A concentricity-checking apparatus for checking a concentricity between a lens barrel and a base engaged with each other includes a location recording device for recording locations of the lens barrel and a rotation-driving device for driving the lens barrel to rotate circling the central axis of the lens barrel. The rotation-driving device includes a driving wheel having with a structure engaging with the outer edge of lens barrel. A concentricity checking method using the concentricity-checking device is also provided.
