Abstract
Without relying upon an air fuel ratio sensor, it properly computes the loading status (e.g. inhaled air capacity) of an engine to perform the optimum operation control (e.g. an ignition time point control) when the rotation number of the engine is at a great variation condition. An operating control device for internal combustor calculates an average rotation number of the engine and a portion of crank angular velocity that is equivalent to a crank shaft. The ignition time then is decided according to the calculation result, wherein during a stroke P1 prior to a compression stroke PO to the ignition, the crank angular velocity ω is simultaneously calculated within the period of calculating the average rotation number Ne of the engine.
