Abstract

A circuit for driving a LED and a light apparatus thereof are provided. The circuit includes a regulating circuit, a first resistor, a first switch and a first control unit. The regulating circuit receives an alternating current power to provide a driving voltage to the LED. A terminal of the first resistor couples the LED. The first switch has a first terminal coupling to another terminal of the resistor, a second terminal coupling to a ground voltage, and a control terminal. The first control unit couples to the control terminal of the first switch and, turns-on or turns-off the first switch according to whether a voltage level of the driving voltage is greater than a first threshold voltage.
