Abstract

Embodiments of the present invention include cured elastomeric materials of high purity, compositions for making them, and articles comprising the cured elastomeric materials. Embodiments of the invention include cured elastomers that have less than 200 ng/cm<SP>2</SP> of calcium. In some embodiments, the cured elastomer is made from cross linked ethylene-propylene-diene terpolymers and can be free from cross linked fluoroelastomers or silicone elastomers. The cured elastomers in embodiments of the present invention may be used for seals including o-rings and gaskets.
