Description
本發明大體上係關於包含空隙化乳膠粒子及UV輻射吸收劑之個人護理組合物。
個人護理組合物含有為使用者提供大量益處之多種添加劑。具體而言,防曬組合物含有提供免受可能損傷皮膚之紫外線(「UV」)輻射的添加劑。UV輻射可歸類為UVA(長波;即,320至400 nm之波長)及UVB(短波;即,290至320 nm之波長)。防曬調配物之功效藉由其防曬係數(「SPF」)來量測。因為UVA及UVB形式之輻射皆為有害的,所以防曬調配物提供免受兩種射線的保護。UV吸收劑包括諸如二氧化鈦之物理阻擋劑及諸如對胺基苯甲酸及甲氧基肉桂酸辛酯之化學吸收劑。在某些組合物中,由於非所需美學及毒理學效應而期望減小UV吸收劑之含量。

發明人現已出人意料地發現包含核聚合物、至少一種內殼聚合物及外殼聚合物之空隙化乳膠粒子提供SPF提昇及不透明度,其中所述核聚合物包含衍生自含有至少一個羧酸基之單烯系不飽和單體及非離子烯系不飽和單體之聚合單元,且所述內殼及外殼聚合物包含衍生自非離子烯系不飽和單體及脂族單體之聚合單元,所述脂族單體選自由以下組成之群:丙烯酸烯丙酯、甲基丙烯酸烯丙酯及其混合物,其中所述空隙化乳膠粒子含有以所述粒子之總重量計小於10重量%之苯乙烯。

本發明之個人護理組合物含有空隙化乳膠粒子。適用於本發明之空隙化乳膠粒子包含含有核聚合物、至少一種內殼聚合物及外殼聚合物之多階段粒子。核重量與總聚合物重量之比率為1:4(25%核)至1:100(1%核),且較佳地為1:8(12%核)至1:50(2%核)。

以粒子之總重量計,根據本發明之例示性空隙化乳膠粒子及比較性粒子含有分別呈4.7重量%、22.1重量%、26.8重量%及46.4重量%之量的核聚合物、第一內殼聚合物、第二內殼聚合物及第三外殼聚合物。例示性及比較性粒子皆含有核心及第一內殼之相同單體組合物,如表1中所述。表 1. 例示性及比較性粒子之核及第一內殼

對於例示性空隙化乳膠粒子P-E9,將796.9公克(g)去離子水添加至配備有頂置式攪拌器、熱電耦、加熱套、接頭入口,備有水冷凝器及氮氣入口之克氏蒸餾頭(Claisen head)的3升,4頸圓底燒瓶,且在氮氣下加熱至84℃。將0.30 g乙酸、含1.70 g過硫酸鈉之15.5 g去離子水添加至熱水中,接著添加69.1 g之31%固體聚(MMA/MAA//60/40)丙烯酸種子(核)聚合物之水性分散液,其具有大致185至205 nm之平均粒徑。歷經90分鐘將含有70 g去離子水、2.1 g 的23%十二烷基苯磺酸鈉(SDBS)之水溶液、91.6 g MMA、8.9 g BMA及3.1 g MAA之單體乳膠定量加至82℃下之此加熱混合物中,接著去離子水沖洗。接著,歷經90分鐘添加0.65 g過硫酸鈉於32.8 g去離子水中之溶液且使反應溫度升高至90℃同時歷經30分鐘添加含有70 g去離子水、1.9 g 23%SDBS水溶液、118.6 g MMA、0.9 g ALMA及0.70 g亞麻仁油脂肪酸之第二單體乳液。在完成第二單體乳液之添加時,添加含9.6 g水性28%氫氧化銨之23 g水且保持10 min。歷經60分鐘,將含有67.2 g去離子水、4.7 g的23%SDBS水溶液、165.7 g ALMA、49.7g MMA及6.1 g苯乙烯磺酸鈉之第三單體乳膠添加至91℃下的反應混合物中,接著去離子水沖洗。將反應器內含物保持在91℃下30分鐘,隨後向保持在91℃下的反應器中添加5.8 g含有0.10 g FeSO4.7H2O及0.10 g維爾烯(versene)之水溶液,接著歷經60分鐘同時添加含3.3 g第三丁基氫過氧化物(70%)之19.0 g去離子水及含1.7 g異抗壞血酸之19.0 g去離子水。將乳膠冷卻至室溫且接著過濾。所有其他例示性及比較性粒子大體上如上文所描述,在如表2中列出之單體量之適當變化下來製備。

例示性及比較性防曬調配物之 SPF
提昇加熱老化研究
藉由量測測試調配物之防曬係數(SPF)來評估如實例3及4中所製備之例示性及比較性防曬調配物在加熱老化後之保持吸收UV輻射能力之能力。SPF使用由藍菲光學公司(LabSpheres)(北薩頓,新罕布什爾州,美國(North Sutton, NH,USA))供應之具有積分球(integrating sphere)及SPF操作軟體的UV-2000S量測。UV 2000S量測樣品在UV輻射波長(對於各樣品為290至400 nm)上之UV吸光率且基於此UV吸光率頻譜計算SPF值。使用用於量測SPF之以下步驟。
使用圓線桿(wire round rod)以7毫克之量將所製備之組合物塗佈於5 cm乘5 cm之PMMA板上。在最初、在45℃下儲存2週後,及在45℃下儲存4週後量測調配樣品之SPF值。亦量測「對照物」且以相同方式儲存。如下計算SPF提昇%值:其中SPF
為在給定時間(即,初始、2週或4週)及在給定儲存溫度(45℃)下「樣品」及「對照物」之測量值。
本文中所描述之加速老化測試被認為近似用於在環境溫度下儲存之商用調配物(含有本發明之乳膠粒子)之期望保存期:例如在45℃下2週為3個月之後的保存期之估算,且在45℃下4週為6個月之後的保存期之估算。
在空隙化乳膠粒子之一定時間段的加熱老化以後,SPF提昇比率(SBR)計算如下:其中相比於S-C1,SBR為對空隙化乳膠粒子之SPF提昇功效的量測。具有SBR≥1.1之樣品意謂此類樣品性能勝過比較例S-C1;具有SBR≤0.9之樣品指示此類樣品比比較例S-C1性能差;具有0.9與1.1之間的SBR之樣品指示此類樣品與比較例S-C1性能同等水平。提昇比率隨加熱老化時間之減少指示空隙化乳膠粒子之熱穩定性較差。SBR研究之結果展示於表6中。表 6 . 例示性及比較性防曬調配物之 SPF 提昇率

評估如實例3及實例4中所製備之例示性及比較性防曬調配物之不透明度。在遮光模式下,使用具有45°/0°幾何之反射儀(NOVO Shade DUO)來量測不透明度。使用橫跨白色及黑色區域的3英里BYK濕膜鳥型膜塗覆器(bird type film applicator)將防曬調配物抽吸於Lenate型5C不透明卡片上。在量測之前允許將膜在室溫下乾燥隔夜。在白色區域上之膜之5個位置處量測反射係數,且基於此等5個值計算平均反射係數。在卡片之黑色區域上的膜上進行相同類型之量測,且計算平均反射係數。藉由取得兩個平均值之比率來計算黑色區域與白色區域之間的反射係數比率。所述比率為空心球在防曬調配物中之白化作用的量測值。數值愈低,與調配物相關聯之不透明度愈低。不透明度量測之結果展示於表7中。表 7. 例示性及比較性防曬調配物之不透明度 *

Claims (10)
- 一種個人護理組合物,包含: (A)空隙化乳膠粒子,包含 (i)包含聚合單元之核聚合物,所述聚合單元衍生自(a)以所述核聚合物之總重量計,20至60重量%之含有至少一個羧酸基之單烯系不飽和單體,及(b)以所述核聚合物之總重量計,40至80重量%之非離子烯系不飽和單體; (ii)至少一種內殼聚合物,包含(a)以所述內殼聚合物之總重量計,90至99.5重量%之非離子烯系不飽和單體,及(b)以所述內殼聚合物之總重量計,0.5至10重量%之脂族單體,所述脂族單體選自由以下組成之群:丙烯酸烯丙酯、甲基丙烯酸烯丙酯及其混合物;以及 (iii)包含聚合單元之外殼聚合物,所述聚合單元衍生自(a)以所述外殼聚合物之總重量計,20至45重量%之非離子烯系不飽和單體,及(b)以所述外殼聚合物之總重量計,55至90重量%之脂族單體,所述脂族單體選自由以下組成之群:丙烯酸烯丙酯、甲基丙烯酸烯丙酯及其混合物;及 (B)至少一種UV吸收劑, 其中所述空隙化乳膠粒子以所述組合物之總重量計以0.5至20重量%的量存在,且其中所述空隙化乳膠粒子含有空隙且具有400 nm至800 nm之粒徑,且其中所述空隙化乳膠粒子含有以所述粒子之總重量計小於10重量%之苯乙烯。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項所述之個人護理組合物,其中所述空隙化乳膠粒子基本上不含苯乙烯。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項所述之組合物,其中所述脂族單體以所述外殼聚合物之總重量計以57.5至80重量%的量存在於所述外殼聚合物中。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項所述之組合物,其中所述至少一種殼包含第一內殼聚合物及第二內殼聚合物。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項所述之個人護理組合物,其中所述外殼聚合物之所述非離子烯系不飽和單體包含選自由以下組成之群的單體:丙烯腈、(甲基)丙烯醯胺、(甲基)丙烯酸甲酯、(甲基)丙烯酸乙酯、(甲基)丙烯酸正丁酯、(甲基)丙烯酸異丁酯、(甲基)丙烯酸第三丁酯、環(甲基)丙烯酸己酯、(甲基)丙烯酸2-乙基己酯、(甲基)丙烯酸十二烷酯、(甲基)丙烯酸油烯酯、(甲基)丙烯十六烷酯、(甲基)丙烯酸十八烷酯、(甲基)丙烯酸異莰酯及其混合物。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項所述之組合物,其中 所述核聚合物之含有至少一個羧酸基的所述單烯系不飽和單體包含選自由以下組成之群的單體:(甲基)丙烯酸、(甲基)丙烯醯氧基丙酸、衣康酸、烏頭酸、順丁烯二酸、順丁烯二酸酐、反丁烯二酸、巴豆酸(cronotic acid)、檸康酸(citraconic acid)、順丁烯二酸酐、順丁烯二酸單甲酯、反丁烯二酸單甲酯、衣康酸單甲酯及其混合物,及 所述核聚合物之所述非離子烯系不飽和單體包含選自由以下組成之群的單體:乙烯、乙酸乙烯酯、氯乙烯、偏二氯乙烯丙烯腈、(甲基)丙烯醯胺、(甲基)丙烯酸甲酯、(甲基)丙烯酸乙酯、(甲基)丙烯酸正丁酯、(甲基)丙烯酸異丁酯、(甲基)丙烯酸第三丁酯、環(甲基)丙烯酸己酯、(甲基)丙烯酸2-乙基己酯、(甲基)丙烯酸十二烷酯、(甲基)丙烯酸油烯酯、(甲基)丙烯酸十六烷酯、(甲基)丙烯酸十八烷酯及其混合物。

- 一種保護皮膚免受UV損傷之方法,包含將有效量之個人護理組合物經表面投與至皮膚,所述個人護理組合物包含: (A)空隙化乳膠粒子,包含 (i)包含聚合單元之核聚合物,所述聚合單元衍生自(a)以所述核聚合物之總重量計,20至60重量%之含有至少一個羧酸基之單烯系不飽和單體,及(b)以所述核聚合物之總重量計,40至80重量%之非離子烯系不飽和單體; (ii)至少一種內殼聚合物,包含(a)以所述內殼聚合物之總重量計,90至99.5重量%之非離子烯系不飽和單體,及(b)以所述內殼聚合物之總重量計,0.5至10重量%之脂族單體,所述脂族單體選自由以下組成之群:丙烯酸烯丙酯、甲基丙烯酸烯丙酯及其混合物;及 (iii)包含聚合單元之外殼聚合物,所述聚合單元衍生自(a)以所述外殼聚合物之總重量計,20至45重量%之非離子烯系不飽和單體,及(b)以所述外殼聚合物之總重量計,55至90重量%之脂族單體,所述脂族單體選自由以下組成之群:丙烯酸烯丙酯、甲基丙烯酸烯丙酯及其混合物; 及(B)至少一種UV吸收劑, 其中所述空隙化乳膠粒子以所述組合物之總重量計以0.5至20重量%的量存在,且其中所述空隙化乳膠粒子含有空隙且具有400 nm至800 nm之粒徑,且其中所述空隙化乳膠粒子含有以所述粒子之總重量計小於10重量%之苯乙烯。
