Abstract

A thread tensioner device includes a pair of tension disks which holds a thread therebetween, a driving mechanism operable to move one tension disk toward or away from the other tension disk, and a driving source operable to drive the driving mechanism. The driving source includes a mover having a mover shaft which moves along an axial direction and permanent magnets attached to the mover shaft, a stator having coils that are wound around the permanent magnets with a predetermined interval with respect to the permanent magnets, and bearings which supports respective ends of the mover shaft. The bearing that supports the end of the mover shaft on a far side from the pair of tension disks is a plate spring bearing formed of a plate spring.
