Abstract

This invention provides apparatus and its method for searching a scenic spot. It is installed in a navigation system which can generate a navigation path, to allow users to designate a scenic spot category. It comprises a range-limiting module, a searching module, an analysis module, and a monitor module. The range-limiting module is utilized to generate a preset scope corresponding to the navigation path. Within the preset scope, the searching module searches for at least a scenic spot that complies with the scenic spot category. Subsequently, based on location of the user and weighted scenic spots, the analysis module forms a weighted scenic spot list. Finally, the monitor module displays the weighted scenic spot list so that the user can explicitly acquire the nearest scenic spot from the present location.
