Abstract
The present invention relates to a method of three-dimensional surface shape measurement by using encoded datum points, wherein the encoded datum points are the codes constructed by spatially distributed points or lines, such as the binary codes. The method includes the following steps: pasting or adhering to the encoded datum points to a surface of an object (or body), or printing the codes on a tight-fitting dress of a person; using a pre-adjusted camera to shoot a three-dimensional images of the object covered entirely with encoded datum points; and determining a surface shape of the object after all the three-dimensional images containing the encoded datum points are shot. Since this kind of three-dimensional surface shape measuring apparatus and method utilize the way of encoded datum points without projecting encoded optical pattern, pre-adjusted structural light or laser onto the object surface, the three-dimensional surface shape measurement can be easily achieved.
