Abstract

This invention relates to a bracing-wire clutch for bracing-wires on a bicycle to operate brakes and gears, especially hub-gears. The bracing-wire clutch is composed of a wire-hanger with a fitting on a bracing-wire and a hook-part on a second bracing-wire. In addition, a wire-shell hanger is provided, so as to support through a connection-part a wire-shell on a component such as hub-axis, brake or frame. In order to separate the bracing-wire clutch, a return-spring is loaded by pulling the bracing-wire and is hanged out similar to the fitting on the hook-part, or in order to improve operation, the wire-shell hanger is previously pulled out from the connection-part.
