝後端部是被一定時間高輸出化 ® ’且該已高輸出化之脈衝功率是等於第2短之標記的脈衝 功率的脈衝光進行記錄;在標記記錄時,對全部標記的上 ~ 記脈衝的後端部以降照射冷卻脈衝,且令該照射光量,在 · 一定時間爲0.1 mW以下。 2·如申請專利範圍第1項之記錄再生方法,其中,將 由短數來第3以降長度的記錄標記,以一脈衝的前端部和 後端部兩處是被一定時間高輸出化,且該已高輸出化之脈 衝功率是等於第2短之標記的脈衝功率的脈衝光進行記錄 · 〇 3 ·如申請專利範圍第1項之記錄再生方法,其中,將 對脈衝後端部以降照射冷卻脈衝的時間,設成最短長度空 白的1/6〜6/6之長度。 4.如申請專利範圍第1項之記錄再生方法,其中,將 形成前方空白長爲最短長之標記的記錄脈衝列的開頭加熱 脈衝寬度,以該標記的長度是否爲最短長來加以區別,而 1300555 (2) 將最短長標記的開頭加熱脈衝寬度,設定成長於非最短長 標記的開頭加熱脈衝桌度,且’將形成最短長標記之記錄 脈衝列的開頭加熱脈衝寬度,以該最短長標記的前方空白 長是否爲最短長來加以區別,而將前方空白長爲最短之標 記的開頭加熱脈衝寬度,設定成短於前方空白長爲非最短 之標記的開頭加熱脈衝寬度。 5 -如申請專利範圍第1項之記錄再生方法,其中,前 記搖擺係爲高頻搖擺,該高頻搖擺(wobble ),係設定成 令基本時脈週期爲T時相當於4T〜9 6T之頻率。 6.如申請專利範圍第1項之記錄再生方法,其中,將 高頻搖擺的振幅(Wo ),和藉由2分割光偵測器進行軌 道錯誤偵測控制所需之軌道錯誤偵測訊號的推挽振幅(PP )的比値「Wo/PP」,是以O.lSWo/PPSO.4之範圍而同 步契合。 7 ·如申請專利範圍第1項之記錄再生方法,其中,記 錄光的波長爲600〜720nm。 8 ·如申請專利範圍第1項之記錄再生方法,其中,相 對於記錄光及再生光的波長±5nm之波長帶的光,記錄層 單層的折射率η爲1.5$η$3·0,且消光係數k爲0.02Sk $ 0·2。 9.如申請專利範圍第1項之記錄再生方法,其中,記 錄層的分解開始溫度爲100〜3 60 °C。 1 0 .如申請專利範圍第1項之記錄再生方法’其中, 光記錄媒體是在基板上,做爲除了記錄層以外的構成層, -2- 1300555具有:反射層、保護層、接著層、保護基板、基板面硬覆 層從中選擇至少一層。 11 ·如申請專利範圍第1 〇項之記錄再生方法,其中, 反射層是由金、銀、鋁之任一,或這些爲主成份之合金。 12·如申請專利範圍第10項之記錄再生方法,其中, 保護層是由紫外線硬化樹脂所成。 13·如申請專利範圍第10項之記錄再生方法,其中, 將兩片基板貼合而成爲雙面構成之記錄媒體所須之接著層 是被設置在該基板間,且該接著層所用的接著劑是紫外線 · 硬化樹脂。 14.一種記錄再生裝置,其特徵爲,具有以下機能: ’ 對於在基板的引導溝內具有搖擺之色素系追記型DVD媒 - 體,將最短標記以輸出高於其他標記的脈衝進行記錄,將 由短數來第3以降長度的記錄標記,以一脈衝後端部是被 一定時間高輸出化,且該已高輸出化之脈衝功率是等於第 2短之標記的脈衝功率的脈衝光進行記錄;在標記記錄時 ,對全部標記的上記脈衝的後端部以降照射冷卻脈衝,且 ® 令該照射光量,在一定時間爲0.1 mW以下,而進行記錄 再生。 1 5 .如申請專利範圍第1 4項之記錄再生裝置,其中, 具有以下機能:將由短數來第3以降長度的記錄標記,以 一脈衝的前端部和後端部兩處是被一定時間高輸出化,且 該已高輸出化之脈衝功率是等於第2短之標記的脈衝功率 的脈衝光進行記錄之機能。 -3- 1300555 (4) 1 6 ·如申請專利範圍第1 4項之記錄再生裝置,其中, 具有以下機能:將對脈衝後端部以降照射冷卻脈衝的時間 ,設成最短長度空白的1/6〜6/6之長度。 1 7 ·如申請專利範圍第1 4項之記錄再生裝置,其中, 具有以下機能:將形成前方空白長爲最短長之標記的記錄 脈衝列的開頭加熱脈衝寬度,以該標記的長度是否爲最短 長來加以區別,而將最短長標記的開頭加熱脈衝寬度,設 定成長於非最短長標記的開頭加熱脈衝寬度;且,將形成 最短長標記之記錄脈衝列的開頭加熱脈衝寬度,以該最短 長標記的前方空白長是否爲最短長來加以區別,而將前方 空白長爲最短之標記的開頭加熱脈衝寬度’設定成短於前 方空白長爲非最短之標記的開頭加熱脈衝寬度。 -4-
