Abstract
A time switch of the present invention comprises a motor, a timer mechanism section, a time indication section, a module, a switch mechanism section, and a device body. The timer mechanism section is driven by the motor and determines the current time. The time indication section indicates to the timer mechanism section the times at which to start and stop power supply to an external load. The module comprises at least a terminal block which has external power source connection terminals that are connected electrically to an external power source and load connection terminals that are connected electrically to the external load, a conductor which serves as the power supply line from the external power source connection terminals to the load connection terminals, and a power supply line opening and closing section which is connected electrically to the conductor and opens and closes the power supply line. The switch mechanism section closes or opens the power supply line by activating the power supply line opening and closing section when the power supply start time or power supply stop time indicated by the time indication section matches the current time as determined by the timer mechanism section. The device body houses the motor, the timer mechanism section, the time indication section, the module, and the switch mechanism section.
