Abstract

Apparatus and method for making a wire formed of a thermoplastics material and having a surface, which surface comprises a multi-coloured irregular surface pattern. The wire is, preferably, resiliently flexible and in the form of a tube, cylinder or cable. The preferred plastic is a thermoplastic polyurethane. The multi-coloured surface pattern may provide an aesthetic or camouflage appearance to the wire for use in the horticultural, or telecommunications and computer fields.
