Abstract

Dephosphorization process of molten iron in the present invention is by adding a dephosphorization refining agent mainly composed of CaO into iron to form slag. A supply system supplies gaseous oxygen source to the liquid surface of the molten iron and the other supply system supplies solid oxygen source by using a carrier gas to the nearby liquid surface of the molten iron where gaseous oxygen source is supplied. Thus, superior dephosphorization efficiency and iron yield over the conventional method can be obtained without using fluorine-containing flux.
