Abstract

A joining and forming method for films of polystyrene containers, by joining a polystyrene container to a film in a polystyrene forming machine. The joining and forming method includes the steps of: placing a pre-made film in a pair of detachable and attachable forming mold units, clamping the film between the mold units when the mold units attach to each other; injecting more than one polystyrene particles into a cavity of the forming mold units; injecting heated steam into the cavity of the forming mold units; and pressing and heating the polystyrene particles by the heated steam so as to cause the polystyrene particles to form monomer foaming configuration thereby joining the film to the polystyrene container for adhering the film over the surface of the polystyrene container.
