Abstract
To provide a heat pump type water heater with small COP deterioration even when heat exchange using a circulation circuit is carried out. The heat pump type water heater is provided with a first hot water storage tank 2, a second hot water storage tank 4, and a heat pump type heating source 10. Low temperature water discharged from a hot water storage tanks is supplied to a heat exchanger 11 of the heat pump type heating source via a low temperature side piping 13, and high temperature water heated by the heat exchanger is sent into the first hot water storage tank and the second hot water storage tank via a high temperature water side piping. The high temperature water heated by the heat exchanger is selectively stored in one of the first hot water storage tank or the second hot water storage tank.
