Abstract

This invention relates to an electrical discharge machining device used for performing micro-machining. The device includes a base, a second linear motion device installed on the base, and a first linear movement device installed on the base with an electrode unit mounted on the top. The electrode unit consists of a motor, an elastic element, an tool electrode, and a V-shaped block. The tool electrode is mounted on the V-shaped block through the elastic element and the motor. The motor is used for driving the tool electrode to turn. There is a carrying-seat mounted on the second linear motion device, which includes a tool electrode-trimmer and a work-piece holder. When using for machining, the first motion device and the second motion device are moved so as to bring the tool electrode to contact with the work-piece for performing desired electrical discharge machining. When using for trimming the tool electrode, the first movement device and the second movement device are moved so as to bring the tool electrode to contact with the tool electrode trimmer for trimming the tool electrode to desired precision.
