Abstract
A method for producing biaxially extended polypropylene pearl synthetic paper on which printing ink dries quickly, characterized in that a polypropylene resin composition comprising 90-40 wt.% of a high crystallinity polypropylene resin (melt flow index,=2-6) havinga isotacticity greater than 97%, 10-40 wt.% of calcium carbonate composite particles, 0-15 wt.% of titanium dioxide compositeparticles, and 0-5 wt.% of anti-electrostatic agent, and a resin composition comprising 96-99 wt.% of polypropylene and 4-1 wt.% of anti-adhesion agent are extruded separately from a main extruder and two auxiliary extruders (both set at 200-280 deg.C) through one single T-die to give coated sheet of a three-layered structure, the sheet is then cooled by a cooling roller at 15-60 deg.C, longitudinally extended 3-6 times by preheating at 120-150 deg.C, extending and annealing, transversely extended 5-12 times by preheating at 150-190 deg.C, extending and annealing, corona treated under a high frequency wave of 20-150kW, and then winded-up to obtain a coated sheet of thickness under 100(muon)m, and the sheet is then coated with a paper surface treating agent comprising 5-25 wt.% of chlorinated polypropylene resin, 0-10 wt.% of acrylic resin, 15-10 wt.% of calcium carbonate, 5% of white clay, 2-10 wt.% of titanium dioxide, 73-36 wt.% toluene, 0-2 wt.% of anti-electrostatic agent, and 0-2 wt.% ultraviolet light absorber and winded up to give synthetic paper of thickness below 100(muon)m.
