Abstract

A connector mounting apparatus includes a mounting bracket for receiving a connector. The connector mounting apparatus further includes a securing bracket. The securing bracket includes a front wall and two side walls extending from opposite sides of the front wall. The front wall defines a mounting hole corresponding to the connector. Each side wall includes a side wall body, a resisting tab extending incliningly and inward from the side wall body, and an engaging tab extending incliningly and inward from the side wall body. The mounting bracket includes two recess portion defined two sides of the mounting bracket. The engaging tabs engage with the recess portion. The resisting tab is configured to resist the connector resiliently.

Connector mounting device

The invention relates to a mounting device, in particular to an EMI-proof connector mounting device.

Electronic equipment generates electromagnetic radiation during operation, which may degrade the performance of the overall system or may adversely affect external organisms or substances. This phenomenon is called EMI (Electro Magnetic Interference). Generally, the method for preventing EMI is to add an appropriate mask to the outside of the electronic device. Specifically, in the field of computer applications, the sealed structure of the computer case has the effect of preventing EMI. However, the general computer body will be equipped with a variety of interfaces, such as the USB interface, which provides the possibility of leakage of electromagnetic waves generated by electronic devices in the body.

In view of the above, it is necessary to provide an EMI-proof connector mounting device.

The fixing frame 200 includes a front wall 201 and two side walls 205 extending from opposite sides of the front wall 201. The front wall 201 is provided with a plurality of openings 203 corresponding to the connectors 70. Each of the side walls 205 includes a side wall body 206 , a plurality of abutting elastic pieces 207 extending obliquely from the side wall body 206 , and a plurality of locking pieces 208 extending obliquely inwardly from the side wall body 206 . The abutting elastic piece 207 is for elastically resisting the connector 70. The snap tab 208 is used for snapping into the recess 103.
