Abstract

A Chinese phonetic symbol input method of an electronic device is disclosed. The present invention relates to an input method, and more particularly, to a Chinese phonetic symbol input method applicable for a mobile terminal electronic device. Current commonly used phonetic symbol input methods generally have the problem of keying in too many times when inputting Chinese characters. During a data transmission procedure, character input is one of the most popular operations. With regard to an electronic device with a small keyboard such as a PDA or a mobile phone, a quick and easy Chinese input method becomes even more important. The objective of the present invention is to solve the above problems by providing a Chinese phonetic symbol input method applicable for an electronic device such as a mobile phone, a PDA and a Palm, thereby achieving the objective of quickly inputting Chinese characters.
