Abstract

The invention relates to a standard positioning device and method of a color wheel. The color wheel includes plural penetrating holes arranged at the initial position of each color of the color wheel, a shooting unit and a receiver unit oppositely arranged at both sides of the color wheel, wherein the shooting unit shoots an one-way signal which passes through the color wheel via the penetrating holes to be received by the receiver unit. The receiver unit first detects the receiving status of the one-way signal, so as to identify each color of the color wheel based on the one-way signal passing through the penetrating holes. Furthermore, it is capable of judging the standard point for the penetrating hole to correspond to the color wheel according to the influence on the signal modulation of the received one-way signal caused by the penetrating holes so as to identify the proper switching time for the signal modulation of the received one-way signal to correspond to each color of the color wheel.
