Abstract

A heat-dissipating device, a fan, includes a frame and an impeller. The impeller is disposed within the frame, and the frame includes an inlet, an outlet and a cylindrical passage for guiding airflow from the inlet to the outlet. A curved enlarge part smoothly extends from the inside-perimeter of the frame and is disposed at the inlet or the outlet for increasing airflow. Further, the curved enlarge part has a recess for allowing airflow to form a hypothetical air cushion therein, thereby preventing the follow-up airflow from contacting with the inside-perimeter of the frame. Therefore, noise produced by airflow contacting with the frame can be reduced and the heat dissipating effect is improved.
