Abstract

Provided is a resin cap (10) configured so that deterioration in the sealing properties of a container caused by heat sterilization is prevented. A resin cap is provided with: a top plate (11); a cylinder (12) hanging from the peripheral edge of the top plate (11); an inner ring (14) formed on the inner surface of the top plate (11) and coming into contact with the inner peripheral surface of a container mouth (20); and a contact ring (15) formed on the inner surface of the top plate (11) and coming into contact with the front end of the container mouth (20). The contact ring (15) is configured to be displaceable when in contact with the front end of the container mouth (20).
