Abstract

A fastening device includes a casing, a hook, a linkage, a positioning portion, and a detecting pin. A hole is defined in the casing for allowing the hook to pass there-through. The hook is engageable and disengageable with a peripheral apparatus as the linkage moves. The positioning portion is coupled to the linkage. The positioning portion includes a first guiding surface and a first contacting surface. The detecting pin includes a second guiding surface and a second contacting surface. The detecting pin disengages with the positioning portion when the peripheral apparatus disengages with the fastening device. The detecting pin contacts with the positioning portion when the peripheral apparatus engages with the fastening device. The first guiding surface and the second guiding surface slide with respect to each other when contacting. The first contacting surface and the second contacting surface resist against each other when contacting. A docking station using the fastening device is also disclosed.
