Abstract
A method and system for playing ring-back advertisement (RBA) for a telecommunication system are disclosed, the telecommunication system capable of providing communication between clients. According to the present invention, the playing system receives a calling request for a client, then determines whether the client accepts RBA to be played as a ringing signal. If it is determined that the client accepts RBA to be played as the ringing signal, then RBA is played. If it is determined that the client does not accept RBA to be played as the ringing signal, then a preset ringing signal is played.
