Abstract

A polyolefin composition comprising (A) an 5% to 90% irradiated, normally solid, high molecular weight, olefin polymer material with branching index lower than 1 and with cured elongation viscosity selectedbbasically from: (1) a homopolymer of propylene; (2) irregular copolymer of propylene and an olefin selected from ethylene, C4-10 α-olefin in the proviso when the olefin is ethylene, the maximum polymerized ethylene content is 5%, and then the olefin is α-olefin, the maximum α-olefin content is 20%; (3) an olefin polymer composition, basically consisting of: (a) 10 to 50% propylene homopolymer or a copolymer selected from (i) propylene and ethyelene, (ii) propylene, ethylene and CH2=CHRα-olefin, wherein R is C2-8 linear or branched alkyl, and (iii) propylene and a α-olefin, as defined in (a) (ii); (b) 5 to 20% semi-crystalline, basically linear copolymer part measured by DSC as having crystallinity of 20 to 60%, selected from (i) ethylene and propylene with over 55% ethylene, (ii) ethylene, propylene, and a α-olefin as defined in (a) (ii) above, having 1 to 10% α-olefin, and ethylene and α-olefin together between 55% and 98%; and (iii) ethylene and a α-olefin as defined in (a) (ii) above, having more than 55% up to 98% α-olefin, and the copolymer does not dissovle in ditoluene under room temperature or environmental temperature, and (c) 40 to 80% copolymer selected from the copolymers of the following monomers: (i) ethylene and propylene with 20% to 40% ethylene, (ii) ethylene, propylene, and a α-olefin as defined in (a) (ii) above, having 1 to 10% α-olefin, and ethylene and α-olefin between 20% and 40%; and (iii) ethylene and a α-olefin as defined in (a) (ii) above, having more than 20% up to 40% α-olefin, and optionally, having a diene of 0.5 to 10%, and the coplymer dissolves in ditoluene under environmental temperature with a fixed viscosity of 1.7 to 3.0 dl/g, wherein the total weight of (b) and (c) is 65% to 80% based on the total weight of the olefin polymer composition, the (b)/(c) weight ratio si 0.1 to 0.3, and ethylene or C4-8 α-olefin or their combination is less than 50% in the total weight of (b+c); and (B) a 95% to 10% non-irradiated propylene polymer material selected from (1) an olefin polymer composition, basically consisting of: (a) 10 to 50% propylene homopolymer or a coplymer selected from (i) propylene and ethyelene, (ii) propylene, ethylene and CH2=CHRα-olefin, wherein R is C2-8 linear or branched alkyl, and (iii) propylene and a α-olefin, as defined in (a) (ii); (b) 5 to 20% semi-crystalline, basically linear copolymer part measured by DSC as having crystallinity of 20 to 60%, selected from (i) ethylene and propylene with over 55% ethylene, (ii) ethylene, propylene, and a α-olefin as defined in (a) (ii) above, having 1 to 10% α-olefin, and ethylene and α-olefin together between 55% and 98%; and (iii) ethylene and a α-olefin as defined in (a) (ii) above, having more than 55% up to 98% α-olefin, and the copolymer does not dissovle in ditoluene under room temperature or environmental temperature, and (c) 40 to 80% copolymer selected from the copolymers of the following monomers: (i) ethylene and propylene with 20% to 40% ethylene, (ii) ethylene, propylene, and a α-olefin as defined in (a) (ii) above, having 1 to 10% α-olefin, and ethylene and α-olefin between 20% and 40%; and (iii) ethylene and a α-olefin as defined in (a) (ii) above, having more than 20% up to 40% α-olefin, and optionally, having a diene of 0.5 to 10%, and the coplymer dissolves in ditoluene under environmental temperature with a fixed viscosity of 1.7 to 3.0 dl/g, wherein the total weight of (b) and (c) is 65% to 80% based on the total weight of the olefin polymer composition, the (b)/(c) weight ratio si 0.1 to 0.3, and ethylene or C4-8 α-olefin or their combination is less than 50% in the total weight of (b+c); and (2) the composition of (B) (1) and an olefin polymer rubber selected from: (i) an ethylene-propylene copolymer rubber with 40% to 90% ethylene, (ii) an ethylene-butene copolymer rubber with 50% to 90% ethylene, and (iii) an ethylene-propylene-conjugated diene tripolymer rubber with 40% to 77% ethylene and 2% to 10% diene.
