Abstract

This invention provides a request-scheduling method for providing different service at the gateway of a network channel. According to three parameters of a request packet, including size of response packet, transmission time of response packet and response delay of response packet, it is able to calculate the bandwidth occupied by the response packet relative to the request packet on a network connection. Then, according to the transmission frequency of the request packet in the control type, a fair and shareable bandwidth is provided. This method can reduce the probability of packet collision occurred on a connection path while maintaining a high bandwidth usage rate. As a result, this invention can be applied to the gateway of a network channel at an enterprise end to manage bandwidth in order to provide different service that can be shared between different users. Moreover, this invention can effectively reduce the loading of a system.
