Abstract
To provide a rear projection display apparatus that can suppress the occurring of moir6 in the screen picture. The rear projection display apparatus of this invention is a display apparatus, in which a lenticular lens sheet 111 formed by the line-up of a plurality of lenticular lens 211, is projected by the image light generated by Digital Micro-mirror Device (DMD) and then displays the screen picture. By performing the Fourier transformation on the illumination pattern of pixels for the black picture display, let the periodic amplitude strength be coincident with one DMD pixel period as A, and let the brightness average of the previous picture range as B, the rear projection display apparatus is characterized by A/B<0.045.
