一種洋流發電系統,係利用引水道將洋流引到高於海平面的蓄水池來發電。

Description

洋流發電系統
本發明係關於一種洋流發電系統,特別是關於一種岸置的洋流發電系統。
現今的洋流發電系統,多是將一水渦輪發電機沉入海中加以錨定,利用洋流帶動扇葉轉動來發電,再用電纜將電力傳送至岸上。此種系統的水渦輪發電機必須防水,並且在水中與電纜線相接,將電力傳回岸上。可以想見,此種水渦輪發電機必須對抗強大的深水水壓、水流以及海水腐蝕,因此造價不低,而且維護不易,如果發生故障,維修非常困難。因此基於成本與技術的限制,洋流發電產生很大的瓶頸。
因此,如何設計一種洋流發電系統,不需要配備高成本的深水發電機,但是又能夠利用洋流來發電,則可以大大降低目前的洋流發電成本,而且使發電機組的安裝及後續的維修更容易,使洋流發電更加可行。
有鑑於上述課題,本發明之目的為提供一種不需將發電機沉入深海中的洋流發電系統,以降低整個系統的製造及維護成本。
於一實施例,請參考圖1,依據本發明之一種洋流發電系統中,具有一引水道(Inlet Pipe),將洋流的水流引到岸邊的蓄水池,洋流之水流在到達岸邊的蓄水池時,其動能會變成位能,以類似湧泉的方式從引水道冒出海平面,因此蓄水池的水位會比海平面高,其高度主要由洋流的流速決定,就如動能轉位能的公式所示:1/2*MV2=Mgh,也就是每秒3公尺的流速大概可以造成比海平面高0.46公尺的湧泉(不計算引水道的磨擦損失時),蓄水池於是可以獲得比海平面高的水位,蓄水池另外有一出水道 (Outlet Pipe)連接到海裡,而發電機就安裝在出水道的地方,當蓄水池的水流回海裡時,即可帶動發電機發電。
如果要增加引水量,引水道的入口可以設計成喇叭狀,或是讓一個引水道具有多個入水口來收集洋流,如此一來就可以提高引水道中海水的流速,由於洋流是一種大面積的定速水流,因此當多個入水口都同時受到洋流推動時,可以有效的提高該引水道內的水流量與流速,也就是可以提高蓄水池的進水量,進而提高發電量。
於另一實施例,請參考圖2,依據本發明之一種洋流發電系統中,與前例類似,但是蓄水池被安裝在接近洋流附近的海平面上,該蓄水池可以用固定樁打入海床固定位置,或是做成浮水式使其可隨海平面高低浮動,當引水道將洋流引入蓄水池後,同樣經由出水道的發電機發電後流回大海,所產生的電力則利用海底電纜傳回岸上。
承上所述,本發明係將洋流引導至水面上,將洋流的動能轉成位能,再轉成電能,以便發電機可以安裝在水面上或是淺水處,不僅安裝成本較低,並且維護容易,水面下主要的設施為引水道與出水道,幾乎可以長期使用不須任何維護,若有必要清潔水道內的壁面時,還可以使用遙控機器人入內清潔,因此與其他的洋流發電系統比較,本發明具有低成本、抗腐蝕、維護容易、可長期使用的優點,另外蓄水池更可以調節出水量來控制發電量,所以更具有穩定發電的優點。

以下將參照相關圖式,說明本發明複數實施例之一種洋流發電系統,其中相同元件以相同符號表示。
如圖1所示,為本發明之第一實施例之洋流發電系統,係包含引水道1、蓄水池2、出水道3及發電機4。引水道1之入水口置於洋流 5經過的地方,收集洋流後引流至蓄水池2(蓄水池2安裝於陸地8上),使蓄水池2的儲水位7高於海平面6,蓄水池的水再經出水道3流回海中,發電機4利用流過出水道3的海水來發電。
如圖2所示,為本發明之第二實施例之洋流發電系統,與第一實施例不同處在於蓄水池2係安裝在海上接近洋流5的地方,利用支架9固定其位置。蓄水池2可以用類似浮式船塢的方式浮在海面上,而支架9也可以改用鏈條將蓄水池2以錨定的方式固定其位置。
承上所述,本發明之洋流發電系統僅利用引流的方式將洋流引至海面上,並將其動能轉成位能,然後再轉成電能,不需要高成本的水下渦輪發電機,具有低成本、耐用、易維護等優點。

Claims (3)

  1. 一種洋流發電系統,包含:一引水道,具有至少一入水口,該入水口安裝於一洋流通過之處收集洋流,將該洋流引至海面;一蓄水池,安裝於海面上,其蓄水位高於海平面,並連接該引水道,儲存由該引水道引入的海水;一出水道,具有一低於海平面的出水口,其入口連接該蓄水池並將蓄水池中的海水引流回海中;以及一發電機,置於該出水道,利用流過的海水發電。
  2. 如申請專利範圍第1項所述之洋流發電系統,其中該蓄水池係安裝於海岸邊。
  3. 如申請專利範圍第1項所述之洋流發電系統,其中該該蓄水池係安裝於接近該洋流之海平面上。
