Abstract

Diffuser shaping method and its application of a direct type backlight module are provided. The diffuser will pass through a roller wheel set that has a top roller wheel and a bottom roller wheel during shaping process, wherein the micro structures installed on the surface of the top roller wheel will be printed on the diffuser to form optical micro structures on the diffuser by pressing and heating the top roller wheel when the diffuser forms. Therefore, optical film is not necessary for processing diffusing and condensing of the light source when the diffuser is applied in backlight module, so it is able to reduce prime cost of optical film of a backlight module.
