1344351 九、發明說明: 【發明所屬之技術領域】 本發明係關於一種具阻隔性能之結合多重包裝容器組成;該多重包裝 容器組成係可彼此分離。 【先前技術】 習知之多重包裝容器組成係用以存放數種不同物體。諸如優格和布丁 等單人份供應之冷藏食物產品可藉由此等多重包裝容器組成而將每一人份 產品單獨包裝。此等多重包裝容器組成通常包含若干相互結合之容器,以 組成一單份個別封裝之整體包裝。消費者可由該多重包裝上拆離—容器以 取用容器中的產品。 通常’習知之多重包裝容器組成係以熱成型聚苯乙稀製成。對網熟製 作容器技術人士而言,熱成型為此技術領域之習知技術。於熱成型過程中, 可將具有-厚度之熱塑性樹脂片夾設於—夾具,以—爐具或加熱站加熱該 熱塑性樹月曰片之邊緣及中心部位,因此當該樹脂片稍後送至成型站時,可 達成平均之整體溫度。加熱中’雜脂片輸送到成型站,於此藉由數種方 式之-使其於-模具上塑型。該樹脂片的熱塑型可由不同的習知技術達 成,例如將真空制於模具中或長條模賤助將職片塑造為容器 雜。歸的餘可錢碰去除。冷卻後,將末端產品從滅型站上取 下並送往切邊機進行切割。 聚苯乙稀的缺點之—疋其濕氣阻隔性能*佳。目此,雜聚苯乙稀對 於冷藏食品如祕和布了具有理想_雜能,鱗於需料具高濕氣阻 1344351 隔!·生Μ存放的低渔度點心食品卻不甚理想。而聚胁類,如聚丙稀,則 不同於聚苯乙稀’而具紐為良好的減阻隔性能。 使用如聚㈣等輯㈣的缺點之—是其具有高度抗撕雜。抗撕裂 性係針對職㈣耐受度職_定。由於聚_的高度抗補性,它通 常用於「活動_」。活動樞軸為—塑膠彈性樞軸,與容器或包裝的其他部 刀換製為ϋ ’用以連接其頂部及底$卜聚丙烯的補性能使得該拖轴可 反覆彎折而不會«。因此,聚丙馳裝並不利於製作可分料重包裝容 器組成。於是,傳統上欲製作聚丙雜多重包裝容驗耕,係採用卡紙 以將若干獨立容器結合在—起。然而,製造結合分離式聚丙稀容器的卡紙 加工過程所費不貲。由於除了轉原料外尚需關卡紙,因而使得原料費 用提南。此外’為_卡_合各個獨立容器,必須另行備置處理卡紙的 機具’因此組裝成本亦相對提高。卡紙結合聚丙烯容器的另—缺點為消費 者必須完全撕計紙,錢將已結合之容H彼此分離;而各賴立容器_ 但彼此拆離,便無法如其結合時般便於收納。 美國專利第5543104及5409127號揭露由高密度聚乙稀(HDpE)射出模 製之容驗成。HOPE容ϋ雖確有濕氣瞻_,騎缺找氣阻隔性能。 為提高存放其中食物產品之保存期限,塑膠食物容器必須具備適當的 租隔性能以保護食品之水分散失,並防止外來水氣或氧氣侵入容器中。於 習用技術巾’係將數片各別具有不肺隔性能之聚合物片材結合為多層結 構’以達成上述之效能。建構此一容器之主要目標係在製作一片材層疊容 器,使其所需成本降至最低,同時使其具有適度之光線、水氣及氧氣阻隔 1344351 性,而不影響容器内所盛裝食品之風味。 例如,已知EVOH為-有助減少氧氣渗入容器之優良氧氣阻隔物,且 並已成功應用於與如聚乙;聚丙稀(pp)之結合。因此於一容器中,可由聚 乙稀及pp提供水氣阻隔性能,而ά EV0H提供氧氣阻隔性能。使用ev〇h 製作食品容器之另—優點在於其可防止油脂轉移,不論是由其他片材層轉 移至產品或由產品溶濾至容器壁面之油脂轉移均可避免。例如,當容器中 之一層使用消費後回收(post_consumer regr〇und,pCR)聚稀烴樹脂時, EVOH可作為一有效之阻隔物’防止pCR樹脂溶濾入至於容器内之食品 中。EVOH層亦為-有效之劫奪阻隔物,其可防止對包裝时物油脂或油 溶性調味料之吸收。 然而,上述由多層聚合物片材疊製而成之容器難以經由射出模製加工 方式製造,由於射出模製加工係將一經液化之塑膠混合物注入模具,藉以 形成一不具氡氣阻隔層之混合物,因而無法製造出層疊安排之結構。並且, 備置射出模具所耗成本亦相當高昂。因此,亟需研發一種具阻隔性能之可 分離結合多重包裝容器的製造方法,該等容器可供製造者選擇將容器製成 一具有水氣阻隔性或一具有氡氣阻隔性之容器。 【發明内容】 本發明係提供一製造具阻隔性能之可分離結合多重包裝容器的方法。 在一實施例中,本案提供一種製造可分離結合多重包裝容器組成的方法, έ玄谷器組成可用以盛裝低溼度,具保存穩定性之即食食物產品。根據本案 之一實施例,係以聚稀烴片提供濕氣阻隔性能。並且,根據本案之一實施 1344351 例’係以_於該聚_片上之EWH細提供魏阻驗能。於相鄰容 器凸緣間設-通道,其於便利相鄰容器分離之同時,並可避免該凸緣區域 遭不經意撕裂之狀況。本發明之上述及其他特點與優點將藉由以下之詳細 敘述加以闡明。 【實施方式】 第一圖為根據本案一實施例,係為一具有六個獨立容器(n〇)之熱成型 夕重包裝谷器組成(100)之立體外觀圖。在此使用之熱成型加工固然為業界 之習知技術,但該熱成型加工應視為包含其他相等加工方式,譬如加壓成 型或真空成型加工。該多重包裝容器組成(丨⑻)包含若干獨立容器(HO),其 中每-容器之頂部周緣包含-外伸凸緣(120卜各相鄰容器⑴〇)係透過設於 相鄰谷器凸緣(丨20)間之一經設計之脆弱區域或通道(丨30)為可分離式地結 合。在此所用之通道(130)相當於介於相鄰容器凸緣(12〇)間之一削薄區域, 其作用在於便利將容器分離。此處之「削薄區域」並非由刻痕或穿孔造成, 而係指s亥通道厚度(132)(如第四圖所續'示’並於下文詳述者)較薄且小於該凸 緣(120)之厚度。 根據一實施例’該通道(130)僅接觸容器長度或容器寬度之一部份。因 此,在一實施例中,容器組成(100)之一部份(〗4〇)可於熱成型作業之中或之 後被切除或修剪。於一實施例中,該部分(14〇)係於容器成型後以切邊機剪 除。雖然第一圖描繪之多重包裝容器組成具有六個獨立容器,但本發明之 概念係包含兩個及以上數量之獨立容器。於一實施例中,該通道(13〇)可於 容器成型後以切邊機製成。 1344351 第二圖為根據本案-實施例…貼有EVOH之多層片材之剖面圖。於 本圖所示之實施例中,外側之聚丙烯層(212)f鄰—消f後回收樹脂⑵4), 該消費後回收樹脂(214)係經由一第一黏性層(216),如改性聚乙稀,黏附於 - EVOH層(218)。接著該EVOH層(218)藉由一第二雛層(22〇)黏附於内 側消費後时細旨(222)。最近產品綱聚丙騎(223)則為濕氣阻隔層。 多層片材中之回收樹脂層(214)(212)的製成,係可將圖一中示數14〇所 標示的部分剪切下的材料再送回壓出機f成片材,或將回收材料與本發明 所適用之該多層片材共同擠出或與該多層片材貼合。 於貫施例中,該多層片材為將一具有濕氣阻隔性能之材料、一具有 氧氣阻隔性能之材料與另一具有水氣阻隔性能依序貼合而成。 於一實施例中,該具有水氣阻隔性能之材料係為聚稀烴。任一種蒸氣 傳導率低於約25g/day/m2/mil(38°C,9G%相難度)之聚雜,或健者為蒸 氣傳導率低於約4.825g/day/m2/mil(38°C,90%相對溼度)之聚稀烴,即為具 有所需水氣阻隔性能而可應用於本發明之原料。於一實施例中,具有濕氣 阻隔性能之聚稀烴包含聚丙烯,或在另一實施例中,該聚稀烴包含高密度 聚乙烯。 於一實施例中,該具有氧氣阻隔性能之材料係為EV〇H。任一種氧氣 傳導率低於約1.92CC/day/m2/mil(73〇F,0°/。相對溼度)之聚稀烴,或較佳者為 氧氣傳導率低於約〇4沈/(1町/1112/1^1(73卞,〇%相對溼度)之聚豨烴即為具有 所需氧氣阻隔性能而可應用於本發明之原料。 第三圖係第一圖多重包裝容器組成之側視圖,顯示相鄰容器(110)凸緣 9 1344351 〇2〇)間之脆弱區域(U0)。第四圖係—放大側視圖,用以說明第三圖中之通 道。為簡化圖面’圖三及圖四中並未繪示阻氣包裝膜。如第三及第四圖所 顯示,該通道(no)將相鄰容器(110)為可分離式地結合。該通道⑽)可於熱 成型加工中以一平面模盤製成,亦可以一刀具製成。該通道(13〇)並具有一 通道厚度(132)及-通道寬度(134)。藉由該通道(_,可控制不易撕裂的原 料如聚丙烯之撕裂範圍。 參照第四圖,於-實施例中,該通道厚度(132)係小於該凸緣(12〇)厚度 之一半。該凸緣(120)厚度與該通道厚度(丨32)之顯著高差可確保發生於該通 道(130)之撕裂順利且不致損及該凸緣(丨2〇)。於一實施例中,該通道厚度(132) 大於約1密爾。於一實施例中,該通道厚度(132)為約5密爾。於一實施例 中》玄四緣(120)具有-大於5达、爾之厚度。於一實施例中,該凸緣(12〇)於 夾入模具前具有一大於約10密爾至50密爾之厚度,而夾入模具後約為5 密爾至45冑爾。於-實施例中,該凸緣⑽)於夹入模具前具有一大於約 25密爾至35密爾之厚度,而夾入模具後之厚度約為2〇密爾至3〇密爾。 雖然第四圖中通道(130)的底部似由相鄰凸緣(丨2〇)的底部構成,然此示 例僅為說明之用而非為本發明之限制。例如,該通道頂部可能為該凸緣(丨2 〇) 的頂部延伸,或者該通道可由該凸緣的頂部和底部構成階梯狀。本發明之 範圍包含上述之各種結構。 第五圖係一放大上視圖,用以說明第三圖中之經設計之脆弱區域或通 道(130)。可藉設穿孔便於兩凸緣間之撕裂或分離。該通道寬度(Π4)之尺寸 和形狀可容納一用以穿孔之刀具於該通道厚度(132)上穿孔。該通道寬度 (134)可設計為足供一刀具或其他穿孔工具精確放置於該通道(135)中以俾便 穿孔之尺寸。於一實施例中’該通道寬度(134)約大於2〇密爾。於一實施例 中,該通道寬度(134)約介於20至1〇〇密爾之間。於一實施例中,該通道寬 度(134)係由該刀具形成並一與製成該通道(丨3〇)之刀具同寬。 s亥穿孔可為各種形式之切口(136)與繫結處(138)之組成。切口(136)係穿 透通道厚度而繫結處(138)之功能在於連結兩凸緣(12〇)。此等切口(丨36)可於 容器成型後藉由切邊機完成。參照第四及第五圖,該通道厚度(132)可取決 於若干因素,包括採用原料之硬度、凸緣分離之難易度、穿孔或切口(136) 之長度以及繫結處(138)之長度。同樣地,為達成期望的撕裂控制度,亦可 調整切口(136)之長度以及繫結處(138)之長度。「保留比率」為材料穿孔後, 未切割之原料百分比。最佳保留比率取決於原料特性及通道厚度(132)。穿 孔(136)的實際長度可經由試驗得知。通道(13〇)的可變因素包含通道厚度 (132)應為最佳化,俾於容器彼此分離時,撕裂可控制於經設計的脆弱區域 内而不會涉及容器凸緣區域(120)。 再次參照第四圖,該通道深度可定義為該凸緣〇2〇)厚度與通道厚度 (132)之高差。在-實關中’通道寬度(ι34)基本上與通道深度相當。因此, 在-實施例中’該通道(130)大體上概呈⑽。此等結構點之一為穿孔 裝置落於通道槽⑽)中之任何位置時’ 刀口(丨36)厚度大體皆與通道厚度 (132)相當,而不像V形通道會產生切口厚度變化的情形。 V形通道之*理想祕在其通道槽位於v字形頂點處之通道厚度最小 的部位僅限於-極窄區域。此外’若因待穿孔原料的數量較多或其通道厚 1344351 度(132)增加’裁切設備可能未能準確定位於通道槽頂點或v形通道中央, 而造成消費者從容器組成撕裂聚丙烯以取下容器時之操作困難。並且,被 撕斷的繫結處(138)長度會因增加的通道厚度而更為銳利,使得消費者在使 用取下谷器時產生不便。然而,若所使用之穿孔方式十分精確時則可使用V 形通道。因此,於一實施例中(未繪示),該通道可呈V字形。 於本發明之一實施例中,該通道(130)於該凸緣(122)與該通道(130)交界 處形成一個或一個以上之通道牆面〇24)。於一實施例中,至少一該通道牆 面(124)與該凸緣呈正交。於一實施例中,該通道(13〇)與至少一該通道牆面 (124)呈正交。於一實施例中,該通道(13〇)包含筆直牆面或與該穿孔切口製 作方向平行之牆面。 第/、圖係一立體外觀圖,描繪由第一圖之多重包裝容器組成上取下一 容器之情形。如第六圖所示,可將該第一容器(21〇)依箭號(15〇)之方向扳起 以破壞繫結處(138),沿通道(130)製造一在控制下的撕裂動作以便將該第一 容器(210)與該第二容器(31〇)分離。然而,亦可不需扳起該第一容器(21〇), 而僅以拉力將該第一容器(21〇)與該第二容器(31〇)分離。若無該通道之設 置,撕裂之操作將難以控制,同時於取下該第一容器(21〇)時,很可能不慎 損及該第一容器(210)或第二容器(31〇)之凸緣(12〇)區域。若於取下容器時撕 裂部位波及凸緣區域或阻氣包裝膜,將可能造成容器内容物之潑灑,或將 致使食物產品提早暴露於空氣中。 本發明具有以下之優點。首先,本發明提供一種製造可分離結合多重 包裝容器組成的方法,該容器組成可用以盛裝低溼度,具保存穩定性之即 12 1344351 食食物產品。本發較4包裝容n㈣具備錢阻隔性並可一需要 增加氧氣阻。此外’於—實施例中,本發賴供—種有助維持並增加 食品或非食物氧敏產品保存期限之多重㈣容器。虹,本發明提供一種 由可蒸煮原料製成之多重包I容器,而可用以盛裝需以熱填充或熱殺菌之 食物產品,例如包含沙㈣和蕃㈣等的調咮汁或#料H以往聚丙 烯或聚稀_包裝物所需之間接包裝可藉以免除。另外,藉由本發明之容 器’不需先行拆開食品包裝,並將食品分裝至另—容器,如塑膠袋,即可 輕易將單人份量的食品個別包裝,方便攜帶。 其次,-但產品被取用,包裝即隨之消失。因此,本發_由使剩餘 的包裝物數量㈣於·的食物產品數量,而實現使食品儲藏室中「消失 包裝」的概念。此外,各單位的食物產品係結合為一體,而不似以卡紙結 合的包裝。 第二,相較於以卡纸結合的單份式聚丙烯產品,多重包裝容器用於熱 成型加工可產生較高之氣穴現象及較大產量。 第四,ό亥通道分離容器間的區域有助於確保該阻氣包裝膜於穿孔步驟 時更易戳穿或切斷,藉以確保拆取容器時,其批連容器上之阻氣包裝膜不 致被連帶撕裂。 在此所用「包裝」一詞,視為包括任何含有聚烯烴片的食物容器。雖 則在此討論的層體和片材係經零食產品包裝之加工過程考量,該多重包裝 容器亦可用於包裝非食物產品。雖然本案是以一個最佳實施例做說明,但 精於此技藝者能在不脫離本案精神與範疇下做各種不同形式的改變。以上
