Abstract

Provided is a warming article having an element generating heat by the supply of oxygen to it, which can maintain one side thereof at a high temperature for a long time. In a heating section (11) of a warming article (1), a first heat insulating layer (32) formed by a foamed resin sheet is arranged on one side of a heat generating element (31) containing a metal powder, water and a salt, and a second heat insulating layer (33) formed by a foamed resin sheet is arranged on the other side of the heat generating element. In the first heat insulating layer (32), through holes (34) are formed for passing heated air and water vapor through it, and the above through holes are not formed in the second heat insulating layer (33). The both sides of the heat generating element (31) are thermally insulated by the heat insulating layers (32, 33) and thus the heat generated from the heat generating element (31) is mainly released to the body side surface (2), and as a result, the inside of the heating section (11) can be maintained at a high temperature for a long time and the body side surface (2) can be held in a prescribed temperature range for a long time.
