Abstract
A low supply voltage band-gap reference circuit, a negative temperature coefficient current generation unit thereof and a method for supplying bandgap reference current are provided. The low supply voltage band-gap reference circuit includes a positive negative temperature coefficient current generation unit and the negative temperature coefficient current generation unit, wherein the band-gap reference circuit is implemented with manner of current summing. The present invention can reduce the voltage headroom and the number of OP amplifiers requested by traditional voltage-summing manner to induce extra offset voltages into the output voltage with current-mode temperature compensation technique, so as to generate a stable and low-voltage band-gap reference current. Moreover, the present invention can save chip area and reduce chip cost by reducing the number of OP amplifiers and resistors with large values of resistances.
