Abstract

A method for joining heat tubes to a base plate, including the steps of: forming plural apertures in opposite first and second sides of the base plate; placing a heat tube in each of the apertures; pressing a third side of the base plate neighboring the first and second sides by a die to deform the apertures and to tightly join the heat tubes. The above method can eliminate the use of flux to join heat tubes and base plate. The process of clamping by applying a force eliminates the need of precise tolerance between the apertures and heat tubes. As such, this invention is able to not only improve the heat transfer rate between the heat tubes and base plate, but also improve the passing rate of the heat dissipating device.
